This coffee shop is downstairs at Northampton railway station (AKA Castle station). It was previously located on St Giles Street. At time of my visit it had only just opened in its new location, so expect things to get even better. The coffee is fantastic, and I suspect all the other drinks are too.

Great coffee , very friendly staff . Cakes and pastries , sweet and savoury are always fresh and very tasty …… plus if you are a Harry Potter fan it’s full of goodies . Super comfy and cosy place to enjoy a coffee or grab a coffee for your journey . I highly recommend ☕️🍩

Lovely little Harry Potter themed cafe with great milkshakes and variety of cakes. Has a small choice of toasties. If you fancy a nice lunch filled with sweetness and great atmosphere, this is the place to go 🙂

A cute little place in desperate need of more customers! It has a great fantasy/Harry Potter theme for fans of the series.
Great to see a selection of vegan food available. We had a pistachio, chive, and rosewater cake and a vegan 'sausage' roll. Would love to see more of these!
Soya milk was available for coffees which was good to see as well. Not sure if extra was charged - hopefully not.

Harry potter themed cafe. Lots of varied hot and cold drinks such as milkshakes and coffees. They had some nice seasonal options such as pumpkin spice and creme brulee. A bit overpriced for what it is, but still a cute spot for coffee.

I don’t know whether this place is still open. It is a hidden gem of Northampton. Step into a world of fantasy. It’s so cozy and the detail inside is absolutely delightful. Friendly staff. The food is beautiful. Love how the food was decorated and displayed. I bought cappuccino and had a mozzarella pesto sandwich, it came with salad and crisps. Good portions, very filling. The sandwich displayed in a basket like in red riding hood and an apple. The cafe interior is like escaping into one of Harry Potter books. Floating candles, jack and the beanstalk, Cinderella's shoe, careful you might end up in my novel sign. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Good value for money. I will definitely be coming here again. And there's parking outside. Don't forget to buy a ticket. I always find eating in a big city, can be intimidating and deciding where to go hard. If you love reading, this place is a great place to go and you'll fit in. It's retro and cool. Everyone please make sure you give the Magic Bean Emporium a chance. For someone like me who lives outside Northampton, this place is a real asset to Northampton. Keep up the great work!

Visited this unique and charming little coffee shop on the ground floor under the stairs at Northampton Railway Station today.
The staff are lovely and the coffee was fantastic, highly recommended !

Nice friendly atmosphere. Lovely cakes which weren't too small !!. Coffee was obviously decent but my americano was a bit weak for my taste but don't let that put you off. It was still a nice place and way way better than the terrible coffee shop chains on the manky high street.

Me and the girlfriend love this place after finding it. Cosy atmosphere, the staff are warm and friendly and the toasties are great, really good bread used. The cake and coffee are all excellent. A place we'll both always use for as long as it's there and I hope it's a very long time.

Great selection of tea, mine came in cast iron tea pot, with wooden board and timer. Very environmentally friendly furniture and nice interior. I loved that they displayed where tea originated from and the shop as well. Cosy and warm with friendly staff.

WOW!!! What a place,i want to live here! The staff are great, the drinks sublime the sandwiches are the BEST, they come with either crisps or popcorn and served in a red riding hood style basket. The atmosphere is the best i've experienced in a coffee shop if i'm honest. Only drawback..no wifi, that said i'd choose here over somewhere with wifi any day.

I was there this morning before going on my train to Coventry. I had a very nice cup of coffee. The staff were very friendly

Another hidden gem! Behind the misted windows lies a coffee shop on a par with other artisan coffee shops in the area.
It's fantasy theme combining Harry Potter through to Cinderella and Snow White make it an adventure for all ages.
The charm of sandwiches served in picnic baskets with a red gingham check cloth creates an extra layer of fantasy adventure. The cakes look fabulous and the hot chocolate and drinks served in a variety of quirky glasses are very good.
Games of Jenga on the tables and a welcoming atmosphere means small children are welcome here.
At busy times it can be a bit cramped, but it's long opening hours, and especially Monday opening mean you should be able to find a time which suits.

Very nice little bistro style cafe. Rustic, friendly and welcoming staff. Good food and cakes and great coffee and other refreshment. A nice out of the ordinary place to go.

Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff. If the special is the maple bacon melt, then get it. A pocket sized break from reality, with a mind towards the environment and offers student discount on top.

Looks nice from the outside however their opening hours are not as advertised. 9.30am and fully locked up with chairs on the tables. Went back 15 mins later and still closed. Not a good way to run a coffee shop "the morning drink".
Went across the road to Dreams Coffee Lounge instead (who open at 8am, like a coffee shop should)

Back again, a cosy friendly atmosphere. Very exciting that they have great vegan options but since I have been there a few times now I'm looking for a bit more variety now. BUT I do love it in this querky Harry Potter themed café.

I think it is a cosy cute place for a cup of coffee and delicious pancakes right in the city centre. It's placed on the nicest streets in Northampton. There are board games inside, great tea, aweme milkshakes and lovely staff.

We've been a few times now, we love that it's a bit different, cute and quirky. They don't hurry you and have thought of lovely little extras like games to play on the tables. We love it.

Them is very important for me and hit the nail on the head with that one but the price well let's just say it needs to be looked at £2.45 for a small glass bottle of Coca-Cola ridiculous see what I did there lol
