What a wonderful place, only a 10 minutes walk from Stepney Green underground station. The animals are very friendly and it was great fun feeding them. You can also purchase fruit and veg that have been grown here. There are toilets and a cafe here as well. We really enjoyed our visit.

Lovely Farm I fell in love with the pig and sheep there. There is fresh produce stalls highly recommend a visit I will be certainly returning.

Great place to spend an afternoon in the east end. Seeing a working farm amongst the urban sprawl is as refreshing as you’d expect (and as smelly!) the animals are lovely, you can buy a bag of feed for £1 and to top it off the food is as nice as the surroundings.
A. A.
Visit here on a weekly basis. Fun to just see the animals and stock up on my farm grown hand made organic apple juice.
E. A.
Nice little farm for the kids. The area was a bit restricted so couldn't get close to the sheep but it was good. My son loved seeing the animals.

Love this place; an oasis of rural farm life in the middle of East London. If you have young kids and live in the area it will quickly become a regular destination. Most farmyard animals can be found here and you can feed them yourself (purchase feed for £1 per bag from the farm). A modest selection of produce and plants are available at reasonable prices and they do a weekend Market and other events too.

Wonderful farm with wonderful staff, they rescue animals and they are a non sluter fram; what is lovely if you're vegetarian or vegan.
The staff are very warm and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. They also grow fresh fruit and veg that you can purchase from the farm shop.
Would definitely recommend this lovely City Farm :-)

Nice little farm in the heart of east London. Not many animals to see but enough for the little ones to stretch their legs and see some animals! Albiet it is filled with gentrified customers and not the locals, but still nice atmosphere with a restaurant serving fresh food from thr farm.
G. C.
A little gem if you live near Stepney. A beautiful and clean farm, with animals, plants and cafe. There are workshops and volunteer sessions if you want to be more engaged.
D. M.
Decent place for lunch when the weather is good for outdoor eating if you don't mind a farm smell.
Nice spot in the heart of the East end.
M. C.
Friendly staff grate choice in gresh food. Very clean and so many different things to enjoy aswell as the animals....
H. C.
Nice little urban farm, perfect for a day out with children. Kids get such joy out of this place as they can see, feed and sometimes pet some of the animals. The farm also has a great cafe that serves fantastic hot and cold food.
A. F.
This is the cutest farm right in the centre of London. It’s so hidden but work a trip. Make sure you pack the Wellington boots because it sure is mucky!!
At the moment, obvious restrictions in place but you can still meet a good few animals and enjoy the “countryside” with Canary Wharf in the background.

Decent little farm
Just wish that on my visit all the animals were viewable.

Stunning place to breathe green and enjoy what mother nature give to us and all of this in the middle of London. Food is great, nice flat white and amazing IPA organic beer, a must try.

Had the best Sunday afternoon here. Beautiful breakfast and service at their Humble Bee cafe (newspapers, games, food is local produce or grown next door) Walked around the farm after; allotments, farm animals, arts workshops, children's area. It's a gem and I'll be coming back!

