Reviews of Wood St Coffee
T. S.
Been coming here recently with big coffee orders and everyone is so thorough and fast!! They always double check everything and make it so quick. Lovely friendly service and great atmosphere, nice pastries too. Always clean and the coffee tastes great - wouldn’t go anywhere else :)
H.
Love this place. Menu changes daily, always lots of delicious options. Very casual, low key and friendly vibe

Every time I brunch in this coffee shop I leave thinking it's even better than I remembered.
It's not only the minimalistic, clean and clear décor, or the peaceful, friendly atmosphere. The food is truly exquisite.
There's sitting inside and out, and an air of relaxed enjoyment. Customers working on their laptops, visiting with kids of any ages or spending some time with their dogs are all welcome.
The coffee is great and the food options varied and original. And, moreover: absolutely delicious! There's an explosion of flavour at every morsel, a dance of textures and contrasts that really work together. On portions that don't disappoint big hungers.
I absolutely love every bit of it. Even more than I already did after seeing they also sell Tony's chocolonely :)
B. Ö.
Great coffee, BLT sandwich with fried egg was delicious.

Wood St Coffee is certainly worth the walk up from the station nearby. You're welcomed into this bright, open space with friendly staff milling about. The coffee is sensational, as well as the food! It's such a breath of fresh air coming here :)

Loved this place. Great coffee and fab menu. Was Busy on a sunday so had to wait a bit for a table but that was what the croissant was for!
M. L.
Stuff very pleasant, tried their filter coffee. Plenty indoor and outdoor seating. Will have to come back for more coffee.
A. K.
Glad to see shops like this around what used to be a barren industrial estate!
Friendly staff, well made food and a very nice aesthetic to the whole shop. Would highly recommend 🙂
It's down an alley between the row of houses, make sure not to miss it!
N. M.
Lovely little coffee shop - great coffee and the food is fab
A. J.
Seats a little uncomfortable. Not really sure how to order or where to sit if it's your first time but staff are friendly and attentive. Would like to see some more vegi options if possible.👍
p. s.
Great coffee and youbreally nerd to try their BLT it's amazing.
G. P.
Very nice sandwiches (miso mayo may have been a bit too salty and would have been better if the bread was slightly toasted) and coffee
C. W.
Coffee is amazing, as was the food. We got the pork belly benedict and it was delicious! Staff are super lovely, can’t recommend more for brunch!
O. K.
Friendly staff. Tasty coffee. Sandwich was huge! You can sit outside and its reasonably quiet too. Bit on the pricey side but lovely nonetheless.
S. C.
A lovely open, light, clean cafe with lots of outdoor seating and a first rate mocha. A bit difficult to find though, make sure you turn down the footpath for the Blackhorse Workshop. Just to make sure you're doing East London correctly, get the delicious and reasonably priced smashed avocado on toast.
C. R.
Great coffee and high quality food. Will be returning for sure
S. G.
What a gem! Loved the coffee and food.
Staff were all really friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Beautiful coffee and amazing breakfast. Great stop on our way from Hastings to London.
B. S.
Our favourite dog friendly cafe in Walthamstow for brunch. French toast is amazing.

C. F.
Amazing coffee and service, plus the location is really cute next to a workshop.
L. C.
The sandwiches was nice, but the coffee is not hot enough
E. B.
The coffee and food is amazing! So lucky to live near.
P. H.
The owners used to have a coffee machine on Orford Rd. Difficult to believe now but, back then, there wasn’t the foot fall (or the hipsters) so they moved to BHR.
The now established café is ace. Coffee is the star. They roast, grind, sell all manner of drinks as well as sell retail beans to businesses and consumers. The sandwiches and take away meals are also ace. The doughnuts on a weekend (Jonuts) were amazing, sadly these aren’t available any more.
WSC were pioneers back then. And since they moved to the area they have been at the forefront of changing what was a light industrial back water into a brilliant, foody, creative destination!
M. M.
Best coffee in Walthamstow with delicious well priced food in a great space.
A. S.
Great food and coffee. Pet friendly! Love taking the puppies for breakfast visits.
R. H.
Very nice BLT sandwich, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere is very laid back. Will definitely return!

