Great place to visit, fantastic coffee and really good quality food. Wonderful location which is ideal for walking, wheeling or cycling too. The trees are probably your best bet for securing your bike, but make sure you have a long chain, as d-locks will struggle. You can sit outside to be close to your bike or most seats inside have a good view of the outside so you can concentrate on the coffee rather than worrying about your bike. Costs a bit more than some places but it's really worth it.

Unfortunately they were out of avocado ,so I couldn't have avo sandwich...,but I had buttermilk pancakes ( mid size ,3 pcs ) w/ yogurt & berries & cherries were good !! I had a pot of tea as well.They were a bit uncooked ,but not bad at all ! The view of Newport city footbridge from the coffee shop is wonderful ! Great location to daydreaming !! Lol. So many people are taking their dogs everywhere they go in Newport !! So good to see !! Two guys working here were friendly & they had a toilet inside which is very convenient / important to me ! Many restaurants/ cafes in Wales / England don't have toilets inside ( which is supposedly illegal in L.A. ) !!Even chain cafes & coffee shops !

Jack and Esther are fab hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The location is spot on, with lovely views of the river, footbridge and Friars Walk. The coffee is quite possibly the best in South Wales, thanks to Northstar Roast. The WiFi is strong, fast and free. The cakes/pastries are baked to perfection. The brunch menu is amazing, especially the BBQ sweet potato and chorizo bake - my new comfort food!

Hands down the best place to eat and have a cup of coffee in Newport. The only speciality coffee shop in Newport, gorgeous interior, gorgeous people and ideal location. The staff are so genuine and make an effort to have a chat or still manage to make you feel welcome even when they're rammed. It's a wonderful family-run business and it's no wonder they have so many regulars. My favourite place in Newport and I always recommend it here.

I've been here a few times now and I've always had such a great experience. The coffee is great quality and it's clear the team are experts. The food is yummy and changes regularly, I especially enjoyed the blondies. The overall vibe of the place is really nice and I like that it's slightly away from the busy high street. You can get a coffee and just chill.

One for real coffee lovers.... Finally a top quality coffee house. My first time here today and very happy to have tried it out. A lovely inviting place that is an improvement on hi coffee (what it previously was). Most importantly the coffee was amazing, two talented baristas behind the counter that certainly know there trade and take pride in what they deliver. I would give the coffee a 5star but didn't give the lite bites or cakes a try (being January and all that) but all looked brilliant. I look forward to many more visits.

Called in for the first time today and was very pleased that I did. The barista was very knowledgeable and took time to serve me a very impressive late. Talking to the staff it's clear this coffee house really cares about their drinks, tea and hot chocolate included! They even hold "Home Brew Masterclass" evenings to help you improve your own skills at home. I will go out of my way to return as they have pleantly of choice and variety without going daft and losing freshness and quality.

Quarters Coffee is the answer to a need of a quality coffee shop in Newport. Jack and Jon are both passionate about coffee wether that’s in its Espresso form or on drip in the form of V60. They’ve selected a great selection of roasters for you to try (North Star, Square Mile) with rotating guests mixing it up. If you love what you are drinking then it’s also available to purchase available in bean form or ground to your preference. I’ve worked here during the day and enjoyed the unlimited refill offer allowing you try all they have to offer without feeling guilty, even if that means coming away a little wired! These guys love family too and my little one enjoys her free babyccino. So if you love coffee step away from the high street chains, walk across the footbridge and enjoy Quarters Coffee.

Shame no sofa seats, although place probably not big enough to accommodate such seating arrangements. Also everyone seems to struggle with the keypad lock to use the toilet, so should just remove completely. Other than that, great coffee and cake.

Lovely brunch menu. Pancakes with ice cream was a treat for the 8year old! Tried to go again the following weekend with the 7year old, only to be told the ice cream machine was off for cleaning 😭 .. Ah well, now there's a good excuse for us to happily visit again!

Went for the first time around 3 weeks ago and was very impressed with everything from the decor to the customer service. Extremely clean and covid conscience inside but there is also outside seating if you feel safer sitting there. After such a good first experience I went back yesterday to find out they close at 3pm. I got there just as they were packing up and one of the staff couldn’t apologise enough for me not being able to get served, again impressing me with great customer service. I ended up going to Horton’s next door, where they need to learn a thing or two about customer service and how to make a good flat white. I’ll definitely be back again...before 3pm ;)

This quaint and understated coffee shop popped up a few months ago along my walking route to work. Apprehensive as always when a new coffee shop opens in Newport (the coffee culture here isn’t the best) I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit and have been a regular ever since. -The coffee is consistently excellent! -Their delicious baked goods are sourced locally and there’s seasonal options always available.This being super refreshing in an industry where it’s so easy to just bulk buy cakes from Costco and sell them at a crazy mark up. - they have a great working relationship with their suppliers. I’ve attended sessions where their coffee supplier has been in store speaking to both staff and customers in depth about a product that their so passionate about. A great coffee spot ran by lovely people....Their small talk’s not too bad either.

The only reason I’d give Quarters Coffee a 5 star review is because the option of seven stars was not available. We hired the cafe/bar for my mother’s 60th and felt the atmosphere, variety of drinks and size of the venue was absolutely spot on. Whilst I do take much personal responsibility for the hangover I suffered the following day, I do place a portion of the blame at the feet of Quarters for providing such a delicious selection of bottled beer. The Crate pale ale was a particular favourite of mine and seemed to compliment the cheese boards scattered around the room, perfectly. I am however yet to conclude whether Pale Ale and Camembert is a genuine taste sensation or simply the confused diet of a drunk Welshman. I fully intend to visit the cafe on many more occasions in the near future and will likely take up the unlimited coffee option with a slice of cake. The spot is ideal for students/freelancers and/or anyone looking to enjoy a good coffee in a great cafe. A final mention to the wonderful staff of Quarters. The chaps were incredibly friendly and their passion for quality service was on display throughout the evening. Their desire to provide the best customer experience is evident in the wide range of coffee, beers and spirits - all of which have been researched and tested in advance. I will certainly be back, if of course, I am allowed.

Best coffee spot this side of the Severn! Lovely food, great conscious coffee, and views of the River Usk. Best of all is the incredibly friendly staff who make the effort to get to know all their customers, accommodate every request, and make Quarters feel warm and welcoming.