Small city farm .
R. M.
I held a baby shower in the 'Classroom' at the farm and can't fault it - the sweetest farm and most helpful team! Our guests loved having a wonder around to visit all the animals.
T. B.
If you live close by, I recommend - my favourite time is to go on a Saturday when they have a market free access. The market has stalls selling fresh organic vegetables, high quality meat, sausages, cheeses, pickles, hams, coffees and sometimes hot food!
You can walk around the small vicinity to see and feed the animals - goats, pigs, donkeys! You can pay £1 and get some animal feed safe to eat.
J. L.
Lovely place to pop-in and out of - my children love it. You can purchase animal feed to bring around with you. It takes less than 30 minutes to see the whole thing. The café is very nice with an indoor and outdoor sitting area. If you still have energy to burn afterwards, Stepney green park and st Dunstan's church (bells of Stepney from the old nursery rhyme) are both next door.
N. M.
Fantastic day out! A fascinating and really well managed working farm in the heart of the city. Bottle feeding lambs is a treat and the pigs are truly magnificent (probably delicious too eventually)!
J. R.
Such a wonderful visit - go now to see the baby goats and sheep. Only docking a star because the coffee cups lids don't fit, there was too much liquid in the cup, it was too hot, and I burnt my hand
v. p.
Very nice little farm. A lot of different animals
K. M.
Lovely way to escape for a nutritious breakfast in a relaxing environment complete with goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens and fresh herb garden. Staff very helpful and coffee excellent! Such a great assets to the area 👍
D. C.
A lovely community spot. Great for little ones. Covid measures in full force which was great. Will have to come back for pats and feeding the animals.
J. F.
My wife and I moved in nearby in the midst of the pandemic, and would walk around the outside of the farm on weekdays. We were delighted to discover that they were open on Saturdays with a Farmer's market. We have gone and bought groceries every weekend since then from the friendly vendors and have interacted with the farm volunteers. The cafe sells delicious food and drinks, and the whole experience really helped us be less lonely during the lockdown and we will still go for the foreseeable future.
J. S.
Really lovely place that we all loved when we attended a family 1st birthday today.
Boys loved the animal feeding and petting with very friendly staff who really went out of their way to look after us.
Lots of adult artsy activities going on by the look of it so a very community feel.
A real hidden gem!
K. H.
I gave 5 stars because this our local cityfarm. Lovely place to hang out with kids and have a picnic. But maybe not worth of travelling from far.
M. B.
Is a good farm. You can find pigs, rabbits, sheeps, hens, etc. They also have a market every Saturday what I think is quite cool. On top they have a caffe with a chill zone. Simply amazing!
H. B.
Wonderful little city farm. Great place for adults and kids alike. Staff are friendly and helpful, animals are well cared for and a lovely atmosphere all round. Plenty of opportunity for children to feed the animals with feed bought cheaply onsite, all done on trust. Gorgeous little cafe/restaurant onsite too. The whole place had my son enthralled for hours!
K. U.
Visited again, and still great to see a working farm so close to the city. I have forgotten nd memories from the days of the Stepping Stones Farm. Long may it continue to flourish.
Small animals, goats, chicken plus small scale agricultural efforts make this a very pleasing retreat in the middle of a very busy urban area
M. P.
Such great place to hang out, for adults and children alike. The food is really nice, especially the scrambled eggs, and there's a farmers market every Saturday.
F. K.
Charming little farm with a relaxed vibe within which little ones can meet the animals which was sadly ruined by the stone cold hospitality received from a staff member at the cafe (tall blond lady). Not even a 'hello' or any of the pleasantries, just a point blank stare while I quickly skimmed through what's available to place my order and leave the akward and uncomfortable encounter behind.
r. a.
This is such a wonderful place and a local gem. A rare cafe to have a view of goats playing, a tudor wall and the city skyline. I am giving it 5 stars because I can see how much work has gone into the farm and I'd love to volunteer as it is a special place. However I have had mildly bad experiences with the friendliness of the service. On two separate occasions I have found the FOH manager to be snarky and almost made me feel like I didn't belong there. Today when I asked for tobasco for the eggs she almost laughed at me. That kind of hipster/holier than thou attitude made me feel bad however the rest of the staff are really friendly. And it is a gem of a place. I hope to return for pottery lessons some time though I now personally will avoid being served at the cafe.
