Found this by mistake, but what a find, a lovely place to chill and have a coffee and cake/sarnies, Paola is a very friendly and helpful Italian young lady who was serving, it was raining so stopped off to keep dry and had a coffee and a looong chat! 😎 will definitely be stopping off there again, preferably when its not raining!

Beautiful location, and the coffee is good, although it comes in a plastic-coated paper cup so being your own cup of you can.

A nice little cafe with a good amount of seating. The perfect day to grab a hot drink when it is chilly and a cold drink when it is warm.

(Translated) Beautiful Victorian-style memorial.
The four statues at the ends of the monument represent four continents (America, Europe, Africa and Asia). "But Rafa, what about Oceania?"
Well ... Albert created the Great Exhibition of 1851, which was a fair to show the advancement of science, mathematics, arts, etc. Except that Australia did not put anything in the exhibition, so it was cut from the memorial, simple to solve ... Even in the golden statue of Albert he is holding the catalog of the Great Exhibition.
In the part of the memorial there are several statues of historical figures such as architects, painters, musicians, writers and sculptors.
Kensington Gardens organizes monthly tours, every first Sunday of the month, to learn more about and actually enter the memorial. More info on their website.

Lindo memorial em estilo vitoriano.
As quatro estátuas nas pontas do monumento representam quatro continentes (América, Europa, África e Ásia). "Mas Rafa, e a Oceania?"
Pois bem...
