Reviews of The Colombian Coffee Company
A.
I love the place!
It is really different from any other specialty coffee house.
The vibe is like they just brought the beans from the farm.
Simple and vintage lovely place with details.
People their have a very nice attitude.
I had a macchiato, I loved it!

I’ve seen quite a few specialty coffee places but this one’s just beyond everything. Amazing. Buy the beans if you have a proper grinder and coffee machine!

My absolute favorite coffee in London! After making it a mission of mine to try as many coffee shops and roasters as possible, this is still my go-to for fresh brewed coffee and a bag of beans to take home. The baristas are the most friendly and knowledgeable of people. They can tell you the exact region of Colombia the coffee comes from and the best way to prepare it. It's all single-origin coffee, directly supporting the farmers in Colombia which makes it an even more special coffee. Caturra Timor is my favorite so if you get a chance, grab yourself a bag (or two - one for a friend)!

The best coffee in London for me. It is so well crafted that you can taste the terroir in the coffee. There are other great coffee shops in London, but this one stands out for its uniqueness. They also help the Colombian coffee farmers through their trade. This is nice of them and in itself a meaningful act. However my praise for their coffee is independent of that! They also have a stall at the nearby Borough Market.

Great coffee, really friendly, helpful barista, highly recommended!

Beautiful concept to help Colombian 🇨🇴 coffee products ☕great aroma everywhere...interesting location as well...lovely friendly and professional service👍

You have to try this place!!!!
They roast the beans in front of you which lets off an amazing smell. The coffee is amazing an the staff friendly.
A must try if you want proper coffee.

Best coffee in London, and that's not exaggerating! There is a good selection of beans to excite your taste buds and keep you coming back, and the exceptional service makes you feel like one of the family. But be warned, you will get addicted (in a good way)!

If you value the quality of your coffee then this is the place to do. They offer a wide variety of different beans and brews and it is all ethically sourced - making it well worth the price.
M. F.
One of the best in London for coffee, they have independently sourced beans, supporting local farmers. Fans of Yellow Cattura rejoice! Amazing cups made in the European or Columbian way. Well worth the extra price compared to any chain. Staff is knowledgeable if you have any coffee related topics in mind.

This place does consistently excellent coffee - some of the best espresso I’ve had in London, much better than some of the similarly priced but somehow more popular coffee places nearby.

I'm an avid coffee drinker dare I say it I'm passionate about coffee and I reckon I know quite a bit... But these guys really really know their stuff! Plus I love this little outfit here they roast their own beans they got all the equipment they can do everything from a ristretto at 30 g to a normal Express at 33 g of extraction... What I really love is these are manual presses that's right folks manual presses no button to do a auto regulated espresso here this is truly a coffee lover's paradise!

Amazing micro espresso bar with products of a tremendous quality directly sourced from independent Colombian coffee producers. Full support 🇨🇴
L. T. T.
their coffees are so special!! love their unique and nuanced flavour profiles.
A. L.
Beautiful, organic and sustainably sourced coffee!!! Choose this over Monmouth or gentlemen’s baristas.

I recently bought some ground coffee at the shop in Borough Market and was so impressed! The taste was amazing and was so happy to see the name and address of the farmer in Colombia! Buying this coffee really makes and impact so decided to get a monthly subscription! Highly recommended!

Meticulously made coffee .What a gem.Highly recommend it if you are passionate about your coffee. Just perfect!
R. K.
A bit chaotic when I visited this morning. I decided to get a mocha because they advertised a cacao-based hot chocolate recipe. But I'm pretty sure what I got had premixed chocolate and creamer in it. It was totally unappetizing.
They did seem to have a good coffee bean selection, so points for that.
N. C.
Had their Barraquito today, it was amazing! It's coffee with condensed milk, amaretto, milk froth, cinnamon and a dash of lemon peel. You need to try or you will never know what you have missed so far.
K. F.
Choose your beans and have them recommend . The coffee is fantastic and they have interesting Colombian methods as well.
And classes!
S. R.
Amazing coffee and super friendly service. A must go while being in London.

Excellent coffee and hot chocolate, would suggest going here rather than their Borough Market stall. The quality is mostly consistent but sometimes can differ depending on the barista. Look out for the tall black female barista (think her name might be Lupania ) who makes exceptional hot chocolate as well as great coffee. The young male barista with the dreadlocks also makes very good coffees and hot chocolates.