p. 1.
A wonderful farm in the heart of E1. Not the most biggest of farms however plenty to animals to see alongside a small market, arts and crafts and allotments.
No parking restrictions over the weekend and parking was easy to find on one of the side roads. The cafe is very expensive with hipster food including avocado and other items I could barely understand. We got out food from Sainsbury’s which is a 7 minute walk from the farm. You can eat the food on benches near the barn area. Will definitely return.
S. R.
Nice place to visit with kids. They can learn about farms, foods source, animals etc
N. F.
One of my favourite places in London, the Stepney City Farm stands out as an oasis of calm and rural charm in the gritty heart of east London. Located opposite the beautiful medieval church of St Dunstan's (one of the churches mentioned in the nursery rhyme 'Oranges and Lemons'), it is home to Berkshire hogs, Soay sheep and more animals than you think possible. The staff are all very friendly, and are happy to share their knowledge of (and obvious love for) the animals in their care. There's a thriving allotment, a wildlife pond, with another being built, a shop and superb café on site, all balm to the soul in a time of pandemic and social distancing. The café is superb, catering to vegan vegetarian and carnivore with equal aplomb - my bacon in focaccia was delicious, and the dahl both looked and smelled scrumptious. Another place which demands a return visit as soon as possible!
V. d. C.
I took a 5 week ceramics course here with Jess Joss that I would definitely recommend!
A. B.
Went for lunch Veg curry rice, was ok I'm a meat eater lol
A worker there made my son pasta because He wasn't allowed curry .
V. S.
We really like the farm & Saturday farmers market there. We are regulars to the farm & market.
I. “. L.
Fantastic place to hang out and learn about animals! The place is kept really clean by the staff and all covid guidelines are followed so felt super safe. Would highly suggest for a fun weekday or weekend activity!
S. M.
Cute city farm in the heart of East London. Would have liked to explore it more as I was only here for a pottery class so didn't get a chance to look around.
L. K.
Amazing little goats and lambs born in March! Go and see them!
J. B.
Good for kids. Also a farmer's market happening on Saturdays.
C. T.
Nice small farm. Entrance is for free. The farm highly relies on volunteers and donations to survive.
A. P.
Beautiful place to visit. This working farm in the heart of London is still open on Saturday mornings for their Farmers Market. Plenty of fresh and delicious food! 😋
N. W.
This is a wonderful farm and community resource. The cafe is amazing with absolutely delicious, healthy food. There are lots of different animals to see, and feed, and a great play area and garden for kids. The staff were friendly and helpful, plus the farm is a lovely, calm, green space in the middle of the city. Well worth a visit, with or without kids, and a fantastic (and free) way to unwind if you're feeling a bit stressed (as we were). A trip here is definitely good for wellbeing and relaxation and they have plenty of opportunities to get involved in the farm if you want to visit regularly. We arrived tired and frazzled and left calm, refreshed and happy.
R. H.
Great FREE day out with the kids. Staff are friendly and plenty of animals to see. Hidden gem with a rural feel amongst the concrete jungle backdrop of London. Plenty of bay parking on the weekend which is free
D. T.
Kids loved it, didn't want to leave. Feeding the baby goats and sheep is their new favourite thing. They already asked to go back next weekend.
V. W.
Nothing but pure love for this local farm. Wonderful sat food market, interesting courses and obviously a real support to the local community life. Animals are all cute and clearly well looked after by people who have a passion for the farming life and are willing to share that knowledge with all.
f. b. 4. l.
Good place to walk around. Age up to 12 years have fun small pets look good. Only down side you can not feed or interact with the animal
S. P. L.
Went for pottery class. Michelle was really great and patient with us. Would definitely recommend!
T. Y.
Went for Saturday Farmers Market, located in the corner, on the other side of the Cafe. Bought some yummy cheese... and a scrumptious Brownie.
E. S. R.
A lovely city farm! I never miss their farmer's market on Saturday morning and just started taking yoga classes in their classroom on Thursday evenings. A great place to bring children - they can feed the animals and learn about nature!
Y. H. K.
I love this place. Such a friendly community atmosphere. Great little cafe, nice Saturday farmers market and a beautiful wee farm with a good selection of animals to visit. I've become good friends with the donkeys. Quite a few family friendly activities available too.
