Raffles has been going such a long time (more than 30yrs) and still as popular and as good as ever. We both got different baguettes (£7) and had half and half, hence the messy presentation (I forgot to take pic at the start). You can get hot food and regular sliced bread sandwiches too. The curly fries are yummy. We're never disappointed with our meal here and it's in an excellent, central spot in the St. George's shopping mall, which has the multi story carpark above for even more convenience. Wheelchair accessible too.

Me and my step daughter stop here every now and then whilst shopping for gifts for her Daddy. She picked the place and really loves her baked potato with cheese and beans ❤️ My only criticism is the tight seating arrangements, it could do with some less tables, other than that, awesome! Me and a friend went for a catch up and as we got our coffees we felt like we wasn’t very welcome there. The staff was talking bad things about other staff members when they wasn’t there. About how they made their cappuccinos for customers and giving them horrible nick names. And they was playing the radio very loud Asif they didn’t want us there.

Brilliant cafe to visit and relax in. Rachel, Sophie, Lizzie and Jack all make you welcome with a smile and serve you as best as anyone can. The choice and quality of the food is fantastic as is the very reasonable cost to eat in what are very comfortable surroundings. My family and I have patronised this cafe for several years and we have no intention of stopping any time soon, such is the enjoyment we have on each visit.

The cafe is nice food, a little on the expensive side. The staff were nice and busy with a busy cafe but felt even when busy I felt the wait wasn't to bad. I would have given four stars but there is wheelchair access but NO DIABLED TOILETS, which for a larger cafe which has been recently refurbished isn't acceptable. Saying go to St.georges,which is up two floors is not good enough as it's along way to go if your disabled. I would go back as a non disabled person but if you are or low on energy or maybe older I wouldn't.

First visit.Welcomed quickly by friendly efficient staff.Light airy dining room,tables well spaced. Our drinks arrived quickly,slight delay on the sandwiches we ordered, but when they arrived we could see that they were freshly made, well presented,the salad and coleslaw were really good. We can understand why the small delay in service - the restaurant was packed!!!! A very good experience and will go again.

We called in for a light lunch and was suitably impressed with the menu and the reasonable prices. We chose the shrimps on toast and a prawn baguette. It was great to have a choice of a brown or white baguette, which isn't always the case at some other places we visit. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. We will definitely be back again soon.

I've been here a few times over the years, it has more recently been renovated and has more space. The staff are helpful and friendly, the menu while common for a cafe, offers very good food and accommodates certain dietary needs. They do freshly squeezed orange juice which i personally love and always prefer. They have started to sell a variety of ice cream. From the date of this posting the toilets were out of order and may be for a little while longer

This is a good cafe. The iced mochas and milkshakes are super, the food is also nice. Staff are polite and things had been put in place to allow for distancing. However the toilet was shut 'due to coronavirus'

Had lunch in Raffles today for the first time in nearly 2 years. I got the Turkey & Cranberry Triple Sandwich & my husband got the Prawn Triple. Wow!! the food is still as good as ever, if not better. Topped it off with a large pot of Fruit Tea for two. Well worth the cost especially as the Turkey was proper thick cut slices and plenty of it (the Prawn again had loads). Paid the same in other places but the atmosphere here is as good & more so, especially now that the Coffee House has been renovated. Going to have to make this a new ritual - lunch in Raffles once a week - what a treat!! Thanks ladies really enjoyed it.

Service very slow, expensive but expected as in main shopping centre, food was good but it was just a cheese toastie! Oh and I do think charging 30p for a slice of onion is not going to make me come back in a hurry, that was just an unreasonable charge. 2 cheese toastie and 2 coffees £20, on the plus side I didn’t have to make it myself!

Portions were of a good size. Had the club which was good except for being made with turkey and having cheese on it, which I thought was a bit odd. I'm not a big cheese lover so did manage to scrape it off. My own fault for not asking them to take it off. Staff didn't appear to want to be there most of the time, and wanted to talk about the previous night out than serving customers in a pleasant manner. Shame really.

Visited for lunch today and greeted at the door by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to a table. The food was excellent, fresh and well presented and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and customer focused, while adhering to the social distancing rules. Lovely visit and we will return.

The only negative as far as I'm concerned is at present their toilets are out of bounds; I understand the reasoning behind it and there are public toilets in St George's Centre ,but it's a bit inconvenient ( excuse the pun ) to trapse up there esp if you have children etc with you ! But heigh! ho! What does that matter so much in the grand scheme of things in these worrying times 🤔🙂

Always tasty food and friendly table service. The cafe has just had a refurb but I haven't been since it reopened last week. The menu doesn't particularly cater for vegetarians although soup is usually available which is homemade and delicious. Definitely worth calling even for a coffee rather than visiting a predictable chain.

Actually one of my favourite places to go and hide away for something to eat whenever I'm in town. I love the fact that you've kept everything you can the way it is and added the photographs from around Preston to the walls. Love the food, the staff are always more than willing to do anything they can to help out and have never once pulled faces at me bringing the pram or my 1 year old in unlike some cafe's do. Thank you for being you!

tmosphere, excellent service, delicious food, reasonable prices. I have allergies and intolerances. They take it seriously and always accommodate my choices. Recommend the breakfast, the eggs are very fresh and the bacon is excellent. Even the sausage is great quality and I have eaten in other nice places in Preston but the sausage here far better, by far. The Americano coffee is my favourite drunk black, its not burned its excellent quality. Likewise the tea and white coffee my family say are super. The toasties, soup, club sandwich, breakfast sandwich and omlettes are absolutely fantastic. This isn't fine dining it's a friendly cafe serving home cooked food. The milkshakes and cakes and scones and toasted tea cake are delicious. It can be noisy because they welcome families and the toilets are downstairs. Polite staff. I once wasn't too keen on a scone I ordered and I had no issue with the Owner. It wasn't charged for and since then we've been visiting each week for over a year. Excellent service.

Decent place and food, for what it is - a small cafe in St Georges shopping centre. Good service and pleasant staff. Happy to be able to have soya milk with my brew, that's always a bonus! My only gripe was when I ordered quiche/salad and fries I was asked if I'd like some coleslaw with my salad, so I said yes please. However when the bill came I realised I'd been charged a further £1.50 for this and that hadn't been made clear when asked if I'd like it. Coleslaw is something I've normally just been given with my food! The waiters/waitresses need to be clear with customers if there's a further cost for items, especially for items such as coleslaw. Had I known I'd be charged more I'd just have had salad cream. Assuming there isn't a further cost for that!

The food is the same price as Debenhams, Bruccianos, Valerie Patisserie EXCEPT their standard of food is below average.

Ordered a sausage and onion gravy baguette which was £3.95 on the take out board and £10.95 to eat in which I didn’t realise til I got the bill. Justification for the £7 difference was you got chips with it- chips I didn’t ask for. Food and drinks were lovely though and we got desserts to take away which were really nice too.
