B. O.Fantastic hangover curing full breakfast. Great staff who helped me through the menu and my many intolerances/allergies. 10/10 to the lassie on the till working through my hungover Scots as well, she made me feel very welcome. Added bonus of teeny tiny milk bottles with your tea too

A. L.Love this place! The recent refurb is lovely and I’m pleased to say the great atmosphere & the menu hasn’t changed too much. A great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch or even just coffee/tea & cake, with portions for bigger appetites & smaller plates too. Lots of vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options too.
M. T.Lovely friendly service. Food always lovely, good coffee. Usually have breakfast but today just had teacake and coffee. Lovely relaxing place to come both inside or outside tables. Always good.

S. J.This is a lovely little cafe, which I’ve regularly visited since Lockdown 1.0 - they’ve got a great take away service & it all feels very safe inside! Delicious food & a wide range of tasty ‘speciality’ hot drinks, everything from Amaretto Latte to Mint Mocha. Would definitely recommend visiting - ideal place to pick up a coffee & head for a walk in Jesmond Dene.

R.The waitress is super friendly, made me feel at home right away.
I ordered a deluxe hot chocolate with a shot of hazelnut and it was delicious. There were plenty of meal amd drink options, pricing is average for a coffee shop.
The atmosphere was very chilled and there were plenty of different seats to choose from be it a booth/bench, table or barstool.
Definitely will be returning.

N. N.This place has been a godsend for me during the Covid-19 pandemic. I've been shielding so have had to rely on others to collect and bring the food to me.
If you haven't tried this place, I'd thoroughly recommend you do. Especially their breakfast buns and lunchtime wraps, yum yum 😋😋😋

P. G.Very friendly and accommodating staff, managed to seat the 6 of us as walk-ins. I did notice someone had reserved a table, so that might be an idea for next time. Great choice of food, which we all enjoyed, and it arrived together. Dog friendly which could be a bonus for you.
K. M.Outstanding cafe. However cosily small so at lunchtime you might not get a seat. Their coffees are excellent combined with a BLT sandwich with soft granary seeded bun...yummy! And their smoothies are great too and their....you get the idea! Try their specials on the board inside some great options too. Alright enough! :)

O.Breakfast review: I have only been to cafe bar one for breakfast... because I love a good cooked breaky. I am so lucky to live just down the road from this amazing cafe. You will not be disappointed! Fantastic menu with a great selection of all the classics and a few modern twists. Having visited more times than I can count, I can vouch that every item on the breakfast menu is fantastic! The staff in cafe bar one are also lovely - every member of staff is a credit. They will make you feel extremely welcome. Please visit cafe bar one or forever miss out.
I recommend “The works”.... it’s newcastle’s ultimate hang over cure.
A. C.My wife and I popped in here while visiting Newcastle university. We had the Jerk chicken with greens. I must say the food was beautiful with fresh ingredients. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it.

R. M.Popped in for my breakfast and had one of the best full English’s I can remember! The service was amazing and my server was very attentive and made sure I was taken care of the entire time! The lady, who I assume to be the manager, was very chatty to everyone as well which made the overall environment of the cafe feel comfortable and inviting!