V. M.
At weekend there could be a queue to enter the farm than better come before 11 am.Very relaxing ,good small food matket on Saturdays. Also there cafe with cozy place to sit outside. But at weekends that cafe always very busy.I love this farm, the staff take good care of animals and garden.
M. A.
Always great visiting the farm animals
G. J.
My favourite place in London, a proper working city farm, you can even buy their meat if you come at the right time of year. Shame the cafe isn't open but there is still a good farmers market on a Saturday - first place I tried a cronut! Lots of animals to see and inspiration for your gardening at home
A. D.
Fab experience for kids and adults alike. It's on my doorstep and I love being able to wander around to see the animals and buy some local products at the farmers market on Saturdays.
Great to have such a fantastic community so close to where I live. I'll definitely be back and would love to volunteer on an ad-hoc basis.
J. B.
I did some volunteering here (the place is run by volunteers) for a day in June, so got to see the farm in quite a lot of detail. The animals are lovely and friendly, I was surprised how much like dogs the pigs are. This place is very much about community - there are workshops for refugees to learn new skills, activities for children, and most importantly a little piece of countryside in the middle of one of the poorest parts of London. The staff do a wonderful job of making you feel welcome and look after the animals to a very high standard.
S. K.
Has some sweet and lovely goats and kids at the moment, really nice to walk through on a sunny day.
Farmers market on Saturday 10-15 is fun and the cafe is nice too. They also host bike surgeries and pottery classes which look like fun.
Currently some of the site is occupied by crossrail, but I look forward to seeing the farm reclaim the land on the next couple of years.
S. W.
Love Stepney farm if you go check out humble bee for food and drink
J. C.
Visited the farmer's market which happens on Saturday. Nice atmosphere but limited number of stalls (about 6). The cafe seems to do a good selection of both meaty and vegetarian food. For kids, the animal petting looks like it would make a great afternoon out!
R. B.
Great place for kids to enjoy.
S. D.
Amazing free entry working farm - a slice of heaven with kids and adults learning ☺️ deserves any donation it gets!!
A. A. R.
This an awesome place inside east London. A bit of the countryside in one of the largest city in Europe. It has a very nice Saturday market and a beautiful coffeeshop
M. B.
A nice lil farm in the city! Its situated in East London The closest tube would be Stepney Green but there’s a bus stop close by so you can reach there by bus.
Perfect outing for kids since they will enjoy a day out looking at farm animals and produce. They have goats, pigs, duck, sheep, rabbits, chicken etc. They also have a farmer’s market every Saturday so you could pick up fresh produce. There’s a small cafe in the farm as well which serves Breakfast too.
Lovely place to visit!
S. R.
Delicious food from the allotment kitchen. Ideal for a take away coffee and brunch. Very excited for the supper clubs in the garden too, when restrictions lift
M. K.
Good farm to take your kids to see animals on nice beautiful day
I. A.
The best products with the best sellers. Amazing staff and amazing farm. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
C. S.
Wonderful farm, especially for small children with friendly, helpful farmers. You can feed some animals for £1. Energetic goats, gentle donkeys, sheep, huge pigs, variety of fowl, rabbits, Guinea pigs etc. There's a forge and a pottery too. Café serves outstanding coffee, hot choc and food: prices not the cheapest as it needs to fund farm. Not 5 stars just because customer service needs some work.
Busy farmers market on Saturdays.
M. K.
Stepney City Farm is one of the most lovely and adorable places in the East of London. Great cafe, lovely staff, cool places for kids to play, and most of all adorable farm animals. Brings back memories of my own childhood every time I visit.
C. M.
Lovely small farm in the heart of the East End
j. 8.
Love it.My daughter have fun every simple time.
Saturday farmer market everything good quality. Vegetables, fruit ,meat ,juice....
B. S.
I have been taking the kids for nearly a decade and this place is getting better
- Farm market : great seasonal veg. Reasonably priced, great meat& poultry, chicken and duck eggs, bread,...
- farm: great for children
- cafe: really good new management offering great food and welcoming service
H. O.
Lovely farm! A clean and friendly place to enjoy with your family. My children love the animals in the farm and the animals are very friendly too! We had a amazing time!
A. D.
Such beautiful animals including 2 baby goats that were recently added to the family. Make sure you donate to them online if you can, they are struggling for the moment!
