I spotted this hidden gem of a café on sunny autumn morning.
There is a lot of space in the middle, tables and chairs are on the left hand side, and there is a sofa and a table and chairs combo on the right hand side.
The decoration on the walls are quirky, minimalistic and stylish.
The kitchen area behind the counter could be someone's kitchen, you can smell the cooking when it is done.
I had the pleasure of the bacon, halloumi and avocado brioche. It was lovely, freshly made and reasonable priced too.
Service was very good, helpful guy took my order and made the sandwich too.
There were three local gentlemen in there at the time who just sat there talking with hardly any regard for the passing of time.
Overall, had a good buy short experience. I would love to return and try some of the fruit juices they have on offer.

Enjoyed a Tapas at Cup of Calm on the 4th June 2022. For a small family run business, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the tapas was, given the limited cooking facilities. The food was tasty and served nicely and both myself and my partner enjoyed the event. We would have ordered extras, as this was an option but we were too full!!
Hopefully they will have another tapas night in the future. If you didn't manage to make it, you should add it to your calendar if any future events pop up!!
Or just pop in for a cuppa, its a lovely little place 😊

Having just moved into Kirkby a short while ago I was looking for somewhere to get a ‘decent’ cup of coffee, somewhere welcoming and fairly relaxed. Fortunately I did not have to look far to find this little gem. Paul and Jules the Proprietors are the most delightful couple welcoming, friendly and a pleasure to chat to……the coffee is also first class and made exactly the way I like it. There is a very nice small but varied menu just right for a light breakfast or lunch or a slice of cake with your cuppa which all focuses around healthy eating and is proving to be delicious. The decor and seating provides a relaxing reasonably peaceful and calming environment and because this is a new venture small changes are on going so it is nice to witness the development of this little gem. I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough it has everything you could wish for to take time out of your busy day for yourself.
