We only stopped for a coffee which we took away and had by the riverside, beautiful. I had a cappuccino which was very good, my good lady had an Americano which she really enjoyed too, high praise in itself, the boy went for a fruit shoot. We also got a caramel slice each which was delicious, we would certainly go back to try some more of the menu. Oh It's dog friendly too 😁🐶

Love going here for coffee and cake then a walk along the river. Also had bacon sandwiches which I can recommend. My favourite is the carrot cake.Lovely cafe serving lovely food. By lovely staff in a lovely setting. Great breakfasts plus bacon sandwiches. And a good range of other savouries and cakes. The coffees and tea are spot on.

The food is great, and in-house baking is done. The all day breakfasts are super. The place also beautifully re-defines the term "dog friendly". It has a really nice atmosphere, and very comfortable facilities. It is also very clean.

Just newly discovered this fabulous cafe on the river Tyne. Great food, very friendly and efficient service and very affordable. The location is very popular with cyclist and walkers (with and without dogs) lovely footpaths and great scenery. The staff welcome dogs and even provide treats for the well behaved ones (dogs not their humans).

Great stop for coffee and cake during our Riverside walk, really good selection of cakes and pastries and good quality coffee. It looks like they're putting a new patio at the front of the shop which will be a great spot with a river view once it's finished.

Just had some lovely coffee and a cream sponge made in heaven. Good outside area and really dog friendly. Will go back each time i have time after a dog walk.

Love this place, super awesome mega bacon sandwich extravaganza! With a cup of tea nothing is finer. Indoors on a gloomy day for a spot of homemade soup or outside in the sun with a butty and a milkshake.

Hedley's is our traditional half-way recharge stop on our Sunday walk loop between the bridges at Wylam and Newburn. Currently only serving from the take-away entrance at the front of the building (following the COVID lockdown) and lacking both the indoor and outdoor seating, which have been cleared away for the time being. There is often seating nearby on the river's edge, so all is not lost (provided our changeable weather behaves itself, of course). The coffee and cake are as good as always though and the staff remain friendly and courteous.

I visited this cafe for my lunch with a friend. The service was excellent and their was a lovely homely atmosphere. I chose the home made soup and it was delicious , scored 11 out of 10. I enjoyed being able to see all the dogs with their owners as I don’t have one of My own.

A fantastic little spot next to the river to grab a coffee or a snack. Coffee isn't my favourite in the area, but the staff are always so amazing especially when they get so busy or have been during lockdown. Food great and dogs welcome.