E. A.
A really lovely Sunday morning visit with gorgeous animals you can feed & a well looked after piece of the countryside in the east end of London.
knowledgeable friendly staff & a cafe/food bar on site.Donations however small are most welcome as its supported only by the public.
J. G.
Obviously an amazing place with lots of interesting work going on, especially for the children. But I went hoping to enjoy lingering close up views of the animals and their behaviour, and there was absolutely nowhere to sit down near to them. There's a very distant glimpse of the sheep from the seats outside the cafe, and that was it. So if you have a bad back, hip, knee etc., you'd be wise to take some painkillers before you come.
B. S.
Great spot to grab a coffee and try to ignore the sounds of the city. Free wifi and a slow vibe makes it a good place to reflect or socialize
M. U.
It's a city farm. It does what it says on the tin but also has a cafe, artists' studios and allotments. Great fun to be had for all ages.
B. W.
Great cafe, lovely vibe, and of course the farm is pretty unusual. The Saturday farmers' market is a great addition, and there's an organic Veg box scheme (Tower Green Hamlets) that offers pick ups here. In many ways Stepney City Farm showcases Tower Hamlets at its diverse best, a cross-section of the Community visit and are inspired.
G. M.
Lovely place to take my niece to see all the animals! She loves it!
O. T.
Amazing city farm! We've lived just down the road for about 6 years and it's got better and better. Our 3 kids love it and they've just started a Saturday farmers market that brings a great sense of community to the area. Would highly recommend
l. f.
It’s a very nice place, but I find it nonsense that dogs aren’t allowed at the coffee spot.
I understand that there should be restriction where the other animals are, but why is the coffee area banned for dogs as well?
M. H.
Pottery evening!!! Something completely and utterly new and loved it!!! Simon was a great help and put us at ease and I think we came out with some nice little bowls!! Was such a laugh, will definitely be back! Thank you so much. Mat Libs and Georgie
P. K.
nice place, definitely good coffee, and stalls with cheese and vegetables.
E. C.
come for the pigs but stay for the unreasonably good coffee
S. A.
Love seeing animals so it’s always a good place to get some animal therapy when busy life in London gets too much. Thank you for allowing this space to be open to everyone.
l. s.
Great farm, friendly staff - my nephew loved being shown how to feed George & Dunstan (the resident donkeys). The farm has also has a good cafe & on Saturdays a very good farmers market. Lucky to have this in E14.
I. B.
Fabulous hidden corner. Best brownies, and the animals are fun too.
M. A.
Great place to take the kids out to on a weekend or school holiday, they host a small farmers market on weekends too. The adjoining park seems to be rife with hoodlums with Mary Jane.
a. b.
Great little place, with a few great animals? Not the largest place but definitely unique in its own way? It's lovely to have a farm locally? Kids love it and it's pretty clean?
M. D.
Went to Stepney City Farm for a wood carving class, it was great, teacher took us through the basics of whittling / carving wood over three hours, there's more advanced classes available (bench making) would definitely recommend if it's your sort of thing and you're free on a Sunday.
T. G.
Epic food and drinks and a sensible price for the quality. As a side note it is local and a community project however the food can be the focus. Do go!
M. L.
Good place to visit with kids as you can walk around and pet the animals. Cute little farmer's market on Saturday with about 10 stalls ranging from cakes, jams and pastries to different sorts of meat.
L. C.
Beautiful little farm in the middle of the city! Demonstrations (sheep shearing whilst we were there) a cafe and every second Sunday a farmer's market. Must see if you live in the area.
i. t.
Wanna feel like in the countryside in the middle of London? Stepney city farm offers a great view on both the City and Canary Wharf while being surrounded by pigs and goats! The farmers' market on saturday has different stalls every week: if you are lucky, you can taste delicious galettes and crepes and sip nice organic apple juices. Don't miss craft activities like pottery and bags sewing workshops during the week, plus some kids activities.
E. V.
Love the farmers markets every Saturday 1000-1500. This is, hands down, the best thing in Stepney. Maybe in Tower Hamlets. Such a fantastic place.
F.
Love the idea of a city farm! They have a saturday market to sell their production, a coffee shop and if you're looking for council compost bins they can help to! Staff is very friendly and helpful!
A. M.
Lovely people, delicious veggie breakfast and cozy environment! Happy to see some great initiatives on saving battery chickens! ❤️ and the brownie is a delight
H. R.
