There aren't enough words to describe how much we loved our first visit today. The atmosphere and staff are absolutely lovely and very welcoming. The layout is clear and spacious. The selection of games is insanely generous. The price of sitting at a table is very reasonable but the food and drinks aren't cheap. That said, given all of the perks from eating and drinking in such fantastic surroundings, it is so very much worth it! We will be back. A lot!

I'm not usually a fan of board games as I get bored quite easily but I really enjoyed my visit on a rainy afternoon. We played two games and I actually really enjoyed it. We also shared a pizza and had some lovely ice cream milkshakes. The games were in excellent condition and the venue was tidy and clean. Will be back again soon! We played Lost Cities and Fifth Avenue.

Been wanting to visit a board game cafe for a while with my partner and daughter. Having driven past Ludorati many time we decided to take the plunge and it was worth it, absolutely brilliant place. It was modern, spacious and had a great selection of games. We decided on the game of life and had such a great time. The staff were really nice and helpful and the milkshakes were first class. Great to spend the afternoon as a family.

This is a brilliant boardgames cafe in the heart of Nottingham. Over 1000 boardgames with great hourly rates - and milkshakes and pizzas to die for. If you're a boardgamer with some friends and you're looking for an afternoon out, pick Ludorati!

Really really cute place, staff are informative and friendly, didn't make me feel out of place at all.
They have easy systems to follow, can even have a tab open until your done with your time and pay at the end.
They have a wide array of board games to play, cute for dates or bigger gaming sessions with your friends.
Really looking forward to going back 🤩

Great milkshakes - I had an Oreo one and asked for an espresso shot and it was incredible!
Only issue was we all paid (group of about 13) but then the last two people in our group were held up by waiters saying 2 people were yet to pay, and they charged them an extra 2 peoples worth. We definitely all paid and had reciepts to prove it so it's a shame, and was a shame how the staff dealt with the situation by why our friends said.

as a student who works during the day, I struggle to find somewhere that allows me to study and then relax with friends.
the staff here are so lovely and accommodating, especially India and Matt with the latte art!
will certainly come back here!

Never been to a board game cafe before but this was a great experience all round! Great selection of games for all tastes, AMAZING pizza and good selection of drinks.

Fantastic fun! Great selection of board games, drinks and food with very friendly staff.

We called in here while spending the weekend in Nottingham and we enjoyed our time there.
We found that the staff were very friendly and patient when explaining all the information about the place to us as first time visitors.
There is a seated area which acts primarily as a cafe but with a handful of board games they can be played for free and this could be a nice option for a family killing time. Then there is a larger playing area behind this with a library of games to choose from and which you pay for your time there.
We found the choice of games overwhelming as people who do not know too much board games. Perhaps it could be useful to have some suggestions for people? (Eg. Top 5 games based on reactions, top 5 co-op games, top 5 strategy, top 5 quick play).
Once we'd chosen our games we didn't have much time to play it as Pandemic takes a while to learn and set up on your first go but we enjoyed it all the same.
The food was reasonable for a quick snack, maybe a little overpriced for what it is, considering paninis didn't come with a salad just a few nachos. But a nice selection of cakes and teas to go with it.
Also the place stayed open until 11 when we visited on Saturday so it's a great option for a night out if you're not looking to drink or dance and just want a place to have fun and conversation with friends. Be sure to make a bit of extra time to sign up and become a member if you're a first time visitor.

Awesome place with huge selection of boardgames and friendly staff. They serve food and alcohol - everything from beer through to whiskey. We're often quite rowdy with our game playing and they are very tolerant, so deserve a big tip!
Great game and cafe place in Nottingham, would recommend!

This is a lovely cafe in Nottingham, and I love the idea of being able to borrow (or rent) a boardgame to play here. Alas, we did not have time to try that side of things out during our visit, but I did find a copy of a game that I thought was out-of-print at a very reasonable price.
The staff here were really friendly and helpful and the coffee and snacks that we had were really nice. Definitely give this place a try if you are in town.
M. A.
Good cafe, reasonable prices. Free wifi for guests. Large game selection, some games may be missing components or rule books. I had the hot chocolate and it was tasty. My wife had an ape pastry with ice cream and she liked it alot. We played Tsuro and loved the game. We were overwhelemed and lost at the end in The Captain Is Dead. We enjoyed playing Lanterns, creating a fun image. Seating is comfortable, table are a little cramped if you get coffee or dessert. Bathrooms are clean. Staff are nice. Will come back when we come back to nottingham.

