I took my partner here and we had a brilliant time! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They gave us all the information we needed and made us all feel included with getting to pet the lovely dogs in the cafe. The food was great too and reasonably priced in my opinion. The booking process was simple and quick to do online. Highly recommend!

We had the loveliest time at Dog and Scone. It's a lovely relaxed environment for the dogs, and the staff are incredible. They are really aware of the dogs' needs whilst also making sure every guest gets some quality dog cuddles. We had toasties and drinks which were lovely, and really added to the experience. We will definitely be back again one day.

Lovely dog cafe, and plenty of different, super-cute dog breeds to suit everyone's taste. Sugar the mini pomeranian and the short-haired dachshund were our favourite. They were all very friendly, super excitable and playful as we booked at 11am, which we were informed that's when they're most excited. The staff were very polite and accommodating too. It was a shame there weren't enough puffies or low seats for everyone to sit and stroke the dogs. We were also given treats to feed the dogs, which was nice and helped interact with them. Had a cappuccino, lemon muffin and lemon ice tea, they were nice. It's well worth a visit, but bare in mind if you plan to visit, you'll have to be able to sit down in order to interact with the dogs 100%, as it's not guaranteed they'll want to sit on your lap. Also, I would recommend the staff don't interact with the dogs too much, as the dogs then don't bother interacting with customers.

I always have the most amazing time. It's a very relaxing atmosphere, the dogs are well looked after and the staff are great. I have become a regular customer going once a week for 2 hours at a time, and it's honestly done wonders for my mental health. Entry is £6 and you need to book in advance online & pay a £2 deposit. Once in the cafe, you're required to take off your shoes before entering the fenced area of the main cafe. They have slippers available for those that wish to use them, but it'sbest to just have some socks imo. Once those booked in for that slot are seated, the dogs are let out to run around & inspect the new customers. Blankets are used to wrap the dogs before they're placed on customers' laps. The blankets help them feel more comfortable due to the familiar smells on them. If a dog doesn't want to sit on a lap, they will just wriggle out & jump down. If the dogs are in a playful mood, then customers are encouraged to sit on the floor & play with them. They're very well cared for, and if one of them is upset/in distress, then they're removed for the rest of that day. Accessibility isn't something I require, so I don't know a lot about it, but I have been in the same slot as a wheelchair user. I think if you just let them know when you book if you have any requirements, they will do their best to help.

All in all, a lovely visit. Prices are more than fair, 4 Pound for an hour booked table. Able to order food and drink too for a good price. Companionship was lovely. At a 4pm slot the dogs were already quite tired of the day, the two wonderful staff members tried to engage with the dogs as much as they could to create some activity with the sleepy pooches. But honestly, there was nothing wrong with just having the resting dogs either next to us or on our laps for a calming time. I myself have lost my own dog at the beginning of the year of 2022 and not just coming face to face, but also holding one, was tough at first. Yet all of the dogs were so friendly and charming, they managed to open my heart again. Thank you team & puppies <3

Dogs were very cute and the atmosphere was nice. The hot chocolate was nice too. It was a pity the dogs weren't in a more affectionate mood on this visit so we just sat on the floor and watched.

Went straight to Dog and Scone after arriving in Newcastle and it was such an enjoyable experience. There are many dogs who love to spend time with visitors and enjoy cuddles, the coffee was also great and the staff were really friendly and engaging. 100% worth the money.

Our family love this place. The small dogs are delightful and it is a pleasure to cuddle and play with them. A great environment to enjoy a drink and snack. Booking is essential as only a dozen visitors allowed at a time. You have just under an hour. Small children are not allowed however - there is an age/height limit.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon and it was THE most relaxing and wholesome experience ever. The two lasses working were incredibly friendly and attentive. You get given a pup and then after about 15 minutes of cuddling them the staff swap them round so you get to hold all of them. Peach was my favourite (the little sausage dog). You do have to take your shoes off so remember to wear socks! 10/10 recommend for a date, to catch up with a friend or if youre just in need of a little boost of happiness. Definitely my new fave cafe in Newcastle and will be going again soon!

we have been here twice now and both times its been lovely! delicious food and drinks. i only knocked off a star because one of the staff members was a little bit rude and told people to hurry up paying and expected people to know how the place worked. the first time a lady ran the session better (explaining rules and talking to people) and allowed everyone to get a bit of attention from the dogs. but it did seem like the dogs didn’t want to be touched. also the entry fee has increased by £2 with no drink included, which i understand but seems a little steep considering it’s quite often fully booked. i absolutely love the place and concept, just feel like it could be run a bit better for the dogs sake’s.

Took my 11 year old (passport ID required) and we absolutely loved it! The dogs were mostly very chilled and it was a really relaxed and positive way to spend an hour. Staff were lovely too. Would definitely go again!

Absolutely lovely place.. The dogs are just the cutest and well looked after. The hot chocolate was lovely as well as the caramel shortbread. Good price aswell. You can sit on the floor and play with the doggies who I have to say again are the cutest and so adorable. would highly recommend.. its somewhere you can go every week even if its just to see the doggies as I don't own a doggy myself so this is just heaven for me..

