Just enjoyed a delicious pizza, served on a slate board... Such a good idea! Pizza tasted amazing!! Pulled pork, cherry tomatoes and crispy onions! Yum. The hosts were friendly and attentive! Took some cake home for later. Will definitely be returning 😊

Coffee Hive is relatively new in terms of coffee shop scene in Peterborough but they are quickly becoming a favourite of many - and for a good reason! The place itself is relatively small but offers seating inside and out. They sell a lot of items by local artists like plant hangers and hand-made cards. The whole shop is very much “green” and sustainability driven which is amazing to see in Peterborough. There wasn’t a time when I went where I didn’t feel welcome - the staff are an absolute delight, so friendly and chatty. Nothing’s too much trouble. Coffee offering is quite standard in comparison to other coffee shops in the area however worth noting that they do use freshly roasted beans from a small roastery which you can also buy when you visit. The coffee is well extracted, latte art is on point and there’s always a good selection of cakes to have as well. This is definitely one of my go-to’s in Peterborough and I would absolutely recommend visiting.

Fabulous coffee shop and a fabulous owner. The best place in Peterborough. Pete is clearly very passionate about what he does and about his customers and it really shows. This is probably the best coffee at Peterborough if you want to have a good coffee. The guy who works there is really welcoming and chatty. The environment is nice and the most important of all you can drink coffee and have a piece of cake after 5pm which was amazing for us. You can also have other drink and alcohol. We are going back for sure!

Stopped by after a long run because I couldn’t resist the smell of delicious coffee and quaintness of the shop. I was not disappointed! Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!!!! The owner and his crew provide amazing service, are super friendly and always accommodating! The food and drinks are impeccable love love love the brownies. Day or night the atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. Can’t get enough of the place!! Thank you Coffee Hive for your unique touch to Peterborough! Now people I thoroughly recommend that you treat yourself to a luxurious smooth vanilla latte topped with cream (or whatever version takes your fancy) accompanied by their scrumptious brownie and enjoy while you sit back and get lost in the art surrounding you!

Had a wonderful chocolate and ginger cake and my son really enjoyed his Bueno cookie/brownie. Lovely coffee and super friendly staff. This is a really cool little privately owned business. The owner is fantastic, super nice and really into good coffee. They have cool stuff going on here like a box for sharing compliments, free fruit and other random stuff. Their coffee is smooth and tasty. This is my go to place for good coffee when I visit Peterborough from now on!

Went for a coffee with my mum and sister today (20/01) the guy who served me was very welcoming and polite and the cappachino's and coffee cake was lovely and hot ! Which is great because so many times I order a coffee from other places and it's only warm so you have to drink it within 5 mins or it's cold, will definitely go their again. Ps; dogs are allowed in, which is great.

I don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review, I go all the time. This place is amazing. The coffee is incredible; they have cakes and curiosities from local businesses and artists and the location is perfect (free parking everywhere). They also originally opened two days before Lockdown 1, so help them thrive. Plus their Insta is funny. If you want well-priced, delicious coffee served by some of the friendliest faces in Peterborough then here you go. Go. I mean it. Now! Go get a coffee now!

Really good coffee! I am a very fussy coffee person, but this is GOOD. Local owners, making lovely cakes and bread and now open evenings too. A local coffee shop where chat starts between people who don’t know each other - good old fashioned friendliness. Off to try the Pizza on Friday evening. If it’s as good as the cake, may have to reconsider my diet. It’s just so nice to have such a lovely local!

Easily the best coffee in Peterborough, with the best service! Don't bother with Costa, Starbucks, just get a proper coffee at a better price from Pete at The Coffee Hive. I recommend the cherry hot chocolate... and if you are feeling fancy add a shot of whiskey! Food back on in a few days and I CANNOT WAIT! Proper made to order food, no takeaway rubbish!

You could not find a better place in Peterborough for a coffee and a bite to eat. Late opening on a Friday and Saturday and they are licensed! The interior is a delight with work from local artists adorning the walls. It has an easy going, very friendly atmosphere and you are welcomed with a smile and made to feel like family. The food and coffee is locally sourced, they are very ethically focused with vegan and dairy free options costing the same as regular options! I highly recommend the Coffee Hive.

Came here on my lunch break, and the service was amazing, delivered with a smile, coffee and cakes were great, lovely homely atmosphere, they also sell some really beautiful art. And not to mention so much cheaper than high street coffee brands. I’ve worked in management at high street coffee shops for a good few years and all corporate cared about was money, this business is clearly about passion and love and it’s so refreshing to see! Sack off your high street coffee and come here! You honestly won’t regret it.

5 Stars thoroughly deserved…The guys have all fed me throughout this week (decorating next door)and I can easily recommend any of the panini’s or brioche offering’s at lunchtime…(highly recommend the Cuban or Felafel) the coffee and staff are great…give it a go id be surprised if you we’re disappointed.

Absolutely the best coffee in Peterborough, forget you big chains, these people really deliver. Alongside that they have beautiful cakes alongside other hot drinks. On top of that they sell artisan products by local makers and artists. The service is always friendly. I wish I was rich so I could go more often.

Friendly & good service, what more do you want?? This is my second visit to the Coffee Hive. It is a 'small but perfectly formed' cafe serving the usual coffee offerings, along with various traybake-style cakes, flapjacks & brownies, which are tasty & a great complement to the beverages on offer. I had a soya flat white coffee & coffee cake (as if it wasn't enough of a coffee hit!), for £4.50. The previous time I was there, 2 different coffees & 2 different cakes came to £11.00 Despite it being the last day it was on offer, the coffee cake was available before a new similar baked version would arrive, it was still a nice addition to my coffee & it was an enjoyable accompaniment to my drink. Friendly staff, & great offerings to eat and drink made it an enjoyable stop