Been coming to this Cafe for a few years now, felt welcome from day 1, service has always been top class for food and drinks and the people there are always interested in what you might want to play to get the most out of your time. If your thinking of getting started with board games...this is the place to be
A. T.
We went for an escape room that was child friendly, and it didn't disappoint! It wasn't a typical escape room, as it was a glass cube that was undecorated, but the price was so great and reflective of what they offered.
As you sit in the cafe area, you can see how many games they have, plenty for all ages. I think they hold competitions their too, if that's your sort of thing.
Would definitely go again and the people there are really nice!

Fantastic place.
We played for 4 hours, staff were knowledge! Drinks were brilliant and board games well looked after!
Will definitely be returning
Be sure to sign up to their membership card for free for discounts on drinks food and games.

Great selection of board games organised A-Z, with the nifty option of their quick little games on their own shelf. Very clean. Nice selection of soft and alcaholic drinks and tasty snacks. I've had a cheese toasted sandwich and cream teas, both great! Keep going back. Best formulation of the board game cafe genre I have come across! Highly recommend.

We had a great time here. It is air-conditioned and clean with tasty food and drinks. The stock of games to borrow is impressive. They have a quarantine area for the games after they have been used. We had a lot of fun trying out a new game and will be back. Only note is that while there was a drinks menu available on the table, it would be nice to have a food menu to browse through aswell. Highly recommend.

The barristas and the server were very polite and enthusiastic. It was my first time visiting a board game cafe and this was a fantastic experience beginning to end.
The prices are all very reasonable, especially the hourly rate for a table to play games. The selection of games is brilliant, and the food and drinks were great also.
I was actually there on a first date, and I can definitely see us returning again. (Infact in looking forward to it, thanks to everyone working there)
Y. L.
Great place to spend some time on a rainy day. A few classic and simple games can be played for free (when you've ordered something to drink/eat obviously), like chess, scrabble, mastermind.. I don't think I would pay the fee to play more complex games though as it is quite expensive.
O. M.
Real cool place, very chilled out. Lots of nice drinks and snacks available, hot and cold, soft and alcoholic.
The game selection available is really impressive, you pay ₤1.60 an hour per person. BeWare you can eat up half an hour easily learning the rules!
There's apparently 2000 games to choose from. Will be back soon.
R. S.
Best boardgame place I've been to really fair price for people who want long sessions
V. T. R.
Quite a unique experience. Some board games such as chess are free to play while you order coffee.
J. J.
Great place if you want to try out board games and have a drink
J. G.
This place is fantastic! Such a relaxing atmosphere and the staff that work there are extremely welcoming and lovely. It also has a HUGE selection of board games to choose from. I'd recommend Ludorati to anyone :)
W. W. T.
India and Matthews were brilliant serving us what we needed while we were playing, eating and drinking.
C. F.
Ludorati Cafe is a lovely place to spend time with friends playing games you've not heard of before. Coffee and cake was also great, nothing more you need to relax and have fun in a friendly atmosphere.
K. W.
Great place for a drink and a board game. Very pleasant inside and good service.
J. G.
Love coming here! Brilliant selection of games, lovely staff, great food. Perfect place to go on rainy day.
D. C.
Excellent service from the staff. We felt very welcome and they were very accommodating of our noisy toddlers. They had a yummy selection of local beers and good deserts for my wife. The amount of board games available for play is insane! Over Nine hundred options! If we had more time we would absolutely come back!
T. F.
Great staff and venue. Good drinks selection and tasty food to have while you play the wide selection of games. Venue is always very clean and has felt safe in the recent restrictions. Can't wait to start coming back in.

