P. H.I’ve visited a few times, with family and alone on the bike and always enjoy the food and drink on offer. Chilled out atmosphere and a welcoming owner. Everything just happens quickly with the minimum of fuss, I like that ;)
N. R.It was a cool but bright day, I arrived starvingly hungry and ordered food and coffee immediately upon arrival. The food came very quickly - Hot soup and sour dough bread, both were excellent. Coffee, a flat white came later, which for me was perfect. Good latte art and correct temperature. Taste was mild, but with natural sweetness, obviously fresh beans, clean machine running at correct brew temperature and grinder set properly. My only slight negative comment would be that the bike racks are terrible.

Really enjoyed my coffee and cake which was excellent value.

C. T.Been visiting on and off over two years and have seen the cafe and surrounds develop and evolve. The units are now all occupied, businesses include a hairdresser, a beauty salon and kitchen design.
What is ever present is the quality of the coffee - drinks as a whole to be fair - and the utter professionalism and friendliness of the people who work there. The staff were great pre-pandemic in 2019 and then stepped up a notch throughout the Winter 2020 lockdown, when outdoor cafes were allowed to open. Cafe Velo Vert was often our only bit of sunshine, as we determined to keep on riding our bikes despite wind and the cold temperatures. As health workers whose jobs have been monumentally difficult, it was a treat to have someone else make you a coffee and somewhere to go last winter!
As the Great Re-Opening has virtually happened by now, this visit we were able to treat ourselves to a sit down at a table (no longer on the steps or the wooden garden surround) and so shared a Rocky Road. Massive slice for one as it happened, so happy to have shared!
I usually have a hot chocolate with all the extras but this time chose an Earl Gray Blue (something) because I’d already decided I was having a cake! Himself had a Velo Vert Special Latte which I think involved darl chocolate sprinkles…
Lovely setting with all the plants really starting to bed in - literally as there’s a metal bedstead as a climbing frame.
AND, I’ve not even mentioned the nature walk, come here on a bike or not, it’s a supremely tranquil and vibrant little spot!
S. A.Excellent food produced almost before we had sat down, lots and lots of staff and a smaller menu means the turnaround is very fast. Services provided include bike locks, and charging points for your phone and Garmin. Perfect stop off on your ride just make sure you don't miss it.
T. H.Great cycling cafe, one of my favourites in the uk let alone Midlands. Staff are personable, coffee is great and decent enough value for money. Watch out for the gravel tho as it can get in your cleats. Will be back regularly

Visited with my cycling club this morning, had a flat white and lovely carrot cake. While we were leaving, I saw some being brought a sausage bap. I couldn't stop thi k about it all the way home.
Walked through the door, asked my wife if she wanted to go to a cafe and drove straight over.. the sausage bap was bob on.. everything I was hoping for.

A. P.Welcome break on a cycle from Lincoln to Nottingham and a nice place it is too. The owner (I think) stopped to ask after our journey and was very nice and sociable. Couple of minor things though and don't want to sound picky but, I had to ask for the sugar to go with the coffee I ordered and was given just 2 small sachets, certainly not a teaspoon in each. The sausage and egg cob was just what I needed it be, with quality produce, but it would have been much easier to eat if the Sausages were sliced in two along their length and better held in place on the cob.

I've only recently started visiting after a tip off from a cycling friend. Great surroundings, a nice vibe, friendly owners & staff, & great food & coffee.
I was there today (Weds) mid morning, & expected it to be mid week quiet, but it was buzzing, with just about all tables occupied. That's perhaps an indicator of just how right the owners have pitched the place & the friendly & fast moving staff are doing things.

T. S.Rode to Velo Verde today and I must say the staff could not have been friendlier. There is plenty of space and good facilities for cyclist. Bike racks, toilets and water refills. The 2 stand out things though, were 1. The food. I took a bacon and sausage butty and sausage roll. Informed meat is from a local butcher and you can tell. But 2. Most impressive speed of service was top notch and this was a busy sunny Sunday plus we were a group of 13! The owners both came to ask how we were getting on as did another member of staff. They couldn't do enough for us. From me, thank you.

J.CVV is an oasis of excellence in the Vale of Belvior which I would like to personally recommend for customer service, menu choices, overall ambience and value for money - seriously, it is well worth paying that little extra for. Their menu reflects their passion for great, tastey but local food which is prepared freshly to order but always with individual loving attention. They have an fantastic range of gluten free items as well. All the staff are friendly, considerate and have an excellent sense of humour, which accurately reflects just some of the attributes of the caffe owners, Vinnie and Bill.
Fantastic job so far guys, I am looking forward to my next visit already.

J. C.Excellent stop off. As an avid cyclist it was great to look at the bikes and classic artwork/memorabilia on the walls but this is a good day out no matter what your interest is in cycling. The cafe serve up great coffee and a strong breakfast/lunch menu and the farm/nature trail will entertain the little ones.

P. W.What can one say about Caffe Velo Verde other than it has become a cyclists mecca. The staff are fully Covid prepared, easy to order food and drink. The staff take your name and contact details. The work that has been undertaken to provide outside seating is perfect. We couldn't recommend it or the owners more highly. It is a grand place to aim for on a cycling trip for relaxing, refreshing and then riding out renewed. I particularly recommend the sausage baps with brown sauce 😋
