Had a fantastic lunch here. The staff are terrific and couldn’t do more to look after their patrons. Jason brought our dog Lils some sausage and the red velvet cake homemade by Kate was delicious! I love this local cafe, they work with a wonderful charity to support those on the journey to sobriety, which is a fantastic cause! And their passion for caring for others shows through with their cafe service, too. The staff are welcoming and attentive, and the menu offers both omni- and vegetarian and vegan options. The tables are well spaced and comfortable to sit at, with unique and cool decor to add to the quirky and independent vibe of the cafe. Definitely worth a visit for a coffee or light lunch!

Great little venue, perfect for parties! We held a baby shower at Cafe Sobar which had a nice little corner area for us to decorate and use as our own. Very impressed with the alternatives for afternoon tea, I ate the vegan afternoon tea which was a combination of spinach falafel wraps and Jack fruit wraps, dessert was a dark chocolate tart. The traditional afternoon tea looked very pretty and the cafe were happy to cater for vegetarian and nut free. Covered all bases! Service was great and I would recommend this venue if you have a large group of people.

Excellent price-to-value breakfast experience with state-of-the-art catering infrastructure. The door automatically opens upon approaching the entrance. The staff were extremely accomodating and delivered our order fast. In order to enhance the breakfast experience, I recommend introducing a button system that would signal the staff whenever the guests would like to order anything additionally.

One of my favourite spots for coffee and cake on a weekend morning. It's a joyful cafe where everyone seems genuinely cheerful and it's a lovely bustling atmosphere to be in. Cakes are absolutely delicious as is the coffee. Lots of vegan and veggie options too.

Absolutely wonderful place! High quality delicious food and drinks, and the staff are always warm and welcoming! Perfect for quick working lunches (plenty of sockets for laptops and free WiFi!) The best part for us though is how family and child friendly they are! Nothing is too much trouble and they even have baby changing supplies next to the changing station if you ever forget or run short! Would recommend to anyone!

My favourite cafe in Nottingham. The staff are so lovely and will always remember you. The food is great with lots of vegan options. My go to drinks are their big 5 smoothie or their vegan salted caramel milkshake, but you honestly wouldn't be disappointed with anything they offer. Always have a great cake range and atmosphere too!

What a fantastic cafe! Decided to try Cafe Sobar after seeing great reviews on TripAdvisor and the full English looked good in the photos I saw. And it was indeed very tasty! Bacon and sausage were great quality and the egg was cooked to perfection. I was very impressed at how quickly the food came out after ordering. Huge selection of teas, perfect alternative to coffee and cold soft drinks. Very reasonable prices and great value for money. They also offer student and NHS discount which is a nice touch. Staff are wonderful and the mission behind the cafe is brilliant. Will be recommending to anyone I know who visits Nottingham. Keep up the amazing work.

What a brilliant place, 6 of us visited today for brunch whilst visiting a university student. Although it was busy a table was quickly sorted by the friendly staff. We did have to wait a bit for our food, which was delicious, but were given complimentary drinks because of this. We had some good banter with our gentleman server and a laugh. We shall certainly be back when visiting again, a really good find giving to excellent causes. Oh and thanks for the Christmas cake it’s delicious 😋.

The food is excellent, one of the best full English I've had, and generous too. The service was really quick and friendly, gives you the atmosphere of a neighborhood cafe in a city centre setting. Love the building too, will definitely be back when we next visit Nottingham.

What a cafe! Caters for children of all ages (we were with our 2 year old daughter). The fish projector on the wall and colouring sheets were a great distraction whilst she was waiting for her food. We had breakfast and all of the food was fast, hot and delicious. The staff were extremely attentive and listened to any extra requirements we had (I'm pregnant so asked for my scrambled egg to be thoroughly cooked - it was, but wasn't dry). The toilets and baby changing were clean too. Overall a fantastic experience and all for a charitable cause. Well done Cafe Sobar, we will be back!

In my wife's own words, the spinach is perfectly cooked, mushroom is freshly grilled instead of from a can, poached eggs are soft enough but not too soft to make your plate messy and the bacon tastes great! A very relaxed environment suits well to this quaint cafe in the heart of Nottingham. It is a lovely alcohol free cafe, mind you pretty much all cafes are alcohol free, well so is this one. It is vegetarian and vegan friendly. The menu is quite something with a wide range of everything. Do go to enjoy it, and take the kids with you. It's well worth it.

Cafe Sobar is a wonderful cafe for lunch if you're in town. Having been to Sobar for drinks but never eaten there before, I was very surprised with the quality of the food. I had a delicious BBQ jackfruit burger and thick fries. I would highly recommend this dish. Ordering at the bar, means service is quick and efficient. Cafe Sobar is centrally located and really easy to find. It's also in a beautiful building with a relaxed vibe.

Superb café - the big breakfast is a) big (as advertised), b) well cooked, and c) segregated so that the beans don't go everywhere. The flat white was strong and well made, but above all of this the service was superb. Friendly and attentive, and when I had to leave at short notice due to a minor family emergency, they packed the remainder of my meal into a takeaway container at no charge. I'll definitely be back to finish a breakfast in peace!

Vibe: friendly service, chilled out space with high ceilings which provide good acoustics whether you would like to have a chit chat with somebody or work. Had a weekend in Nottingham and decided to go here for breakfast as it seemed like a quality place. But was left disappointed unfortunately. Eggs were under cooked on top and were will clear and wet, bacon was undercooked with scald marks on (which says the grill was too hot), the rest was average at best. Even though the tea was good quality the clear cups didnt fit the saucers they were on... The manager was apologetic and was happy to refund which says this was probably a blip and I was very unlucky. Still a 3 star; great hospitality, nice atmosphere, free water, quality tea.

Have come to cafe sobar quite a few times now and really enjoy going here. It has become the go to for breakfast/brunch as it is of good quality and very well priced. Only once has a mistake been made with an order but the staff were very apologetic and sorted it out immediately happily. Behind the facade of a lovely coffee shop, with friendly staff, there are rooms where loads of recovery groups meet. Apparently the building used to be the Nottinghamshire Bank, which is why it has amazingly high ceilings and the store room is the old safe (check the pretty flowers painted on the safe bolts)