This is honestly one of the most impressive board game cafes I've ever been in. It's got a lot of space and some dedicated areas for bigger games and smaller, quieter experiences. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful!
I'm unsure if there's separate access for wheelchair users, but there are some steps at the main entrance which might prevent people from entering. There is a disabled toilet with baby changing available, and two (I believe) gender-neutral bathrooms available, but I'm unsure if they're similarly equipped.
There are vegan food and drink options available, but I am not sure they're entirely Whole Foods, Plant-Based compliant as I didn't check the menu. The prices are really reasonable and there's some cool craft beers and ales available too!!!
C. W.
This place is amazing. I've been with friends, colleagues, family and alone to join the social events. The food is good, and the place is always clean, but the real attraction is the wall full of games, from classics like monopoly to games I'd never heard of. Quick games to 2 hour games, cooperative games to competitive. Whatever suits your mood there is something for you. Highly recommend.
F. S.
We went the for the first time today for a tea to realise it has two board game rooms: one free one with fee. We only tried two hebal teas (serves Teapigs) and we were happy about the quality and location.
J. W.
Came here for the first time last Saturday night with some friends who are regulars. Arrived and asked to book a table and straight away we were seated. Massive selection of board games and friendly and approachable staff who are knowledgeable and are always willing to help you learn the rules of any board game. Drinks and selections of cakes are amazing and are well priced and the caramel donut shake is delicious, will definitely be returning.
B. H.
We came here for a wedding reception. Loved the vibe of the place and the board games. Will definitely come back on a regular night to see what that's like
G. H.
This is by far the best board game cafe in England that I've visited so far. Roomy, clean, modern, quiet (in the good way), with a huge collection of board games. I instantly joined and became a member, their regular news and events keep you interested in coming back, plus they have special rooms available for group sessions and even allow bookings for corporate events too. I played Last Vegas here with the available dice trays and immediately bought it online, plus trays. Great staff and service, great food and drink too, take note, this is how you do it folks
A. T.
During its quiet hours a cosy place to go and play games with friends and family, or even just to go for a coffee. During its busier hours it is still a wonderful place to visit, but it does fill up quite a bit so the noise level of course increases.
The staff are very friendly and always willing to help with whatever you need. They have a good amount of knowledge of the over 700 games available to play.
On top of this the RPG groups hosted by the staff or top notch. I couldn't have felt more welcome as a new player and now return weekly.

