Went into the café after seeing my father in laws ashes scattered from a boat just off the rocks at Bovisands. We took over the cafe, with all the family members that turned up, and the food was lovely and very reasonably priced. The staff were great and hopefully didn't mind us taking so many seats. Thank you and we will be back again soon for some more lovely meals but not so many of us next time 😋🌞😋

This cafe has an excellent location and fantastic views. They have even provided binoculars for their patrons to use as they look out over the breakwater. The staff are friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The whole cafe is clean and nicely decorated. They have a decent menu of basic staples and sandwiches/ panninis as well as offering baked potatoes with various toppings/fillings. There is also a selection of cakes to go with coffees and teas. They also do breakfasts/all day breakfasts which I assume are cooked from scratch from fresh ingredients, although we didn't try these as for once we felt like something else. (Scrambled egg is apparently an option at a small extra cost (50p) The icecream selection is good, not simply a "standard" freezer full of Walls basics. The food is reasonable and comes in decent portion sizes. It makes a good stop on a walk or for lunch with a view. Only two things that took this.from 5 star to 4 star: The kids food was served in a box (like a happy meal). Ideal for takeaway, but not so useful when eating in... The chips were from frozen chips. They were, fortunately, fried which made a difference. They were certainly hot, but not "proper" chips. The fish (for the fish and chips) was not fresh fish. It seemed to be the pre-prepared frozen battered fillets. Not as tasty as some unfortunately, but OK. The pizza twist was also a little bland, despite being pepperoni. I certainly understand that for a small cafe at the end of the high season it can be difficult to provide home cooked food from fresh ingredients but this was, IMHO, a missed opportunity.

I rarely comment on experience in cafes etc. But today we had very enjoyable lunch at Cafe Bovisands, baked potato with brie and cranberry was excellent. Extremely pleasant friendly staff,we also enjoyed a delicious coffee (latte). The view is a bonus. Good value. Would recommend.

The cafe was lovely for its staff and its dog friendly status. However it cost us £4 just to park in a private carpark (not cafe owned) , and then we were not allowed on the grass area or beach with our dog, so unfortunately we will be unlikely to return to this lovely cafe.

Just came back from my Hols from The Campus of the same name adjacent to the cafe. All I can say is amasing. Food really good. All the staff very friendly. View speaks for itself. A really worthwhile experience.

Looking for breakfast by Bovisand beach early Friday morning on a lousy day, howling wind and wet, Cliffedge Cafe on the other side said they weren't open until 10a.m. It was 9.15a.m. at the time. The guy told me to go over to the caravan park cafe as they would open earlier (before 10a.m.). Drove across with some interesting single lane traffic passing. More reversing than going forward! Eventually arrived at Bovisand Cafe just before 10 anyway. The window said in 3 days they would start opening at 10a.m. Implying they opened earlier before. But the new opening times shouldn't kick in until 3 days time. It has already as it seems. Bit more lie-in for the staff on a lousy day I suppose. Who doesn't like? The 3 of them were very sociable. Feels like a close knit, small family business rather than your usual corporate mechanical greeting at the usual McDonald's or KFC and alike. I ordered an omelette over an usual English breakfast as I'd been fed with such for the previous 3 days. Man, so many eggs in it, it felt almost like a quiche. Did me nicely. The chef guy was delighted I mopped up every last bit of salad and everything on the plate. The sea view would've been impressive if it wasn't for the driving rain blurring the windows. Still atmospheric on a miserable day. Nice to have the whole cafe to myself with 3 friendly staff.

Great place for a drink. Gorgeous setting with lovely views. Homemade cakes makes it extra special especially the brownies at only £1.20 each. Staff very friendly. Only criticism was the coffee was a bit too weak and milky for our taste