It was ok, expensive for drinks and food when you already paid to visit but ok if you like dogs. It was very clean and the dogs where friendly but floppy. I think early in the day would be better as by 4pm in the after the dogs where clearly ready to clock off for the day. Woof!

Lovely place with cute little dogs. Went for my son's birthday and he got to cuddle laughing the pug first and he was over the moon. The hour was long enough to cuddle or interact with all the dogs. The staff made sure the dogs got passed around. We had a scone and muffin and these were nice. The price is very good and well worth the money.

Sessions are only an hour long, but the dogs are all tiny and adorable and most are incredibly cuddly and/or playful. I am telling everyone to go here. The food was really good, too, which was a surprise, since everyone comes for the doggy cuddles.

I have been to cat cafes before but never a dog cafe. It was so good, cats usually are not interested with people where as the dogs are the opposite and make the perfect choice for cafe companions. The food was good and fair priced as were the drinks! The hour went in no time and we got chance to stroke and play with all of them which made it the perfect trip out 🐶

If you love dogs you will absolutely adore this cafe. The largest dog they have is a corgi, so you can imagine they are all quite small! This makes for perfect company as they can curl up for a nap on your lap. When they aren't asleep they are very lively and playful and the cafe offers a variety of toys to choose from, including a ball pit! You will need to book a reservation in order to get in because this place is very popular but it is definitely worth the wait. They only let a certain amount of people in at a time so you are guaranteed time with every dog! The staff are very friendly and will make you feel welcome; offering a variety of cakes, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks. Dog and Scone also have a joint loyalty card with the popular cat cafe Catpawcino so you gain free entry after 5 visits! This is definitely worth the £5 entry fee and is the perfect way to spend an hour in Newcastle city centre.

I went to this establishment with my university flatmates; there were robust safety restrictions, including social distancing and the use of face masks, in place to ensure both staff and customers were protected. The staff were professional, courteous and very friendly; as were the dogs! The dogs were all very sweet and happy to sit (and fall asleep) on our laps and in our arms. The coffee was good and it was all round a very enjoyable experience.

We have been here quite a few times since it opened. A lovely cafe with a really friendly atmosphere (thanks to the lovely staff). The dogs are the sweetest, friendliest pups and they clearly love their environment. It cost £8 for the two of us (first drink included!) and we left our change as a tip, the staff told us it would go towards the dogs healthcare and grooming which is amazing! 10/10, highly recommend this lovely cafe.

Amazing experience!! The staff were very helpful and approachable; willing to answer any questions regarding the dogs as well as the menu. The food and drinks arrived within an extremely reasonable time and were all delicious and nicely presented. The dogs were very well behaved and friendly, despite them barking and fighting a little bit (which is to be expected, they're dogs in a new environment!). This cafe has only just opened and it is still early days but it's already off to an amazing start! Once everyone settles in it will be perfect. DEFINITELY returning again to see the lovely dogs!

Visited today with my girlfriend and we absolutely loved it! The staff are super friendly as well. Price is a bargain I don't get what people are complaining about, clearly people just like to complain. I'm a huge dog lover myself so those again moaning over the dogs get a grip they're clearly healthy (I read a comment about the pug being so unwell due to interbreeding, how on earth is it dog and scones fault for that?! Plus it's not unhealthy at all) you get to pet each dog as well which is great!! The little toy poodle is so cute!! (Possibly my favourite) I'd recommend this to ANYONE I'll definitely be going back!!

I loved it here. The dogs are adorable, tge staff are polite and friendly and the Red Velvet cake is amazing! Its very well run and it didn't feel rushed at all. You do need to book a bit in advance to get a good day and time but it is well worth planning it.

Spent a lovely hour here with my daughter yesterday. We adores dogs but my daughter is, unfortunately, allergic to animal hair so we can't have a dog of our own. The staff are really friendly ensuring that everyone has equal time with all the adorable puppy dogs. The food and drink is tasty and well presented. We had a hot chocolate and cheese and ham toastie which was delicious. The petting café is such a brilliant idea and wish the Dog and Scone every success for the future. Wonderful place. Lovely friendly staff and the doggies are so friendly too. The place has been set up to reduce risks to the doggies including replacing your shoes with their slippers for the hour visit. The only downside is that the hour goes by so quickly.

If you like dogs you will love it here. The dogs are friendly and gentle, and the staff will even wrap a couple of the smaller ones in a blanket and let you hold them. Absolutely delightful.

I thought this cafe was ideal for dog lovers 🐶the only thing i wasnt keen on was the amount of staff that was in the room with the dogs i thought there was not enough room for all of the staff so i think there should be one in the kitchen and one in the room . I also thought the selection of dogs could have been better for example there was a miniture yourkie that was very scared and shackey and wouldnt let anyone touch it and was scared of everything also there was a corgi wich i thought was too loud and boisterous for the small dogs and didnt want to have a cuddle or anything but the pug and poodles are perfect for the buisness. I also thought the room was too small for the buisness and should be more family orientated also there should be more dogs because one family came in and had a dog each and there wasnt many dogs left for cuddles but all in all the cafe was very clean and well presented and made very nice hot chocolates and iced coffie and had an appropriate price !