Lovely chill place, ideal when it's sunny outside to take a break from the city and enjoy a bit of quietness with some delicious cocktails and good simple food.
A. G.
Nice small city farm with cafe and stalls.
A. D.
A small oasis in the middle of Whitechapel - they do lovely flowers, veg boxes, and the hot drinks and baked goods are amazing
T. S.
lovely place, nice staff and local farmer’s market on Saturdays!
a.
I used to live 5 minutes away from here when I lived in East London. Visted here on a number of occasions, mainly for school trips. It's not the biggest farm in the world but as it was my nearest farms it holds lots of nice memories. Haven't been in years but hopefully I'll get to visit before it gets shut down.
K. B.
Rented an AirBnB place just down the street and so looking for breakfast places and decide to come here based on Yelp reviews and the concept.
Got an awesome cup of hot chocolate (they have x4 kinds - white, regular, chili and Turkish - I got regular) and a bubble n Squeak plus a wholemeal rice risotto and cost was around £13.
M. U.
Great local farm
Very welcoming
Always has things going on in the community.
L. M.
We live nearby and visit the farm almost every Saturday.
The farm offers a few dishes, mostly made with ingredients produced locally. Eggs with mushrooms are excellent!
The farmers' market is on Saturday. I don't find veggies particularly tasty, but the bread is worth a visit. There is also an Italian guy selling products from Emilia-Romagna. We managed to find the "aceto balsamico" from the Acetaia Giusti, the oldest producers of balsamic vinegar in the world!
C. W.
Lovely place, friendly animals, will come back
Y. O.
Had a lovely time there with my friend walked around then had coffee and cake .
T. B.
I was really looking forward to this farm for over a year but couldn't get there due to me living on the other side of the city and other responsibilities. After finally getting there, we didn't know where is the entrance or how does the whole thing work. We approached what it seemed like a restaurant and the ladies apparently working there gave us kind of a "don't come here again" look. The whole farm is extremely unorganised, there are items laying everywhere on the ground and no staff to be found.
A. J. R. S.
My grandsons party was held here, local parking was ok as it was a Sunday, but other days parking would be difficult great place for children to visit & to meet farm animals
J. K.
Beautiful farm with tasty coffee and food, and super friendly staff. The Saturday farmers marker is excellent value and everyone is lovely to get to know.
E. C.
Really lovely city farm with community vegetable growing areas, a cute little café with some resident cats and more cute animals. A day out the whole family will enjoy!
J. L.
Decent little farm, myself and a few friends did a few hours voluntary work. The coffee shop on here also has a great selection of food and drink avaliable.
J. F.
Took my friend and her 4yr old.He loved it.Had farmers market day we went. One stall was organic parmasen cheese made quite local.Delicious.
L. H.
A lovely little city farm with a variety of small animals - pigs, sheep, goats, donkeys, ducks, chickens, small furries, etc. They have a farmers' market on Saturdays and a café on site. You can buy cups of feed to feed the animals.
A. M.
Cute little farm, perfect for a few hours of fun with the kids. There's also a café and a farmer's market with great produce at very reasonable prices (much cheaper than most supermarket!)
w. a.
Have been working on the Crossrail site next door for 2 years. I have used the farm cafe now and again not every day and the customer service and food(including coffee) is wonderful 👍
M.
Lovely little farm with lots to see and do.
J. M.
A wonderful city farm, close to Limehouse DLR. Attractions include fresh farm produce (eggs, meat), a working blacksmith and carpenter (free demonstrations for children most weekends) and a wide range of animals.
L. W.
Been volunteering here for three years, and the community is so welcoming, the cafe has delicious food made with farm produce, and the animals are adorable!
P. V.
A brilliant little farm. You can buy two kinds of good to feed all the animals (except the pigs) and there's great food in the cafe to feed yourself, too.
K. H.
Sweet little farm with cute cafe and friendly staff. Only complaint is that service was very slow. Only one man serving people on a busy Saturday.
A. I.
Free and decent animals for young children to explore
S. O.
Fairly small but a lot of animals for a city farm

(Translated) Who could have imagined a farm in the middle of Stepney Green? The place is an NGO and it works with an orchard, barn, floriculture, vegetable garden, nurseries for pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens and donkeys, excellent place to walk with the family and also has places to wash hands, good bathrooms and a bar-cafe with fair prices. I will always come back

Voltarei sempre 😁
