I've been here once before and the food was good as was the coffee and smoothie. This time I ordered a delivery - part of the order was wrong and the eggs benedict was pretty much inedible (cold, hollandaise just a watery liquid, eggs undercooked). Not sure what went wrong this time. I'd rate this order one but giving three stars on past performance.

Great coffee, great burger!! Very tasty food and quick, friendly service. I had the veggie burger and it was delicious. The friend I was with had the chicken katsu Benedict, then looked and smelled delicious! I also had the sunset smoothie, which was a great consistency and very tasty.

This place is so good, first time I been here and the food is delicious, staff are friendly. Very spacious and outdoor seating area. I recommend the french toast, so tasty and looks amazing. Great coffee and cake selection too!

The Allpress coffee blend is heavenly, took my moka to a whole, new level! If you prefer to start your morning off on a cup of bitter char, then DON’T try this coffee. Guaranteed flavour, full of notes of chocolate and caramel, and a pleasant acidity! Will only buy my coffee supply here now (plus, that’s always an excuse to come and taste their espresso, which is even more heavenly, but eventually I’ll get to that level when I’ll invest into a proper espresso machine). Tried the wraps too, the veggie one with the feta cheese is bomb!! Can’t speak much for the sweet stuff, as I’m not that much of a pastry/sweets person.

Nice atmosphere cafe and friendly staff. However the food hasn’t been impressive everytime when I visited. I was attracted by their Instagram photos and ordered my breakfast accordingly so I knew what to expect but it turned out quite disappointing again, as you can compare the photos attached. The scramble eggs were so oily that I could only had one bite just for the sake of it. A few weeks ago, I had an ice matcha latte take away but it’s luke warm and tasted of turmeric. I looked at the bottom and there’s actually a spoonful of turmeric in it and I just had to get rid of the drink. I have never wasted as much food/drink with a place before. The 3 stars goes to “support the local” gesture and the nice ambience of the cafe.

Nice food, staff are good too, but the cafe itself is uncomfortably cold. I don't know if the heating's broken or what but you'll need to bring a coat and scarf to sit indoors.

It was quite a hot day and I was surprised to see a cafe/juice bar opened considering everything going on.. So we gave it a try and were pleased. Love the decor and plan to stop by again!

Love this friendly local cafe. Extensive menu and the coffee is always good and served with a smile which makes all the difference. The turmeric lattes are also very nice if that's your sort of thing.

Three stars is just for the service, everyone from the staff was very attentive and efficient. The coffee and smoothie order came pretty quickly and both of the beverages were really good. Food wise though they left a lot to be desired. Eggs royale with a thin almost non existent hollandaise sauce and none of the poached eggs had a runny yolk. From the 2 things they had to cook for that dish they failed on both. My girlfriend seemed to be happy with her vegetarian full English. It's a cool neighborhood place with a good concept and quality ingredients but they are being let down by their cooking and pricing. I would expect for them to be able to cook an egg for 30 quid worth of breakfast.

Coffee was out of this world! Best coffee I've has since I lived in Melbourne, Australia. Would definitely return for a coffee. Food was a major let down. I've followed the Instagram for ages and unfortunately it's a classic case of Instagram Vs reality. Pancakes were really tough and chewy, despite being called "fluffy" in the description. Scrambled eggs were possibly a crime against food and definitely chickens! Oily, semi grey in colour and rubbery. Would not return for food. Staff were lovely and coffee was quick!

One of the best places for food in New Cross, and good value too - especially the sandwiches and wraps. I would, and regularly do recommend Wakey Wakey to anybody visiting!

Good food. Good portion size. Lots of avocado on things. Expect to pay around £10 rather than £5 for your breakfast, as you do in any gentrification type cafe. Nice friendly waiting staff. The katsu chicken benedict was a nice change for breakfast.

Waley wakey has a really nice aesthetic and the staff are lovely. It's dog friendly too. The food is good but sometimes not great at times. Vegan breakfast needs a bit more grease, that's the point of a fry up-it was too healthy 🤣 the wraps are great and good coffee and cake selection too. my fiancé had the pesto chicken burger and said it was banging but the chips weren't great.

Nice location and décor, small outside garden. Coffee is okay as is the Chai Latte, however the French Toast was not great. The description of the food items on the menu are not extensive and not particularly accurate. A nice cafe overall - much needed since the closure of Out of the Brew! Overall a very Goldsmiths focused cafe - sure to be a hit with students and staff alike!

I have been bored of Costa and Starbucks for a while so I have been looking for alternatives that are more genuine and not made from the same beans. I tried Wakey out and I have to say I was impressed. The coffee was authentic. The food was different and not your typical sandwiches either. Its nice to have something different.

Nice bright interior and busy with students. Staff are attentive although a bit annoying when they start cleaning cutlery next to you as it’s quite loud. Coffee is good but food is only ok - I’ve had the cooked breakfast twice and the sausages aren’t very meaty and on one occasion my toast wasn’t toasted. So four stars and I will revisit.

Great prices for sanwhiches/wraps (£5). Healthy options that are also vegan. And tastes good. The only matcha latte and beetroot lattes in town. The only issue is its always crowded because its good so not always ideal to study.

Discovered this little gem of NCG recently and does not disappoint. Portions are generally good but the chips are on a whole different level 👌🏼 juices are delicious and a generous serve. Only thing that slightly lets it down is schniedy ketchup (Heinz ketchup in cafes should be law). Can’t wait to go back and try the pancakes!

Just check your food before take away. Falafel was burned... seen at home, otherwise would ask my money back and let the cook to eat his wrap... You are busy, I know but if you see you burn something, apologise and make another... won't ever buy your food.
