Very good cafe with many sweet and coffee options. I got the red velvet cake and a cappuccino. Both were really delicious. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is calm and quiet. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love cake stories - it’s the perfect place for a catch-up with friends. They do a wide range of delicious cake, the interior is so cute and cosy and the location is easily accessible from the metro.

Without question- the happiest £20 I’ve spent in a long time! I Received a beautifully presented Brownie ‘letterbox’ - in perfect condition, but more importantly- my taste buds sang with each bite! Delicious- Perfect. A newly diagnosed ‘coeliac’ - cake stories were recommended to me by a friend.

Absolutely amazing cake!! Been meaning to visit for a while. Called past today as an early birthday treat. The lady who was working was not phased by the fact that we all took a few minutes to choose....especially my boys! Other customers were also very patient! Great selection of cakes. We all chose differently and sneaked a taste of each others, all were really very tasty. We'll definitely be visiting again!

I have purchased Brownie boxes from Cake Stories that were absolutely delicious so decided to vist the cafe. I was not disappointed. I had a lovely latte and a Scone. It came warm with a big chunk of butter wrapped in greasproof paper, strawberry jam and peanut butter. It tasted amazing . My Daughter had a Biscoff Brownie which she said was perfect. We will definitely visit again.

Been coming here a fair few years. Used to co-manage the restaurant next door so was gutted when Nipoti closed down as they were my local caffeine fix. So was greatful another coffee shop opened up. These guys do amazing cakes. The coffees are as good if not better than your commercial coffee shops. They do vegan cakes too which is a bonus for those with that dietary requirements. Hard to say which one is my favourite cake as they’re all bloody good. Only downside is the seating, it’s quite small hence can be quite crammed and not as private that’s the only reason I don’t go as much but on a quite time this place is a steal.

Excellent quality, super tasty cappuccino with cream and perfects sweets... The only two concerns are that sometime is a bit crowded and people is just working with their laptops.. The other thing that could be improved is the availability of just plain all butter scones. But in average it is a awesome place for a brunch

Exactly the cafe you want. Lots to choose from and some engaging chat from staff to help you nail that decision. Lovely atmosphere, makes you want to linger and stare at the big skies from the window. Had a lemon curd cake thing and then went back for a teacake due to the deliciousness of it. As good as childhood memory of cake. Gorgeous sharp and creamy flat white. There's options for proper feeding too. I could move in.

I really think Cake Stories is probably the best coffee house in the city and as I'm Italian I can say I tried several coffee in New Castle but they bake the best one. The staff, the place, the coffee... all is great in this cakery! What to say about the scones?!!! THE SCONES, they are the better ones I ever tasted! I really loved the Avocado on toast too. I love so much this place that, after I discovered it, every time I go to New Castle (at least once a year) I search for an accommodation in the surrounding of Cake Stories to have breakfast there every morning!

My husband and I have just been for a walk in Jesmond and called in to Cake Stories for a light lunch. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere and the cakes looked fabulous. We had a cheese scone and a date and apricot slice and they were absolutely delicious.!!!! This is definitely a place which we will be visiting again and we can't wait to sample more of their delicious cakes!!
