S. N.Was pleased to find really good coffee in the area! It isn't easy to make good non-dairy based lattes (soy, almond or coconut milk) but they did a great job. Extra points for the yummy vegan food and cosy ambiance!
L. M.My favourite cafe in Catford. Brilliant coffee - they certainly know their stuff. Excellent quality cakes, including an amazing pistachio & lemon cake and pastel de nata. Haven’t tried their sourdough toasties, but they look great. Such friendly and welcoming staff - it’s always a pleasure to visit this small but perfect cafe. I just hope they open another, larger venue in Catford at some point.

G. M.What a fantastic cafe. They have so much on offer but it's very easy to understand. The coffee is delicious. We have the croissant with cheese and ham (the best I have ever had .... Ever) the tomato and courgette roll and an almond croissant. All perfect and the service was delightful. The staff are so friendly and fun. Can't wait to go back .

The best espresso I've had. The flat white does all the things you want it to do. The filter is always interesting and has great aromatics. Worth buying a bag of beans on the visit too.

S. W.This place has easily become the only place in Catford for truly decent coffee. We have lived in the area for years and very glad when this place opened. Everyone working here is friendly, there is a good range of food, both savoury and sweet but you do usually have to be here earlier in the day for all the options as they go quick.
Really good range of coffee options for all tastes, along with the usual non-coffee options and a good range of cold drinks including cold coffee in summer. You can tell that all the staff are coffee lovers themselves and always willing to make recommendations on what beans to go for to match the style of coffee that you like to drink at home as well.
The location is super convenient being right near the train station and not too far from Catford Centre. While the sit in options are a bit limited (its not a big space), as others have mentioned there are plenty of plugs for laptops etc and some cool art on the walls. An easy way to kill an hour or two (of course just not at the moment, with the pandemic and all)
Highly recommend if you live locally or just happen to be in the local area looking for coffee, much better than the alternative options

M. B.I'm unsure why other customers think the prices are fair - I work in central London and all 3 specialty coffee shops around my office are cheaper than this one.
However, the baked goods are fantastically good and reasonably priced! We come here sometimes at weekends for a treat more than for the coffee.

O. M.Coffee place in Catford ...which is pretty big as there isn't much going on and not for a while. So this Espresso Cartel is a welcomed addition to Lewisham's growing coffee scene. It's a quaint little shop with space for sitting and relaxing. There are also plugs around for charging devices. There is also a small 'bar' area near the window if you wanted to people watch.
It's just around the corner from catford bridge station so a short walk from the hospital and worth the trip. Coffee is from workspace and is expertly crafted. They have just started to do filter and give you a sip of their product for free - guest roasts. They also do nice chocolate and there is also decent tea options.
The pasteries/cakes are nice too - I would try out the cinnamon rolls or a toasted banana bread. Delish!!! 😋 Also lovely sandwiches!!
They also do a free coffee scheme after 8 coffees. Nice!!

Sehr schöner, kleiner Laden. Eine schöne Oase in sonst eher grauer Umgebung. Sehr nettes und kompetentes Personal! Super Kaffee! Der Flat white war hervorragend. Sowohl geschmacklich, als auch optisch.
Dazu noch verschiedene herzhafte und süße Snacks.
Auf jeden Fall sehr zu empfehlen.