A Gaming Café - and a great one it is! As essentially an eater rather more than I am a gamer, I've been there a couple of times with my son and daughter-in-law and can instantly see the appeal of the place. Comfortable, relaxed, an enormous range of games on offer from traditional ludo-type sets through to the far more complex and lengthy games so popular nowadays. Great coffee and cakes to eat - and very easy to spend a few hours playing the game of choice with as many of your mates as you can muster. Helpful staff, great atmosphere and good value, excellent quality food!
R. J.
Amazing selection of games along with a good selection of food and drink. The tables were clean and well spaced out and the games were easy to browse and the ones we played didn't have any missing pieces.
The smoothies were particularly good and the Panini I had was nice.
J. F.
Really great time with a bunch of friends.. There is a great selection of board games and some new ones to try. Lovely food and great service from staff. The only thing I would improve is that some of the classics are missing like cranium and Pictionary etc
Also we played game of life and halve the people were missing but great atmosphere and well set out. Definitely heading back
A.
Well presented, but the tables aren't fit for larger games. This is better set up for couples and small families than gaming groups. The food is expensive and attempts to be "upmarket", and the games available for purchase are limited and, frankly, a bit random. It's a nice cafe. But I just feel out place there.
T. G.
Very nice to be able to pick a new boardgame from a massive selection and start having fun. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and most of the games, even if they are not familiar they can help you pick it up quicker. Really reasonable price per person per hour for the tables.
S. K.
Great gaming cafe with fee paying structure, huge game library, a selection of treats, drinks and light bites and friendly staff. I like this cafe but it will not appeal to people who don't like board games. In addition its size is somewhat smallish so it could get crowded. But the decor is crisp and inviting. A definite must for board game enthusiasts.
u.
Really great place to go if you are a fan of board games or want to learn. Chilled and welcoming atmosphere and on Mondays if you are new to it all there is a social session where you can go along and meet new people and learn to play some great games.
Food is excellent with the milkshakes being a must. Check out the Facebook page for more details and become a member to get discounts on the huge range of games they stock.
O. O.
Always had a great time here, spending many hours playing and learning different games. The staff are friendly and the experts make understanding new games so much easier. Alot of the games wouldn't be
half as easy to understand without them!
I highly recommend Ludorati for anyone, especially those who like board games and nice coffee!
J. K.
Mind-blowing selection of board / card games, and highly knowledgeable and welcoming staff. Recommend hiring out the private cube room for a nominal extra charge per head. Bar tab system means hassle-free refreshments. The coffee is top notch and the range of food (pizza, paninis, toasties, etc) is pure gaming fuel. New favourite hang out. Good for groups, family, folks with children, unique venue for work team-building challenges in the escape room.
S. H.
The primo board games establishment in the United Kingdom. I've been to several board game cafes around the UK, but none come close to stacking up to Ludorati. The selection of games is amazing and has something for everyone, every type of player, and every size of group.
It's spacious, with enough of a gap between tables that you won't be hitting anyone when you stand up suddenly and exclaim that you've won. But you're also close enough that sometimes you might make some friends when they're playing a game you recognize.
The game master that's there during peak times does a great job of explaining games to new players and ensuring that a group can pick up a game even if none of them have played it before.
The prices for booking the table are extremely reasonable, amazing value on that count. And the snacks and drinks are sensibly priced and good fuel to keep you going for long gaming sessions. Ludorati is open *late* - until midnight - on many nights, so the truly dedicated can have fun well into the night.
P. M.
I love the concept. I really do. But it's confusing for a first time visitor how the charges work. Food choice and pricing was a little disappointing and I left feeling like I'd had a very expensive and somehow unsatisfying hour. Having said that I visited with children during half term (order everything and eat little) and I would go back for a grown up evening of games and beers. Hope it makes better sense for an evening visit
C. Ó. C.
My new favourite place to pass the time with friends on a rainy day (or even a sunny one if I'm so inclined). Not only do they have every type of boardgames that you could want, the staff are experts in all of them and are super helpful when it comes to picking up a game for the first time! The prices for playing per hour are reasonable at £1.60 per person per hour. The kicker however? This place is a licensed premises and serves delicious coffee and milkshakes if your not interested in the beer or wine. The giant chess board is a nice touch.
S. D.
Was visiting Nottingham and randomly decided to check this place out. What a win. Make sure you go Monday or Tuesday and join the social table top gaming. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about all things table top. Loads of fun people to play games with and night light snacks and range of drinks.
S. W.
Great atmosphere and so many amazing games to play. A true treasure in Nottingham.
Staff are great and the place feels like a well run cafe and a legitimately good place to go for food and drink just for a quick visit as the atmosphere and design is so lovely.
The whole layout is well laid out and we'll themed.
Getting a gaming table and a choice of hundreds and hundreds of games is a great way to spend time with friends and very good value for money compared to many other social activities you may do in its place.
Staff on hand are very helpful and provide great friendly service.
L. A.
Ludorati Is an experience I would like to see again, I would definitely recommend D&D players to check it out and also introduce people into traditional board games.
J. L.
Lovely place, and the staff were really friendly, but it's very expensive in my opinion (£4.95 for a bottle of a local beer for example, plus you're paying for time spent playing).
The selection of games is pretty impressive, but they don't let you bring your own games, which will put off a lot of 'serious' gamers. Plus, while friendly, most of the staff didn't actually know much about the games they have (I think they have one or two 'explainers'), so not that great for people new to the hobby.
Nice atmosphere though, and maybe once it's built up more a community it'll be a better gaming venue.
Edit: as requested, I should state that I pledged £25 towards a different boardgame cafe's Kickstarter.
S.
Brilliant place, lovely atmosphere and well set up. Friendly staff, good snacks and drinks. Large range of games to play and buy aswell as knowledgable staff on hand to talk you through games you don't quite understand. Suitable for groups of friends or family.
L. J.
Decent board game cafe. Good selection of games. Clean and well spaced tables. Purely profit driven. Waitresses are rushed did not have time to explain games. Everything is an extra cost. Even some games are gated off for 2.50 extra, where other cafes its included in the price. Also cards against humanity will be extra as they shove you in another room (cube) where you have to pay for the privlage.
A. M.
I had a great afternoon here with my brother and a friend. The coffee, food, and beer were excellent. Rollie, the Games Ambassador, recommended two games that could be learned quickly and played within our time frame, and both games were really good fun. I couldn't recommend this games cafe more highly.
l.
Huge selection of games, very cosy and welcoming. For a group of friends wanting to casually play some new games, this is the place to go. A friendly member of staff (Damon) saw we were reading the rules to a new game and asked if we wanted a concise run down, which saved us a good 20 minutes! Good value for money, would definitely return.
M. M.
The cafe itself is lovely and cosy, the staff were very friendly. One of the gentleman recommended a very good game which me and my friends highly enjoyed, would definitely go back. Only criticism is that it is a bit pricey. Would be more attractive if they offered student discount or something.
A. C.
Great place to spend the day with family or friends if you love your Board Ganes.
We have a large collection at home but it psles into insignificance when you see the games here.
Definitely reserve a table as it gets very busy and plan to spend as long as you can enjoying the games on offer.
G. G.
Amazing! Lovely place with plenty of games of all types. Does lovely food and drink too and the staff are so friendly. Excellent value for money for a really enjoyable night. Highly recommended!
T. C.
Had tasty cake and tea. Staff were very helpful.
D.
Lovely cafe, friendly & helpful staff. Great way to spend an afternoon.
g.
One of a kind really. Excellent place. Good and drink selection is just what you want beside your game. And sooo many board games! But don't make other progrsms after it you will probsbly stay until late evening ;-)
I. B.
One of the better gaming cafés I've been to. The food and beverages were of good quality and it was a pleasant and spacious area. The staff were polite and helpful and I was able to sit and enjoy my meal while I designed my D&D campaign on Roll20 whilst connected to the café's wi-fi. I'd definitely go again.
H. W.
A wide selection of boardgames that will suite any taste, from quick and easy like Coup, to games that are so epic they will take 8 hours to play like twilight imperium. Food and drink is also great, milkshakes are amazing.
A. m.
A very nice place for games. Menu can be better.
D. R.
Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, really good selection of games to choose from, the drinks and nibbles are good too. The staff is approachable and knowledgeable and are always willing to help you learn the rules of any board game you might want to play
G. S.
Wonderful location, amazing staff and my what a collection. A must visit for any game lover!

