After a fabulous time in Plymouth my train home was scheduled for Mid day and I was looking for someplace to have breakfast and I wanted to pick somewhere overlooking the sea. So I picked the Terrace. My choice for breakfast was the Terrace English breakfast. It was very tasty the egg and small pieces bacon was cooked nicely. The Sausage was juicy and it was great to be given a decent sized portion of baked beans. The view overlooking the sea is incredible and as it was a sunny day it couldn't of gotton any better. The staff are well mannered , friendly to talk to and the wait time wasn't that long either. Overall I had a really good experience and I am so glad I picked this fabulous location known as the Terrace.

Today we went to the Terrace for breakfast and have a meeting. It was my first time at the Terrace, I've walked past it for years living in Plymouth but never stopped. Breakfast was fantastic and the views over the sound are beautiful.

We come here most sunday mornings for a peaceful coffee, The staff are always friendly & the coffee is great with a lovely view too! They had some issues with the card machine today and the lady in charge very kindly let us have our drinks for less as we didn't have enough cash which was really nice of her. We look forward to coming again next week 😊

First time I visited here happened to be during the Sail GP event. The service was very good and the pizza I had from here was incredible. Good choice of drinks and food. Lots of little birds that are keen to beg for some of your food but that adds to the coastal feeling of this place. Will be visiting again!

Got there about 11am. They only do their breakfast menu up to 12am....fair enough. Swapped avocado and poached eggs on toast for beans. Was nice if a little expensive at £6.50. Total bill just over £15 for this plus a toasted tea cake and two latte's.

We come here quite often, these photos are from the summer when it's a lovely time to sit here and look out to sea while lounging in the sunshine. But we've also been here at bonfire night when we had some lovely food. Sometimes service can be a little slow but that's when is very busy, so understandable.

Had a lovely breakfast yesterday morning. My little dog sat on the chair next to me. A member of staff with the biggest smile greeted me. She even got water for my dog. The breakfast was yummy. The only felt I could find was the concrete paving could do with a power wash.

Reggae night with DJs, live bands, amazing food and good drinks, on an outdoor terrace overlooking Plymouth How. The evening was very well organised and the venue boasts incredible sea views. I really enjoyed it here, despite the unseasonably low temperatures.

Me and my wife stumbled on this place on a Saturday evening stroll. We were attracted by the impressive view across the sea, and some quality house music being played by a DJ, which is refreshing when a lot of other bars on the Barbican tend to go with the more commercialised club sound. We were served at a table by friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of seating with heaters, and a nice relaxed vibe, with room to dance up front. We only stayed for a drink as we'd just got there when they'd stopped serving food, but we'll definitely be back when we get the chance.

Good service. Excellent views of the harbour and the Lido. Afternoons you have a basking sun on the tables, a tasty glass of beer, champagne or wine, giving you a relaxing time, and the cafe own calming Reggae songs. I would avoid afternoons with strong winds, as tables very exposed to the weather. Come early for an English breakfast. For parking, plenty available up the Cliffs, on Madeira road? Great views over the Hoe small seating area toilets are down steps as they are the public ones - update 07/12/2019 there is now a ladies toilet and the bar area has been updated - a different coffee bean is now being served but unfortunately not as nice

Lovely spot right next to the water. Cafe has quite a few tables so despite the fact that we came at the busy lunch time, we had no problems finding a table. We had a nice coffee and panini with s side of chips. It was yummy. Friendly staff too :)

We were fortunate enough to get a table at The Terrace yesterday, to celebrate my Father's birthday. The food was delicious (and great to see "OAP" portions, so no food wasted), and worth the wait, as the atmosphere there is friendly and gently bustly. The staff came across as happy and helpful, despite them being very busy. The view reminded me of how lucky we are to live in an area like this. We weren't rushed so was able to soak up the atmosphere. It was just the kind of get together we needed. Thank you.

The view was amazing, the food was adequate, even if I ended up with errant cheese in my fries. Most staff were professional and courteous, our waitress (a seemingly lovely lady with dreads) however, didn't fall into either description. After initially getting the order wrong, when our food arrived and wasn't what had been ordered, she chose to manage us, rather than even attempt an apology.

