Such a great wee cafe to sit and read, chat with friends or look out the window. The grilled sourdough sandwich I had was really tasty and filled me up. All the staff were very kind and attentive. My food and drink only came to £7.20

I kept getting told about how nice to have breakfast was at this place, I finally got there and had the most splendid smashed avocado on soda bread toast with pine nuts and rocket salad with balsamic dressing. It was better than that place in Australia that I used to get it from, it is literally the best place in the world to get an avocado breakfast. For me in scored 5 out of 5 1. Great coffee 2. Amazing food 3. Clean toilet 4. Friendly staff 5. Accessible entrance I'm definitely going there again

Amazing food and coffee just seemed a bit of a let down when it come to customer service. One of the members of staff was very rude and almost annoyed that she was in the job or dealing with customers. The place had a good vibe although it seemed to be based mainly on regulars and going in for the first time things were not explained properly I.e QR code menus etc. This place also books tables and does get busy so it would be best to book.

Love the eclectic look of this coffee shop/restaurant. The large decaf cappuccino was excellent and the toasted teacake beautifully presented. The food on the menu looked delicious. Definitely planning a return trip.

Loved my visit to this cafe today, a friendly relaxed atmosphere, brilliant prices for breakfast and excellent service from staff. One of the best I’ve visited so far in Plymouth the only downsides are that it doesn’t open earlier than 9am and it was a little chilly inside

Absolutely amazing food (I had the hummus and cauliflower pittas), delicious coffee and eye-watering cakes (we shared the honeycomb tiffin and vegan flapjack). Lovely staff that were friendly and chatty. It's a well decorated shop with lovely features, beautiful plants, old books and comfy sofas. I've been recommended to come many times, but was never able to make it. Glad to have finally made it and will be sure to make a stop whenever I visit Plymouth!

I have ordered from here twice now via Deliveroo. And am honestly blown away by the quality! Fresh ingredients, and despite it being delivered...the presentation is perfect! I LOVE places that offer different styles of breakfast than just a ''fry up'' and Prime Cafe really has a nice & Different selection of items! Portion size and price are good. I think due to the great selection, this is my new Fave brunch spot! Leading me away from BTP! ;-) Keep up the quality work.

A beautiful cafe that serves equally beautiful food, a great place to go and read a book or do some work. Really tasty food and the coffee is top notch, they definitely have spent some time perfecting their coffee. I've been both in store and ordered on deliveroo, and both times the food/drinks were A**! (Their deliveroo food/drink was hot and superior to all coffee chains ive ordered for delivery...perhaps costa/starbucks should take some notes.)

The only place in Plymouth to have some quality coffee and food. Try the iced espresso and the excellent vegan cakes! The brunch was good as well. All the girls/ladies working there are very polite. Prices are reasonable for their service. Lovely place that I already miss.

I would highly recommend Prime Cafe Bar. My husband and I visited today. The staff are lovely and the food is SO good - incredible flavours and combinations which go very well together. They serve tasty genuine, real food - no horrible grease here! The staff obviously care about the quality of the food they serve and it shows.

I love going here to study, catch up with friends, whatever really. It's often busy so holds a nice café atmosphere. I can't vouch for the food, but the coffee is pretty good. They also give you discounts for using a reusable coffee cup. One of my 'Go to' coffee places.

Really nice retro feel to the interior, the staff are helpful and friendly. The menu is just right for this kind of venue with a good mix of dishes. I have never been served anything but fresh well cooked food. Other cafés could learn from here as they put the customer first and not expect the customers to fit in with what is convenient for the cafe.

Lovely place! Beautiful food, drink and seating arrangements. The staff are friendly. The atmosphere feels relaxed and I go there for board gaming meet-ups on fortnightly evenings. As a ovo-veggie, I appreciate that there are vegan and gluten free cake, treat and milk options - so I can indulge easily in tasty treats if I have some cash to spare :-) They do proper food like sandwiches there too, which the menu rotates for regularly (although I've never had a meal there so I can't review that aspect, but I'm awake of the option).

These people make one of the best coffees I have ever had in my life (I particularly recommend the cappucino). They offer dairy free alternatives (oat & soy milk as far as I can tell). I haven't tried the food but it has looked and smelled amazing on every ocassion I have been here. The decor is really lovely with very comfy seating and I'm not sure if this is a regular thing but they were providing free apples at the counter. The staff are really lovely too.

Absolutely lovely place. The entrance is from the main street. Been passing this in the summer and winter as well and you can always see people inside. Food is great at a resonable price. We ate a spicy dish and a typical english breakfast which was adjusted with more eggs and bacon. Inside predominates a wood theme, music is also great and can be enjoyed on the sofas they have available along side the table and chairs. If you would like to sit outside be aware that the tables are very close to the pavement and the road which is very circulated as this location is opposite the Drake Circus mall. Parking is difficult to find so a good option will be to look for one on the secundary streets. Leave a 👍🏻 if you found this review useful.

Amazing cafe - brilliant coffee and tasty food with a varied and changing menu. The art on the wall is as eclectic as the customer base. Feels like you’re sat in Shoreditch rather than Plymouth.

Clean bright ambience. Engaging, polite and helpful staff. Coffees are strong and hot. Excellent. Shakshuka and Mackerel breakfasts true to style and the eggs runny and perfectly formed. Steady stream of customers for drop in drinks. Free help yourself water. Getting better! Excellent meeting place for people getting together. Love the shop fit out. Suggest the Shakshuka have roasted Auvergne added to the recipe and both meals should have a garnish like watercress or micro herbs. Well worth a visit.

Always enjoyed coffee on the verandah, but inside, you get a good feel for just how nicely decorated the place is. Sun still reaching good quality wooden tables. Tried the food for once. Perfectly poached egg, crispy bacon (pick it up crispy) and spicy butter-beans were so delicious on fresh bread. Lovely, accommodating staff and Alexi Murdoch playing in the background. Perfect #2 years on....still very impressed with the environment/food/coffee/service. Attentive and helpful (help finding a table) smiling staff. Kofte main was so delicious. (Old) Bonobo playing. On Friday 21-06-2019 I was out with my grandchildren aged 2 and 4 when my granddaughter was desperate to use the toilet, we went into the Good Coffee Headquarters , and I asked if my granddaughter could use their facilities , to my amazement the member of staff said no as we were not customers remember my granddaughter is 4 years old , I left that establishment in disgust , i will never return. We walked up the road to the Prime Cafe Bar where we were welcomed , I asked if my granddaughter could use their facilities , and without hesitation OF COURSE SHE CAN was the response , I would like to thank the staff for being so friendly and helpful , that’s what gets you noticed , I will certainly return as often as I can MANY THANKS AGAIN

Prime Café Bar or Poirot's The Detective Fiction Café, 48 Ebrington Street, Plymouth PL4 9AD, I suggest a new name for Prime Café Bar, Poirot's because the detective's name is part of our south Devon heritage, after Agatha Christie's creation. Those tempting books and Prime's leather armchairs, too, are just where Poirot may have met his famous counterpart, Maigret. Maigret had just sailed over to Plymouth from France on the afternoon ferry, while Poirot, naturally, took the 4:50 from Paddington. By 9 o'clock they were settled in over dinner to discuss the case. 'Leek soup as a starter?' asked Poirot. The plot, like the soup, thickens…
