As a bubble tea hunter, this one is so far the best tea in UK. The tea is real and authentic. Big plus is providing seat with quiet environment. The service is also nice and polite, not rude at all as the other comments state.

Went to try some quality tea + tapioca pearls in Oxford and was not disappointed! The owner is extremely generous and allowed for us to sample every flavor of kombucha on tap, which was wonderful. I found that the teas were expertly prepared with boba that was also homemade, giving the tapioca the coveted Q texture. I can undoubtedly say that this shop provides some of the best milk tea with tapioca I have tried outside of Taiwan!

Lovely and cosy atmosphere with a nice seating area, which is now open! The owner is very passionate about what he does. The teas, most if not all, are tasty, natural, and home-made. A great local shop. My fav is warmed jasmine green tea with milk. And the extra pearls are free! Highly recommended!

Their teas are nicely selected which better than several famous brands in Taiwan. In addition, bubbles are boiled in perfect timing. Normal sweet is fine and no need to be reduced even you do not have sweet tooth.

Was just here after a tiring day and it made me happy. Moment I walked in the man at the counter offered me four different samples of tea (all of which were brilliant). I had the Golden Milk which is milk w brown sugar and it was absolutely amazing, the pearls were soft and chewy and the sweetness was good (I asked for 75%). Will certainly frequent before and after classes because having tried other bubble tea places in Oxford this place is very much the best..!!!

That's the authentic beautiful taste of Taiwan that you can get here. All authentic, even the interior design and equipment is originally imported from Taiwan. I very much enjoyed Lemon juice with pearls and Oulong tea with lemon juice and pearls. Here you can find both hot and cold beverages.

It's located down an alley so slightly hard to find, but it's worth it, this is really good quality tea and it's a cool place to come and hang out or bring a laptop and do some work. My girlfriend loved it, and she is Taiwanese so she knows about bubble tea 😁

I’m by no means a bubble-tea expert but Formosan was the first place I had bubble tea from back in 2016 (it was one of the few bubble tea places in Oxford then) and I’ve been going there regularly ever since. The staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable, their recommendations are always great and if you are not familiar with their menu they will do their best to guide you through it. I don’t have a favourite bubble tea and usually go with whatever seems best on the day but as a general suggestion would recommend their lemon-bases options as a refreshing summer drink and their milk-based options for the winter. They serve bubble tea both warm and cold but I always go for the cold option. If I had to pick a favourite, the ones I got for most often are the baked Oolong tea (OMP) from the milky options and the Jasmine green tea (GLP) from the lemony options. So far the only tea I have tried and not liked was the crushed almonds special tea (AMP) but this was very much a matter of personal preference as the tea was really well made as always. One of their products that does not get enough recognition is their kombucha which they make themselves - it is better than anything you will buy in a store so do give it a try (if you are not familiar with their options they usually allow tasting before you buy) Finally, the atmosphere and internal decor in Formosan is one of it’s main assets: the interior is calming, the decoration is very elegant, and soothing music plays in the background making it feel like you are entering another world. Seating is not available at the moment due to restrictions but once they allow it the bar is a wonderful alternative to the business and noisiness of Oxford cafes Only compliments and appreciation from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lactose/vegan friendly! They use real Taiwanese tea and organic milk but I substituted with soy milk. I was worried that it would taste off with soy but it tasted just right! Location: be aware it is a very hidden cafe down a narrow alleyway. What a lovely place. Feels like a discovery of a secret place. They have four main teas and I tried the Jasmine tea with lemon and pearls. I sat in a quiet space with traditional seating. Really delicious and peaceful.

This is very traditional Taiwanese bubble tea spot, the teas are not super sweet like the commercial places. Quite nice, but some teas might be a little to strong or bitter so I would definitely state your likes and dislikes. There is also a lovely tea room, where you take your shoes off and sit on the floor around a low table. Overall a lovely place, great calming vibes. The young lady that served us was very sweet and helpful.

The best place for bubble tea in Oxford by far! Other places make the tea far too sweet. The guys at Formosan are always very friendly and the quality of the tea is excellent. They also serve kombucha made with various teas that are all delicious! The matcha bubble tea is extra delicious. It takes a little while longer to make but is worth the wait!

If you want authentic, yummy bubble tea. Take the time to walk into the alley to the world of formosan. The pearls are super soft, the flavors and super real and the flavor is just right! The staff are super nice, and take the time to explain the products (I got to taste all the kombucha!). Don’t miss out this bubble tea shop hidden in the end of a small lane. As it was my first visit, the staff offered me a taste of four different types of tea drinks before I made the purchase. They are very flexible about the drink recipe. You can order very personalized drinks, such as adjusting the degree of sweetness and mixing up pearls and jellies together. Although the place is not particularly spacious, there are some nice Japanese style seatings. It’s good for take-away drinks and equally suitable for pastime afternoon tea. It would be perfect if the price is lower. They have a layaway card system, which suits locals the best.

Fantastic little shop in an alley serving hot or cold teas with vaguely expensive prices (ranging from 3.25 to 5.15, 10% off with loyalty card). This is no ordinary Starbucks though - has a great little Oriental study room in the back which remains open until half an hour before the shop shuts (and is very busy on the weekends). One of the sweetest non library places for Brooks or Oxford uni students to revise in my opinion

Best bubble tea in Oxford by a long shot. No weird flavors and gloopy boba like some of the high-street shops, just proper Taiwanese teas and perfectly balanced flavors. It's on the higher-end price wise (although not the most expensive in Oxford) but well worth the extra few pence. Swinging by for takeaway has been a highlight of our lockdown walks recently.