I first encountered Eduardo selling this coffee at a little pop-up market in Rotherhithe, six or seven years ago.
I only drink coffee black and without sugar, so the variation between different beans and roasts really stands out. I could tell straight away that this coffee was special, and when I got a home portafilter machine I started ordering the beans for home delivery.
I've sampled beans from a lot of the "gourmet" coffee outlets across London, but I can honestly say that I have never found anything which tops the very best of what the Colombian Coffee co. can offer (which for me, is either Gesha or Marogogipe - although all their beans are delicious).
For that reason, I wouldn't hesitate to say that this is the best coffee in London - and probably in the whole of the UK. The company is also highly ethical, going far beyond just "fair trade". Have a look at their website for more details of this.

Always a wonderful cup of ethically sourced coffee from the CCC. So nice to see beans being roasted and to hear about the roasting process of the varieties of coffee. 100% recommend!!!
L.
One of the best coffees I’ve had in a very, very long time. Very unique coffee shop and cannot recommend more highly to true coffee lovers.
M. V.
Make sure you take your time at this shop, because they will treat you one of the best coffee experiences you ever had. Be prepared to answer many questions before you can place your order -- but it's all worth it.
F. C.
The coffee is absolutely fabulous, wether you buy one they make for you in store, or you use the beans at home. My go-to guys in London (or by post) for coffee. Really nice people to deal with too (they recently help trace my order when I gave an incorrect postcode!)
b. v.
Unique experience with people roasting in the shop, from the outside the smell of coffee calls you in, once in the "welcome to Colombia" greeting gives the atmosphere and you end up staying 15mn for a personal explanation of your coffee cup and its origin, really appreciated it all ! thanks !
strongly recommend!
T. H.
I sent a gift from the Colombian Coffee Company and it has been so gratefully received. Wonderful coffee, great service. Thank you so much. Highly recommend and will definitely use again and again.
G. P.
Lovely spot, wonderful staff, all passionate and friendly. Super cosy and bright at the same time, plus fantastic values - love it!
A. L.
Well roasted, fresh, delicious coffee. It is great to support a business like this, going beyond fair-trade, and to get a high quality tasty product at the same time. Delivered on just on time, which is also great! Totally recommend them
N. H.
I have ordered a lot of coffee from the Colombian Coffee company and I must say it is some of the best coffee I have tasted . The quality is excellent but more importantly it is very consistent between batches. I would highly recommend Borbon & Typica but any of the other varieties will be just as good.
F. M.
Very friendly roastery. Amazing coffee as well. It's a bit off the path but there are a few nice bar and shops nearby just off the main road. They also got stall just by the borough market glass entrance.
S. P.
Drank coffee at the market stall some weeks ago and loved it. Bought the Castillo while there and then ordered more online. Delightful coffee! I’ll be back ordering more online if you are still in operation. If not, see you on the other side and good luck!
O. D.
Great place for coffee
Ł. P.
So much passion, so much love and care. Outstanding experience. Hands down, best coffee I ever had in the City. The lady that prepares it clearly knows what she is doing. Each espresso is simply a perfection. Very knowledgeable staff will tell you everything about every kind of coffee beans they've got on offer. Found the place by coincidence when having an afternoon stroll. Came back many times since then. A MUST!
C. B.
Excellent cups of coffee prepared in both European and traditional Colombian styles. Knowledgeable, friendly staff with a passion for coffee without the pretense. Highly recommended.
S. G. A.
I'm a fan of the hugely underrated pour over method of preparing coffee. Yellow caturra from CCC is perfect if like me you want a light roast which allows you to taste coffee rather than burnt stuff.
B. H.
Good coffee. Knowledgeable staff. Great place for the cafe affecionados.
A. K.
These guys have by far the best coffee I have ever tried! Honestly I drink a lot of coffee and travel a lot and these guys managed to bring the best Columbian coffee to the heart of London! The service is usually slow but it’s worth the wait! 🥰🤩
T. R.
Seriously impressive coffee from people who clearly love their craft.
M. S.
Outstanding coffee and really friendly staff who are clearly very passionate about their products and take their time to explain the flavour profiles and different techniques used. They roast the beans onsite so you can watch it being prepared. It tastes much more authentic than other coffee shops that claim to use single source beans.
J. O.
Well coffee is just delicious. Barista was very friendly and told us a lot about the coffee they offer. It was a great experience.
A. A.
Very hipster, giving off the vibe of somewhat obscure coffee for aficionados only! The vegan brownie was quite average.
V. K.
Miu bien! Very very good coffee indeed. The owner is a really pleasant man, willing to tell you about the Colombia and truly passionate about coffee. The coffee is super strong and delicious. We definitely will visit this page again
C. M.
