Lovely little cafe just next to ferry port. Smelt amazing and with 25 minutes until next ferry order a takeout of a 4 breakfast baps and baguettes although unfortunately took 35 minutes so had to wait for the next ferry. Would suggest keeping in mind if you expect a faster service. This all said the food was great!

Our first visit, very enjoyable overall. Bit perplexed that they didn't take a card... why wouldn't you? Good food, prices that take some beating... the minor negative, if anything, I would say that the decor could do with some furnishings that soften the sound of the chairs scraping the hard floor as people arrived/got up to order/ went to pay/ talked.

Went for first time a week or so ago with my client in his large wheel chair. We both really enjoyed the food but did miss the "cash only" bit on doing my homework. That aside really good experience.

This cafe is nothing if not consistent. It is renowned for producing great, well-cooked food at very good prices. The breakfast menu (available all day) offers a broad range of breakfasts from the smallest of appetites to, frankly, the gut-busting! And most of the breakfasts are available for vegetarians, which makes a very pleasant change. If you enjoy a decent, honest full English, including veggie options with Quorn sausages, then you can't beat this place. If you prefer something other than a breakfast, they do a range of other options too. The only drawback to this place is that the noise levels can get a bit high when it is busy. There are a lot of hard surfaces for the noise to bounce off without much to deaden the sound.

Loved being there with my friends. Used to go regularly many years ago whilst working. Not a bad brekky but wouldn't go again. Sausages, hogs pudding and white pudding were absolutely tasteless and obviously the cheapest tat they can buy. Such a shame. Elviras, please do better and invite me back again. Not all of want the cheapest breakfast, but the best. Also, for me, I like toast, not hot bread - leave it on a little longer please. But the staff were nice, thank you ladies.

Great place for a fried breakfast. I phoned ahead to place my order to reduce a waiting time upon pickup. I've only given 4 stars as my order wasn't correct, I asked for an extra egg with no mushrooms on one breakfast, but this wasn't delivered upon collection and I was charged extra. The food, however was wonderful and very much enjoyed by my family and I. Thank you, Elvira's.

Atmosphere wasn't great, bit dull and boring inside. Bacon and brie panini was good. Coffee was good, burger wasn't good. The cash only / PayPal / bank transfer payment method is a pain, it's 2021... Time to get a card machine.

Have been enjoying the excellent breakfasts and take away service of Elviras for a couple of years now. During the lockdown have been using the takeaway service, the food being superb and very reasonably priced. Excellent bacon and sausage baguettes. Can’t wait for the sit down service to resume. It’s great that this local business has been supported during the pandemic and long may it continue (Elviras, that is!)

Down to earth honest food. I come for lunch regularly when I need no nonsense food and a break from work. Parking is a bit tricky but I usually try the Devils Point carpark first and then the car park just opposite the cafe. It's rare that you can't find anywhere at all but if it happens they do a great breakfast bap to take away. Be aware that it is cash, PayPal or bank transfer only, no card payments. Right next to the Cremyl ferry to Mount Edgcumbe.

Lovely little cafe, really conveniently located next to Cremyll Ferry. I visited on a cold Saturday afternoon and had a sausage and egg bap, coffee and slice of flatjack. The food was warm, service was quick and friendly (which is what I was looking for) but for the price I would expect slightly better quality.

The food and service were excellent as usual. Unfortunately half way through my breakfast a customer entered with two large dogs. The seating area is not large and I find this unhygienic in today's climate. Why I should have to share a small space with animals whilst I am eating I do not find desirable. I have been to this establishment on a few occasions but this is the first time this has happened.

What an amazing establishment. If you want a posh place to eat this is not it. The decor and flooring is somewhat in need of doing. However if you can look past that then you have a cafe that is right next to the ferry, great tasting ingredients, portion sizes to make an obese guy smile and prices to make a tramp happy. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. No wonder it's busy (but the waiting time is no different to any other cafe). More importantly they are dog friendly!!!! So no need to tie your pooch up outside. This is my go to place for brekkie. May this place be here always. I cannot recommend and praise this establishment enough. If you haven't been here yet then what are you waiting for. GO NOW!!

Elvira's cafe is one of the places that you could never find if you stuck to the main tourist areas or Plymouth. It's a local cafe or local people. It calls itself a cafe but it's not is coffee that makes it brilliant. It's the food. If you fancy having a good hearty breakfast, this is the place for that. You can't buy a breakfast for less anywhere in Plymouth. I regret that I can't go as offen as I like. You should definitely go. The food is good. Service is relatively quick unless its busy, which it offen is.

Elvira's serves quality food and is excellent value for money. Nice and clean and dog friendly, and located at the top of the slip way used by the cremyll ferry giving ready access to Mount Edgcumbe. Free parking if you are lucky enough to get a space in the fairly large car park. Walking distance to the Royal William Yard, Devil's Point.
