Wow! So excited to be that child again to want every topping, but hubby said to control yourself 🤪 Ordered a waffle with bubblegum flavoured ice-cream, and my girls ordered the same with sweets 🤯. Service was good, staff were friendly. Next time I will loose control 😜

First time we've been here and was quite nice. The food was very tasty and I feel you get alot more if you go for a waffle/crepe that's in the menu instead of making your own.

Food was incredible, the choice was outstanding. So many different flavours of ice cream to choose from. The waffle was fluffy and springy just as it should be. It was incredibly tasty.

Our son received a price is wight voucher for sweet Charlie's. This is our second visit. Our 4 children had a sharing platter and it was huge!!!! They couldn't eat it all so we were given cardboard boxes to take it home in. Lovely quick service. Will return again

Took the kids here today for a little treat. The open doors on the front let In a great breeze during the summer days, and the decor is soooo candy shop! While I was waiting to order, the manager invited my kids up to sample all the ice cream flavours which made their day, and made me less stressed about waiting in the que! When the food came, the waffles were huge! The range of flavours were fantastic, and the sweet smell in the air reminded me of the German Christmas Market . The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was so relaxed. They also have a large selection on the menu, and you can create toppings as you please! It was a good price for a treat, and filling.

We had the chocolate tapas for 2 deal on The price is Wight. Easy to book experience and great price. My son and I had a wonderful time savouring the delights of the Chocolate tapas. Waffles, shortbread, strawberries, bananas, chocolate brownie bites +++ with 2 pots of dipping chocolate. We both ordered Biscoff milkshakes to go with it. Delicious food and drinks with excellent service from friendly staff. We loved it so much that we've ordered another deal. This place is likely to become a regular with us. I highly recommend both the experience and Sweet Charlie's itself.

Ok, start with the food, FANTASTIC !, The staff, FANTASTIC, The layout and look, BRILLIENT ! What ever your age, what ever the reason, kids treat, family bonding, recharge or even birthday, this place is well worth a visit. You will return ! The menu covers all sweets / desserts, milk shakes and waffles and ice cream sundays. The options are beyond your expectations !

Really nice spacious shop. The prices are very reasonable and you can fully customise your waffle or crepe. Staff were very nice and the food came very quickly. Only thing I'd say is to put a sign that says "please take a seat and order at the till" or have the staff say that upon arrival. All in all we enjoyed this place and it really stands out in newport when walking by.

Fantastic place! We took our little boy here for his 3rd birthday lunch/treat and everything was perfect for him! Fast and accurate service, delicious food at a reasonable price! Additionally, when the staff found out it was his birthday, they went out of their way to supply him with a birthday balloon and a huge chocolate ice cream treat with a birthday candle which made his day! Thank you all, we will be returning 😊

Delicious! Ordered a Kinder Surprise waffle and it was very tasty, excellent value for money and a real treat. Would definitely recommend this location to all, young and old for a nice hot drink or dessert, they even do savoury treats and parties too! Book your table now, you’ll be impressed!

Had a delivery through uber eats It was incredible. The waffles were still warm and had a very generous toppings. I had the crunch munch and it was incredible and surprisingly very very filling. Would love to come and visit in person some time soon. If they can produce this result on delivery I cant wait for what it will be like in store!

Took the kids here for our last night on the island and they loved it, nice premises, friendly staff, big choice of freshly made deserts. Online booking didn't work well for us but called and they changed it to a table for 11 that we needed.

After visiting several times, I have now worked out I can only manage the half waffle. My eyes are truly bigger than my belly! They are so delicious, with so many options. Staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. It is nice to pop in somewhere like this with the children on a late summers night for a treat. I can see this being a regular place to visit.

I went with high expectations and left disappointed. We ordered savoury crepes to start and icecream sweets to follow. Sadly the sweets arrived before the savoury so the the ice cream on the hottest day of the year was melting fast by the time we ate them. I'm not sure if the crepes were meant to be dry, and crispy but I prefer mine soft and lightly cooked. Having said that the decor was bright and colourful and the staff chatty and helpful.

My three stars are ⭐ for the staff, who were friendly and helpful, ⭐ the ambience/decor fun, cheerful and lovely and clean and ⭐ for the great music! I had the crepes with 5 toppings.. whilst the toppings were delicious, sadly the crepes were awful!! They were rubbery and tough to chew and tasted of cardboard. Soooo disappointed when I had looked forward to my visit for a special treat date with my daughter. I will return to give them another shot and to try the waffles.. here's hoping they are light, soft and delicious 🤞🤞

Food was ok and service was good but this place is meant to be known for its milkshakes my 1st got sent back and remade 2nd wasn’t that good and my 4yr even said can she get a different drink and her milkshake was horrible, on tasting it I had to agree, they did refund them so that’s great. I have been back on a couple of occasions since and tried some waffles and cheesecakes which I have to say where both very nice so will upgrade the previous 2star I left to 4

This place a lot of potential. The menu on offer is great, and the decor and the branding is really good. The only thing I will say is, the staff don't seem to know what's going on. There's also way too many behind the counter, and not enough cleaning tables, or doing much work. There seems to be a lot of chatting going on, and the menu on the table isn't the same as the one at the till. If you're reusing these menus, it might be a good idea to laminate them so they don't get dirty and can be cleaned after use. Dining areas also need to be cleaned. The tables were so sticky, and the floor was filthy. Cleaning and service need to be improved. Other than that, I really liked it!

Due to being Celiac I have never had the experience of eating a waffle before. I ordered a gluten free waffle with Nutella, maple syrup, strawberries and whipped cream. It was the most delicious treat I have ever tasted. I was suggested to try Sweet Charlie's by a few people on Facebook as it was my first time in the Isle of Wight. If I ever travel again to the IOW I will definitely be coming back here to eat a gluten free waffle with different toppings. Cannot recommend this place enough. I have never been so excited to try a waffle before. This is one of my new favourite places. I can't wait to come back! They even have gluten free cake and a delicious panini sandwich which I purchased and thoroughly enjoyed.

I love this place. if you need a sweet fix to last a week this is the place to go. It not just the food that is sweet the stuff are so helpful, kind, happy and lovely.