Yesterday (Saturday 1st of October) we made our first visit to Ludorati in Nottingham. On arrival, we were welcomed by one of the ‘boardgame baristas’ who explained the set up and told us the benefits of free membership (10% off food, drink, and game purchases) before showing us to a table. As our drinks order was being brought over we made a few quick selections of games we wanted to try and settled in at our table for a few hours of gaming.
Generally our experience at Ludorati was good and we would definitely go back. There is a large and wide-ranging selection of games to play, conveniently arranged A-Z so you can quickly find a game by name if you already know what you want to try. The games that we tried were all in great condition with no damage to any of the boxes, components, or any missing pieces. The food and drink is very good quality and reasonably priced and the gaming areas and toilets were very clean and tidy. The tables are a decent size and the chairs comfortable. The staff were friendly although some advice on gaming selection and set up/gameplay would have been welcome. They do run dedicated sessions on particular games, however, so if you are interested in learning a specific game there’s a helpful calendar posted near the bar that shows upcoming events; this is great for anyone who is new to board gaming. There was also a 20% off all game purchases sale when we visited so combined with our 10% off for being members we made some great savings on games compared to online.
There were a few negatives, however. The busier the café got, the noisier it became and as the tables are fairly close together and there’s little in the way of soundproofing we all had to raise our voices to be heard clearly over other patrons. The double door entrance was left open for most of the day, so the noise from the traffic (and the storm) outside filtered in which didn’t help. We were also seated next to the general café area/giant chess set, so we were exposed to more noise than other tables which were further away. There was also a member of staff constantly roaming around the tables watching what people were doing which made some in our party feel uncomfortable. The pricing for a table for four hours is in line with other cafés we’ve visited around the country, although they are stricter on time at Ludorati – once you go over your initial four hours you are charged an hourly rate thereafter; other cafés we’ve been to are more flexible about letting you stay for longer without any additional charge. This does vary by café, though, and depends on how busy that particular café is at the time. However, these points didn’t spoil our day and we will definitely return for another day of great gaming.