Amazing place! Great food and coffee, pleasant people and chill athmosphere. It's a nice hidden surprise in the Walthamstow area! Definitely a come back!
J. K.
Excellent coffee, even better brunch. Wood St Coffee is one of my go-tos for delicious brunch on the weekends. From their banana and pecan French toast to the specials (like the corn fritters), it's stuff you might not necessarily whip up at home and something that's always worth getting out of bed for.
T. S.
Excellent coffee, brilliant food. Super friendly staff. Can't wish for anything more!
J. F. P.
Great coffee, lovely food including for takeaway. Also sells a small selection of kitchen essentials since coronavirus. Pleasant atmosphere, outdoor seating and very on it with social distancing.
C. B.
Very friendly and welcoming local cafe. Great food and coffee. The colour of the poached eggs was incredible. You can tell there is a lot of care and thoughtfulness has gone into the design and experience
J. T.
My go-to for brunch and coffee in Walthamstow - it never disappoints. Lovely vibe and staff; even better food. Wish it was closer to me, but am willing to travel for the delicious bites!
S. G.
I cannot fault this place. First time visiting today. Not easy to find if you don’t know the area but plenty of free parking near by. Had to have the pork belly benny, miso hollandaise so tasty! Great coffee of course. My personal preference would be not to eat in same room as dogs, but at least they were well behaved.
Z. S.
Fantastic coffee, have had a coffee subscription for the best part of year now and after trying lots of different coffee from independent shops, Wood Street was #1.
G. Y.
Great vibe and amazing coffee!!
P. S.
Best breakfast and coffee in Walthamstow. We've never been let down by these guys. The pork belly benedict with miso hollandaise is outrageous and the coffee is always bang on. They sell Oatly oat milk and Tony's Chocolonely in the cafe too which is a big win. Can't fault Wood Street Coffee!
J. H.
Excellent coffee and tremendous banana bread. A little on the pricey side but when its that tasty its ok.
M. K.
Delicious brownie and great coffee. Certainly will come back to try a brunch
R. V.
Gareth, I really appreciate your help for sorting this out.
K. L.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and laid back appearance of this place. On top of that the food was deliciously prepared and they had clearly paid great attention to detail. A five star coffee shop!
G. W.
The José Hernán Quintero from Colombia is one of my favourite coffees of this year, an extremely rewarding cup exploding with flavour. Great spot for well priced tasty grub and delicious coffee.
R. C.

C. C.
Lovely staff and great food and coffee. Indoor and outdoor. Added bonus of busy workshop behind so you can even get s piece of locally made furniture.
A. L.
Really tasty food and coffee. The chap behind the counter was super chatty and informative about the different coffee that they do without making me feel stupid. Very friendly atmosphere too.
J. S.
Great coffee and avocado on sourdough if that's your thing 👍 quite little place but nice atmosphere and friendly. Would be nice to have chairs rather than stools to sit on.
M. M.
Loved it. Warm and friendly staff. Nice vibe. Food is very fresh and tasty. Short on seating so if its a nice day get there early as there are likely to be queues.
H. M.
Nice coffee place, the building is nice and good if you want to get some work done. This cafe is situated in the Blackhorse Workshop, also something to get involved in. Definitely recommend!!!
K. T.
Super delicious food and great coffee.
Cool location too.
D.
Uh oh! Scrum-alert!! Consistently fabaroo cup-of-chinos. I've only found one or two other indie cafes in London that match Wood St's coffee (no wonder it was sainted!). Would recommend the toasties too #2die4. #callmetheterminatorbecauseillbeback
t.
Love the atmosphere of this cafe! It's a bit pricey for me that decaf latte is now £3.. However the best coffee in Walthamstow!
D. R.
Looks inconspicuous as a traders forecourt, but the chitter chatter and chinks of cutlery on crockery let you know you are in the right place.
Sharing benches outside in the sunshine and small tables inside make this a cosy place.
A select range of food items but something for everyone.
Come visit and support your local café.
A. D.
Very nice food. Freshly made in a quirky looking place. Well done to the owner and staff. Child and dog friendly too.
T. K.
Incredible weekend French toast. Very bitter coffee and not enough food choice during the week. Laptop and dog friendly.
L. H.
Food and coffee are always good, you can see how good it is by how busy it always is
a. d.
Consistently banging out the best coffee locally! Delicious food to match. Smashed avocado on toast, and baked treats an added bonus. Reid
T. G.
Awesome new extension with outdoor seating. Very good expanded menu and still the best coffee in Walthamstow if not London.

M.
Nice place good coffee
B. C.
Turned up on a Saturday an hour before the closing time to find chairs and stools all up on tables and we were given our drinks in paper cups. Disappointing to walk up from Blackhorse Rd to a venue not really bothered about its customers, with staff more interested in clearing up to get home.
The flat white was ok, the hot chocolate fine, and the space is green and airy.
Recommended if you are at Blackhorse Workshop but not worth visiting otherwise.
