Update: just came back here for food and to try the escape room. Food was great and escape room was excellent, highly recommend both. Lovely coffee shop, great and friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Building up a good board games selection but also nice for lunch or just a quick coffee. We came here with friends and would come back even though we live quite far away. If you tell them in advance they'll make sure they have gluten free bread so I had a lovely gf cheese toastie and a gf cake which was really good. We had a variety of hot and cold drinks there was loads of choice. Would recommend, much nicer and cosier than a chain coffee shop. Stayed for about 3 hours and had lunch, cake and a few drinks. Never felt rushed and staff were very attentive.

Can't thank the staff at the coffee tavern enough for helping me with my diva of a dog this morning. Me and my husband love bringing her to the cafe and she loves it so much we cannot walk past without her dragging us in. She will even wait at the door if they are closed. This morning I was on a tight deadline and she was adamant on having a puppychino. She would not leave so the staff helped with treats and trying to get her to move. In the end the staff come outside so she would follow and they said goodbye. Great service and love the staff at this cafe. My dog is proof it's the place to go x

This is exactly what Whittlesey needed. Great place to have a nice cup of coffee, nice cakes or a milkshake for reasonable price. Children and dogs friendly. 🙂 Staff was nice and polite. Definitely a place to visit again and again and again...

Always a comfortable experience in Coffee Tavern, staff exceptionally kind and helpful. A good selection of nibbles and I can hang out with my Dog Zeb who loves the place more than me because he gets spoilt 😀

Pleased to see the old bank being used again! Inside looks great as a coffee shop with tables and also some comfie sofas. Had a lovely coffee and cake and prices reasonable, maybe a little high for cakes and they seemed to be generic mass produced ones. Would be good to see you get a local baker involved so they are homemade as such. Staff lovely. One comment and it's just a bit of constructive criticism, in no way a complant. The tables weren't being cleared when people were leaving meaning new people were arriving at a table full of cups. Maybe just have a quicker process to clear and clean? Lots of people coming and going and I hope it stays that way!

I popped in for a cold drink yesterday and chose a caramel iced latte, service was very fast, staff were lovely and it was the best caramel iced latte I’ve ever had. Have told all my friends and family to visit!