Very nice inside, good selection of drinks (coffees, milkshakes, amazing hot chocolate, beers (bottle), wine ect.) . Over 750 boards games, mainly serious (not family games). Very helpful and friendly staff (help explain some games). Wish it did a more extensive menu though (hot food especially).
R. H.
Brilliant afternoon/ evening out with friends or family. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Good menu to choose from whilst playing the games including gluten free. Highly recommended!
F.
Came here with few of friends. They have a lot of board games available and the price is not too expensive. If you don't know how to play a game, there is always someone there to assist you. Great service, lovely staff and a lot of fun!
S. C.
Nice atmosphere and staff. Plenty of games to play x
l. k.
Good selection of games. Help if you need recommendation. Good selection of cake and hot/cold drinks. Reasonably priced. Clean. Would go again. Suitable for all ages
R. S.
Beautifully designed, modern café with one seating area for enjoying a quiet cup of coffee and another with plenty of tables to play an extensive selection of board games. A glass - enclosed area for a game called Escape the Cube is perfect for birthday parties.
S. K.
The Ludorati is a superslick place, with very attractive bar staff, a lovely range of drinks and cakes (I recommend the Oreo milkshakes). There's a massive selection of board games, and everything seems to have a "marketable" name (like The Wall, which is their library, or The Cube, which is their private room). They even have their own corporate slogan, "Relax, Enjoy, Play" and there is a clear emphasis on business - the cafe advertises services for business away-days and corporate "team building" exercises.
We decided to check out a game from the Wall(tm). It felt a little like reserving a table at a posh restaurant, as the bar-code in the game box needed to be scanned and we were shown to our table by the waitress rather than being left to.choose one. This means you're not likely to pick up extra players from the cafe as everyone will be intently playing their own things already.
We made the mistake of picking a game we were not familiar with, Village, and discovered it was quite stressful learning a game when you're paying £1.60 an hour per person to play it (up to £10 for the whole day). Our mistake though. As a Scotsman, with a reputation for being tight with money, I kept mentally checking how much we owed the cafe.
If there's anything I'd say the cafe is probably too slick for my gamer tastes - it reminds me of Goliath Books from the comedy series Black Books, where everything is just a little unnervingly too spotless and pretty. If this isn't a problem for you, add 1 or 2 stars to my rating. I just like my gamers a little scruffier, and we did remark the cafe probably works better for casual games of 1-2 hrs rather than people like ourselves who day-trip in to visit a boardgame cafe for 8-10 hrs, though some of the events they are running are often free and very interesting. It's conveniently situated if you bump into some mates in Nottingham and we'll be back (if they'll let us).
C. A.
Staff are experienced in helping you find games to suit your gaming style and how many of you are gaming. Supportive and quick to get you into game play and not at all intrusive. Fabulous selection of games and you can enjoy a beer, a coffee or even cake.
S.
Ludorati is a fantastic cafe and overall a cafe with great food, drink and board games, the prices are great and it's worth being a member.
Though they need to sell board game accessories like dice would improve there store.
T. J.
Nice little place to come for a tea or coffee, lots of board games on offer for people who are into that. Plenty of food choices and drinks on offer here, and the staff are lovely.
F. D.
Not been to play games yet but had a nice drink and cafe in the coffee area. Very attentive staff. Will definitely come back to have a games night soon!
A. A.
Nice place if you want to spend a evening playing games with friends and having fun. However, we were disappointed about the fact that we could not order anything from the food menu as they were running out of food.
G. D.
Really lovely and welcoming staff, whether you're new to board games or an expert they're always up for a chat
Also for students they give access to the cafe section as a study space for no charge, but with the 10% off drinks that membership gives you it's more than worth buying something too
M. G.
A very good night. Entertainment, group fun, nice selection of beverages and snacks, and there was no shortage in the supply of games we found here. Had everything we needed for a nice leisurely Saturday evening gaming. 👍🏼👍🏼😊
D.
Pretty cool place good drinks and a large selection of games.
V. H.
What an excellent idea. I wish there was a Ludorati closer to where I live. We played a couple of games that we knew already plus one that we hadn't seen before and had a lot of fun.
The Blueberry layer cake was rather good too.
K. M.
A really great experience for any board game lover, it's easy to sit down and play, with cheap prices for the board game sessions and good prices on games available to buy. I'm already planning my next trip down there.
B. D.
Nice coffee and good variety of reasonably priced food. Optional game hire @ £2 an hour pp which is better than buying a game you may only play once or twice. Friendly staff.
w.
Great! You can order and play couple of games free of charge and for additional £2/h you can enter other zone where you have an access to other games. Great idea for hanging out with a group of friends!
C. C.
Fantastic place to hang out with friends. Offer a great drink and snack selection too. Wide range of board games, now offering escape games, and you only pay for your time.
P. W.
The new retail area with increased stock, coupled with the member's discount that makes prices better (in many cases) than you can find online, makes Ludorati a supplier you would be crazy to ignore of you are serious about boardgames but have to be careful with money. Great place.
A. S. C.
A boardgames cafe done to a really high, professional standard. They have a great selection of games (700+), food and drink but it is more expensive than some other, more "homely" boardgames places I've been to (even with the members discount)
V. T.
Such good atmosphere. The staff is very friendly.
Wheelchair access.
Good value for money.
Good food and drinks.
Clean toilets and disable toilets.
Staff working hard and always happy to see us.
E. T.
Great place, really nice drinks and a brilliant choice of games
R. B.
This place has everything, friendly helpful staff, great choice of food and drinks (really good coffee) , and amazing selection of games. It's really refreshing to find something a bit different, Like a home from home. We'll be back.
K. J.
I always bring friends from out of town here, we love it. So much choice and knowledgeable staff. Decent food and drink.
S. W.
It's a friendly place with lots of good games to play. I like the fact that if you do not want to rent a table you could play some basic Games in the cafe area.
M. W.
Wonderful atmosphere for playing an amazing selection of board games. Staff are super friendly and are always willing to recommend and teach you how to play the games.
C. C.
Ludorati was really funny. You can visit this place for playing many boargames. You have the option to drink something like a frape, coffee o soft drinks. Additionally they have option of food like panini, sandwiches and pizza. I spent three hours, the times flight and I really enjoy the moment with friends.

