Great little cafe. You can get basic lunch and decent coffees here. They also have a range of ice creams. There is loads of seating outside and some inside. It’s super useful for snacks, lunch or coffee when walking in the common. There are also toilets which is also a lifesaver on occasion. It can get busy which puts some strain on the service but it must be difficult as when it’s hot it can be incredibly busy. Recommended

Stopped in for a quick drink to warm us up on a cold walk - really warm welcome from the staff, beautiful and tasty cakes too! Good choice of teas and coffee, and hot food - as well as a good range of ice cream too. This is a good spot for a pit stop on the Capital Ring if you're walking this segment.

Always happy to stop by this cafe when going for a walk in the park. Lovely people, the atmosphere remained the same despite the change in management. It’s still a family owned business. The prices are competitive and their English breakfast very good.

I always stop by this cafe half way through a brisk walk along the 'joggers' path on the Common. A cafe with its constant stream of park users and their families sitting in the outdoor seating area throughout the year. Excellent decor and a well earned stop for some hot beverage and a cake. The menu has a nice selection of hot food, sandwiches, paninis and desserts.

Nice location and the cakes and coffee are ok. Not friendly though & the tables outside aren't comfortable or clean, so I've started taking a flask with me when I walk on the common. It's a shame as I love a cafe with a view.

Now in its 121st year hosted the Café is situated in a historic Victorian building in this urban oasis, Since its take over by San Remo catering the service and offering has massively improved, very friendly and aminable staff.

Coffee was very bad - no body to it and extremely weak, almost watery. Maybe it was a fluke looking at other reviews. The plus is how nice and polite people working there are. My friend had ice-cream and she liked it.

Great little cafe, I've only had their breakfast rolls but they offer a good selection of other meals too. Only recommendation is that it would be nice to see them offering some pastries, like sausage rolls etc, as it's easier to walk and eat with them!

Nice location. Friendly staff doing their best in difficult circumstances. Not the most diverse clientele but I wasn't there long. Seems to be a rendezvous point for dog owners so be prepared for a lot of noise and canine activity whilst sitting outside. Could do with a few more bike stands outside but I guess this is the council's responsibility not TBCC's.

Our first treat for some time due to lockdown, spur of the moment ice cream trip after visiting the common. All socially distanced at the cafe, friendly service and delicious ice cream. We went first thing in the morning on a scorching day and it wasn't busy at that point. Will definitely be returning:-)

This is a real favourite of myself and my son who no longer lives in London but when he is visiting, always takes a walk to Tooting Common with a vist to the cafe. Very nice staff , great food hot and cold with a nice coffee . Today though , we had ice cream which was so tasty , very enjoyable as we sat outside relaxing .

As others have mentioned, the service is really slow and they do not bother to pick up speed even when you can see it is getting busy. I could see the kitchen staff going out to the till looking for orders to cook, but because the staff at the till are so slow they haven't even got to the stage of taking people's orders. They also tend to over complicate things and you can see other customers losing the will to live as well. Overall they took 30 mins to take my order of 2 coffees and a bacon bap - unacceptable! When you finally get your food and drink it's actually quite nice which is why I rated this place 3 stars.

Lots of outside space, under the trees, with a commanding view of the main avenue which had its majestic Oaks cut down and replaced sadly. The tables directly in front of the low building are in a suntrap, beautiful and peaceful. The cafe is very. Nice and clean, recently refurbished with all the usual suspects. Good choice of teas, espresso machine at the ready.

In common with most cafes without competition or large mortgages the hunger to provide a good service is not always there and this cafe is a bit hit and miss. As a lifestyle business one has to fit ones plan around the owner and staff, but the food is fine, and ice cream a welcome bribe for the kids. One likes the setting and lack of competition but the they actually could do with some.

Lovely café on the common serving drinks, snacks, cooked breakfast, and ice-cream. Hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows is a favourite, as is the ice-cream! Also sells small bags of bird seed and cooked sausages (for dogs). Some seating inside and plenty outside (some under cover). Toilet.

I love the veggie breakfast, which can include a milky coffee if that's what you like. Always busy, a sign of local people's appreciation. Yet the service is relatively snappy.

This is a great little Cafe, it is open all the year round, it sells all the different types of food you would expect in a Cafe on a Common, I like their hot chocolate on a winters day, take it over to the lake, sit on a bench and watch the Ducks, Swans, Terrapins etc. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is, it's a bit pricey!
