Sat outside with good weather. Ordered full breakfast, the fresh avocado and wake and bacon. Looked a bit better than it tasted, had some coffee as well that was ok. Good quality items but didn't quite come together. We confused the hash potatos with hash browns (hadn't seen them before) and weren't terribly excited about them. Service was decent albeit a bit slow, considering it was early and with a few customers only.

The establishment is serviced by a group of young ladies, very pleasant and tentative! The window display of cakes, pastries and bakes is very attractive …. And that’s the best.
The cappuccino was good, the hazelnut latte though served in the same cup as a cappuccino was sickly sweet. Breakfast when it came looked beautiful! I am not a fan of the bacon or hash potatoes. The pork sausage was tasty.
The Victoria sponge cake was lovely but the carrot and hazelnut cake had far too much raw cinnamon in the frosting.

Lovely place in the city centre. 3 mins walk from Lacey car park. All home made. Specials board to add variety. Quick friendly service Great latte. Free help-yourself table water. Toilets. Dine-in or outside.
UPDATE
So we came back for desserts.... Well worth it. Millionaires slice and Raspberry Bakewell and Chocolate Fudge cake particularly good.

Quick break from the shopping! I found this little gem. It's a really nice place for a spot of lunch etc. The staff was polite and helpful. Service was quick.
The picture is of the spanish harsh, which was stunning.

Really tasty homemade falafel open wrap. Just what I needed.

Good experience.
We chose here because Foxy's was busy with a queue up the street.
It was busy when we arrived so tables needed clearing and all the staff were busy but they soon caught up and got things moving. We liked the food - a full English (with some kind of potato hash) and I had a halloumi sandwich which was good.
Good latte and a nice cup of tea.
For pram and wheelchair users - it's a bit tightly packed indoors.
All in all, we have been before and will be again 😊

This was the perfect place for our girls breakfast meet. Lovely staff the atmosphere is so different comfortable and welcoming. Dessert also off the chain lol will be back!!

I would definitely recommend this place! They have an amazing breakfast, (Which is on until quite late!), the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and it's really clean!

Reasonably priced cafe in the city centre. Nice breakfast with a simple 'order at the counter when you're ready' service to suit the quick turnover of covers.

Good place for proper European breakfast. Each sandwich is served with salad.

Went during the bank holiday weekend, meaning it was super busy. It made a little difficult to get out of my seat and took a while for me to order food. But I can't call that a massive issue.
The food was really yummy, I had a cold so went for the soup of the day (carrot and coriander), so much flavour! I also had a source of Victoria sponge cake. I had to eat it quickly because it was going stale ate it had been let out of its cake cover.
Nonetheless, I'd definitely recommend it and would definitely come again.

The food here is nice...I would give it a fair rating if you wanted a quick but delicious option. It is right in the city centre so can be a perfect break whilst shopping!!

Walking in the street we saw that really cozy showcase and we decided to enter. Cake's, coffee and tea are good, delicious. The service is also friendly. The only thing is that before to enter we imagined that the inside will be as fancy as the shop, but it's not. The interior is normal, it's ok, but ot would be much better with more comfortable seats or sofas. Anyway, the important, the food is great!

I’ve have been here a couple of times and have enjoyed the food and cakes. I have always found the staff nice and helpful ☺️

Lovely little cafe staff are really friendly The breakfast is amazingly tasty the coffee is really good highly recommend a visit to this fine little cafe
T. B.
Staff were lovely and the cake looked great but unfortunately didn't taste as good as it looked.

I kinda liked it. The tables are cramped and the service is slow (Sorry but there is no denying it) but it is decent in that you get a large slice of cake and the coffee is better than Starbucks. Price is fair, coffee about £3 and cake is £4. When we compare this to other coffee places like Costa and Starbucks (heaven forbid Cafe Nero) you get a far better portion size.Toilets were unacceptable.

Had coffee twice on Sunday. 10.30am and 3pm. Lovely staff and decent coffee.
J. P.
Some of the best cake I've ever tried, and so many amazing options I didn't get to try. Will definitely be back to sample the others. Pretty good coffee too 👌
K. P.
Fab falafel n salad. Great service and attention to detail

Amazing lemon & raspberry cake! Visited today for coffee & cake..... never fails to impress.

Very busy . Lovely food great and very friendly staff. Definitely worth visiting

A nice location to people watch but odd arrangements for queuing and ordering food as there is a surprising lack of table service. Also, my questions about the menu (eg what is the soup of the day or what tart is served with the salad) were not known and involved the server having to go and ask, strangely.
The toasted cheese sandwich when it arrived was good, though.

It's fast become my favourite place for lunch in the city centre. Good food at good prices, including vegan options. The pesto pollo is my go to, but the vegan sweet Caroline is a close second.
C. M.
Coffee good, music too loud! Great for sitting outside in warm weather!!
D. B.
Cosy cafe with beautiful cakes topped with Halloween inspired purple icing.
M. E.
We only went in for a coffee, so didn't get to try any of the cakes. They did all look amazing though, so we will have to go back and try them. The staff were super friendly so we will definitely go back again.

Visited with family - we're not from the area but The Kitchen was amazing! The staff were really nice and helpful, and all of them very friendly. Everyone said hello etc even if someone else was serving.
The drinks we had were lovely and my partner had a cake which he said was really nice.
We all commented about how nice it was afterwards.
C. W.
Friendly service with decent coffee. The interior is, refreshingly, not over the top but very clean and bright. Recommend going on a quiet midweek morning!

Stopped off for a late breakfast/early lunch on a recent visit to Nottingham and found this place by chance. Glad we did, lovely breakfasts (traditional and vegan) and good service.
R. A.
My third time here, and always happy with my breakfast meals.
a. m.
Excellent choice of cakes, good coffee and free wifi
B. M.
Menu quite varied with many vegan and vegetarian options. I went for the falafel and salad on an open wrap which was tasty but somewhat hard to manage on what was quite a small table.
The food took half an hour to arrive during which we were sitting on uncomfortable wooden seats with no cushions. Ok but I won't be rushing back there.
x.
Friendly staff, great variety of food and a modern fresh space. I had a coffee and full English breakfast and can't recommend more. Food was good quality and coffee was delicious. Will be back to try the cakes!
W. R.
tasty and fresh deli food with plenty of variety and choice, especially when it comes to brunch items. perfect place to go for a relaxing weekend brunch though it can get filled up pretty quickly so plan your trip accordingly
S. S.
I had a tea cake and a vegan milkshake so nothing to exciting but it was all lovely. My waitress was really friendly and the variety of vegan food was a really welcome change.
Keep up the good work.

Loved the vegan sandwich..will visit again
K. S.
Nice little cafe with a variety of breakfast/lunch food. Had a good proportion of meaty, veggie and vegan options. It's a bit of a tight squeeze if you're looking to take a pram or wheelchair though
A. H.
It's ok, has a weird damp smell where we sat. Great banana bread and friendly staff - nearly a 5 just not quite
K. W.
I am here every week! Great, friendly staff, gorgeous food with gluten free and vegan choices and plenty of it! Always willing to try to accommodate food preferences.

Cakes to die for and very lovely sausage and egg cobs, when you haven't the time/energy to make your own! 🤗👌🤗
B. F.
It was a bit of a let down. The room was cold and plaster had fell off the wall. The bench is wobbly and the kitchen area has no door so all the food being scraped off plates it's quite deafening. The Kuban Sandwich was ok, nothing to write home about
F. H.
Never thought I'd come back because service was SOOOO slow my first visit.
As it is I decided to give it a second chance - and very pleased I did.
Quick service, and v pleasant staff.
Lovely x