[Update, 06/04/16: My review is legitimate, and while I have also posted it on the Facebook page, it has not be withdrawn by myself, but it has been responded it in, what I feel, is an unprofessional manner. It is still visible on the Ludorati page, should anyone wish to view it.
It is worth noting that the response shown underneath this review was not Ludorati's original response, which was as follows:
"Hi Steve Thanks for visiting the Cafe in our first week of operation. The senior games expert was indeed on her day off the day you visited though she is currently training our new staff on games to operate in her absence. We are trying to encourage new visitors to let us know in advance if there is assistance they specifically need. With such a large collection we decided to stock the games alphabetically for ease of finding. Games by other categorisation is very difficult to do without ending up more confusing due to the multiplicity of game mechanics, themes and genres. We are currently looking at various ways to assist gamers with choice of new games though the process is more complex than many realise. Your comment on the carrot cake alerted us to the fact that the slices were too large and pricing has since been reduced (£2.20) with better portions. Hope to see you again soon"
I feel the original response was polite, acknowledged my views and left me feeling that Ludorati were an organisation that respects the views of its customers. The new response does not do the same.
My review was written to provide a balanced view with both positive and negative points raised. To their credit, Ludorati appear to have rectified my concern about the price of some items in the cafe. I do not wish to get in to a tit for tat debate or argument, so will not continue to argue any points in this review or the responses I have received. I leave my original, and earnest review below in the hopes that potential customers can get an idea of my first time experiences at Ludorati, and that Ludorati will be able to take on-board my constructive criticism.
In the interest of full disclosure, I did back the Kickstarter campaign for another Nottingham Board Game Cafe. I do not feel this biases me against other cafes, but I will leave it to readers to decide for themselves.]
Decent game selection, but no members of staff were available to explain any games (we were told that the games expert was not working that day). This, along with no labelling on games or shelves indicating types of game, meant that my friends and I only played games we already knew and could explain to each other.
Staff on the food and drink side of things were very professional and welcoming. Food was decent enough, but a little on the pricey side (over £4 for a slice of carrot cake).
May well visit again, but I will not be a regular customer.
A. V.
Excellent selection of games for an excellent price. Great with friends, family, and nerds
R. S.
I enjoy the atmosphere at the cafe, as it is always relaxed with great staff and good food. If you fancy a board game with friends this is definitely a cafe I would recommend.
A.
Relaxed atmosphere very friendly staff. I had a milk shake which was fab and we spent an hour or so playing a game. Massive choice of games and there was a friendly expert on hand to help out.
B. P.
Me and my boyfriend visited ludorati over the Easter weekend as part of a weekend away. We are not "gamers" but loved the concept so decided to give it a go. We had coffees and Panini's both of which were delicious! Staff were very helpful regarding the gaming side of things as there was so much choice we couldn't decide! One of the staff recommended a couple of games and we went with Labrynth. It was good fun and just a totally different way to spend an afternoon. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting nottingham.
S. B.
Massive choice of games, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and comfortable chairs & tables. Food and drink available too with good choice. Highly recommend.
E. B.
Came and played games as novices with the help of the games master. Lots of choice and the games master can suggest some for you. Played some games that we'd have never picked up, but really enjoyed them. Great time had by all.
P. R.