The Terrace never cease to amaze me. They have such welcoming staff, fantastic food and the best views in Plymouth. We have been regulars for many years. Sean, Lloyd and the team are all lovely. They also have a new manager (Mel) who is fantastic, quick to the mark and very efficient with ensuring the team are fast and things get done. We have watched the staff change over the years and they always stay consistent with the quality. They appreciate feedback, and honor their regulars as well as welcome new faces with lovely wide smiles and great service. Not to mention the selection of live music and DJs they provide whilst looking out at the beautiful views. Lots of vegan options too. 100% recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It's a fantastic place! Incredible views over Plymouth Sound, great for watching ships go by and enjoying the sunset. We went along to see a live band, a local group, Andy Quick, who were great. Drinks took a little time, but with the amount of tables and only table service, staff (plenty in numbers) coped well. We were quite satisfied with the food we ordered. The falafel and humus salad was very tasty (though a disappointing moment to find the falafel was not hot), as were the whitebait and the anchovie pizza. Despite a full house the food came reasonably quickly. And as it was very busy, they made all efforts to please the customers and extended food ordering times a great deal. I'll definitely return and can only recommend the place.

what can I say...?well... after day out in Plymouth and visiting some places..."on the other side " of the harbour... The Terrace was like an oasis... it was chilled, it was fun, it was great, epic, amazing and EVERYONE ..and I mean EVERYONE WAS SMILING... EVERYONE THERE WAS HAPPY, POSITIVE AND SUPER NICE!!! I've ordered two pizzas for me and my kiddo, and some drinks, and the staff and owners were just amazing!! we didn't have a place to sit, so they've magically got us a table ..vip one heheh;) and a chair and we had a great evening with delicious pizza, nice cold pint and upbeat, positive music..yep they had a DJ...SO WHEN IN PLYMOUTH ... DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE..JUST HEAD STRAIGHT TO ..THE TERRACE..:)

Delicious food and lovely place. Had to wait an hour for food which is fair enough on a bank holiday weekend, although I feel like it didn't need to be this long of a wait. There was 1 member of staff trying to take orders, payments AND do hot/cold drinks, while the rest of the staff seemed to be standing around on their phones..... Overall though, a lovely place to eat!

I have to agree with other reviews. They say location is everything and if you are unlucky that is the best you'll get while waiting too long for a drink or food. I have been a regular customer for a few years and since it reopened from lockdown it is very hit and miss. It depends who is running the shift from my observation.

I have been using this cafe for a few years now because I swim there quite regularly. It is in one of the best locations of Plymouth's waterfront with views over the sound. Quite a good range of food, usual stuff, good portions and reasonable priced. Service bit slow but they play chilled music but not too loud. Nice atmosphere.

Wonderful sea views, great food, I had a full English breakfast and my wife had the vegetarian breakfast which was nicely presented and consisted of fried egg, vegetarian sausages, hash brown, fried mixed sweet peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes plus a slice of toast. This has the view on a sunny day, on a cold day there are outdoor heaters to keep you warm. The food is great with roast on sundays through winter. The venue can be hired for private parties and there are live bands that play there regularly.

Visited for coffee with friends. Cigarette butts everywhere and big concrete bin in the corner. Needs tidying up and a bit more cleaning considering how busy it is. Public toilets are used and to say the least they need sprucing up. The owner and staff need to be more conscientious and take more care about their place. Quite pricey as well. Not impressed as live locally. Hate to think what tourists think!

The terrace is down to earth, friendly and so welcoming. They tend to your every need on hand with blankets and hot water bottles when the weather is a bit chilly. Home from home with great food and selection if reasonably priced drinks. If they had a DJ more often or if I knew when he would be Playing I think I would frequent it far more often. This cafe bar is in a fantastic location and on a warm sunny day provides a stunning view of Plymouth Sound. However, the owners are clearly confused as to the definition of vegan food. The menu has a section clearly headed "vegan/vegetarian" but the 3 options all contain animal products.... feta cheese, goats cheese and coleslaw (egg). There is also no alternative available to cows milk for your coffee if, like myself, you happen to be dairy intolerant. Had I not arranged to meet someone there, on asking if they had soya milk and being told they only had dairy milk, I would have gone somewhere else that is more in tune with customers requirements.
