Once again the staff here were as fantastic as ever. Friendly, helpful and respectful. Ordered my usual chai latte in my reusable cup and a hot chocolate for my eldest. They made the hot chocolate a bit cooler than normal with my eldest being only 6. It was quiet inside and felt peaceful after a day out felling like we'd rushed around getting buses here, there and everywhere 😆 Unfortunately we didn't have time to sit and relax for a bit even though the eldest wanted to. Will definitely come to this little haven again soon and just sit, relax and maybe people watch next time 😊

Great little shop, Gareth is the number one barista probably in the North East and is always so happy and fun to be served by. I'm surprised he is not area manager tbh. 👍

Very friendly staff! The place is only small but it's got a lot of character. It's got a toilet at the back and a selection of papers. They offer a staff discount for Newcastle and Northumbria University so make sure you take advantage!

By far my favourite Nero in Newcastle; this coffee shop has some of the friendliest staff of the chain and has an excellent layout with seating areas tucked away to jide in for hours. A relaxed atmosphere with many regulars; free WiFi, air conditioning (although it can get a little warm), good music and toilets all help to make this a good spot at the top of Northumberland street. The food and drinks are of the standard Nero quality (good) and served with a smile.

The five stars are for the staff who were working at lunchtime on Wednesday 25th Sept, my mother was having a medical emergency close by, I entered to appeal for use of the bathroom for privacy as I called an ambulance, the staff assisted throughout, one waited outside in the rain for the emergency services while others offered support and reassurance making the ordeal, which lasted half an hour, more bearable, my mother is home safe and sound today, and I'd just like to thank your great staff, they really built up my faith in humanity.
