Reviews of The Willow Tree

A perfect cafe, the staff were lovely, friendly, polite and very professional, we had tea and toasted teacakes, delicious 😋
We sat in the conservatory so enjoyed the views around us.
It had lovely outside seating too, but we were sheltering from the rain that day.
Ideal spot for a family day out, a romantic day or a lone stroll day out!

wonderful place after a lovely walk with my dog, my friend and her collie. service was great, especially from the girl with colourful hair and the guy wearing a plaid shirt making drinks. would come again

While there can be a bit of a wait for food, the chips are well worth the wait, and it is a great place to stop whilst on a walk!
Just remember to bring change for the car park as they do charge for cashback at the café.

Service was good after a long wait, there wasn't even that many people in the cafe but the staff were very unorganised...
M. P.
Try their 'signature bacon bap', we did today and it's the best we have tasted for a very long time! The cafes under new ownership, new seating outside, worth trying again, in the sun.

Great cafe to stop at when at Pitsford. Love going there food is good and has a simple but nice menu and the prices aren't too bad. They sell ice cream too
G. H.
Nice to stop halfway around the reservoir for a cuppa and a pretty good homemade sausage roll, waiting time for food can be a little longer than you'd expect, staff are friendly enough but all staff were very young and seemed a little unorganised, prices not too bad.
S.
They keep moving the tables and chairs around, none of which match and are usually not very clean. They have also shut the "conservatory" part again, which is a shame. Not as good as it use to be.
S. T.
Limited selection sometimes available, depending on the time of your visit. Always a queue but staff are very polite and friendly.
K. M.
Nice food and reasonable prices.
Can eat in or outside.
E. L.
Suggest the bacon roll over toasted teacake, mine was well over toasted, almost inedible
F. C.
Great to finally see a modern touch in this individual location!! Southern fried chicken burger was on the money.

Due to the covid the queue was quite a long wait, the staff were under constant pressure but coped well. We only had coffees and they were decent enough and reasonably priced. The only thing we agreed on was that the cost of the car park is a bit steep, with the cheapest option being 4 hours and a £3.20 bill for the pleasure. I'm sure for the people who want to walk or cycle around the various trails it's a justifiable expense but for a quick cuppa it's a little bit steep. Disabled badge holders are not exempt from the charges or even discounted either.

The ice cream was delicious and the customer service was great

Haven't eaten there but the coffee and hot chocolate is nice.

Much improved since a revamp but service a bit slow

New Year's day and the cafe, as expected, was extremely busy with staff working hard to keep the queue down. We ordered two toasted sandwiches and a baked potato with a luxury hot choc and a gingerbread latte; all was delicious 😋 Used the facilities afterwards; lovely and clean. Would definitely visit again 😊
M. B.
Very nice, dog friendly and decent food after a nice walk

Not the best, not the worst. A good plus is the BIG mugs of latte! The minus is the poor lady behind the counter, bless her, it ain't a 1 person job! She needs help!! My order arrived wrong, the waitress wasn't impressed, not sure if it was me she was not impressed with? But hey, I'm the one who had his food order delivered incorrect!! It was rectified quickly, not without the waitress berating the lady behind the counter publicly?! All a bit a shame really. The location is lovely, shame these places aren't run by Costa or some other chain and not a local authority.

Nice little coffee shop
Coffee 8/10
Bacon bap 10/10

I loved the jacket potato and my friend enjoyed her filled baguette and chips. We asked for an extra pot of hot water to top up teapots which was happily supplied. Lots of choice, reasonable prices, tasty food.

It was good to find this café. But a big but, I first had to pay £3.20 just for a twenty minute stop. This was the cheapest car park option, three hours. Then I was put off by so much single use plastic. I couldn't get a slice of cake without masses of plastic and a plastic fork. So had to settle for just a mug of tea.

Nice spot. Have coffee there regularly. WC and bike shop near with hire available. They do a loyalty card for coffee, you get the tenth one free.
A. G.
Overall a cosy little café, however I was rather disappointed to find out that the coffee tasted different to how it normally is. Not bad, but it was better previously.

ugly furniture & the fridge that holds the drinks does not cool them down but it's quite ok for the prices they offer
S. P.
This is a wonderful coffee shop. Excellent value for money with a vast array of coffees & teas. Plus little snacks if needed.
I. W.
Just eaten lunch here, Jacket Potato and Cappuccino both hot and tasty, 5 stars
T. M.
Great asset to the country park

I am sure a lot more could be done with this to capitalise on its location. Staff did not appear to be particularly competent. Having said all that it's great to get an ice cream or drink after walking around the lake.
k. S.
Nice cafe to rest and have a refreshing drink after walking or cycling Pitsford water.
J. D. L.
At the moment, they are only serving to guests sitting outside
E. G.
Captive audience if you just done 7 miles around the reservoir one needs tea, but it took as long to do the walk as to get it, chicken & bacon baguette looked and tasted like dog food, still plenty of dogs here.
R. F.
Really good nice atmosphere
