Wow! What a great little place, really interesting menu and fairly priced. I had the ‘black pud’ served with sausages, poached eggs, bacon, black pudding and Stilton sauce. I was amazed by the quality of ingredients and presentation. It was delicious. Staff were lovely and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.

Well what can I say! We had a delicious brunch at our first but definitely not last visit to the Cow Shed. We had the portobello mushroom, halloumi, sauteed onions, poached eggs, hummus on sourdough. The coffee was fab to from a local roaster, Caldera. It was one of the best brunches we have had...and we have had a few! The cakes baked on the premises was delicious too, we had the coffee and walnut cake and the sticky toffee cake. You must all pay them a visit!!

The food was really yummy. I had the halloumi and sweet potato. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly but a bit clumsy. The toffee ice cream was delicious. Would definitely go back.

First time visiting this little place and not disappointed at all, staff go the extra mile clearing the table is quick and a good vibe overall. So glad places like this exist and the food we had was above brilliant. I will be back here as now I feel i can change my coffee house of choice. If you find yourself nearby you must come here. I tip my hat to all staff and management and owners this place will be an amazing place keep the dream alive.

A little gem of a discovery that my partner and I keep returning to. By far one of my favourite venues for a good lazy morning brunch or a quick stop off for coffee and cake. The food is exceptional and the staff are lovely. Well marketed on social media and good communication so I always know what's happening there in terms of special offers, updates to menus and opening times. Would recommend a visit.

I went with my daughter the other weekend. It was pretty busy to start so we sat outside, a lovely waitress gave us our menus and switched on the outdoor heater. But shortly after a table became free indoors so she asked us to cone in I had the Ham Hock/cheese/chilli jam toastie..absolutely delicious 😋.. my daughter went for the sausage barm and fried egg.. clean plates all round..

I like the cow shed, the food is nice. I wouldn't recommend going if you want variety as the menu is very limited and regularly the venue runs out of some options from the menu, but this is usually due to high demand. If you are planning a visit, book in advance if possible or arrive early to avoid disappointment

This place is just fantastic. Perfectly positioned and cute cow 🐄 print design. Food was amazing even my daughter loved it and she's a difficult customer to please. I had the salmon sirracha. It was superb. I always have to send poached eggs back as cold or hard boiled. These were absolutely perfect!! My new go to breakkie place. Most breakfast places I've tried taste just like I'd make at home. So what's the point? You won't be disappointed

Took my daughter for an early lunch. We hadn’t booked a table but managed to get a table for two near the door. Staff very friendly and helpful. My daughter had the tomato and pepper soup which she said was delicious. I had the chicken club sandwich. Very nice indeed and so big I took half home. Came with salad, coleslaw and crisp. It’s nice to see little cafes like this doing well and keeping busy. Will take rest of the family next time.

The food is beautiful and the service is brilliant. I love the choices on the menu and the black pudding bon bon is to die for. For a sweet treat I recommend any of the brownies on offer. They are amazing! I absolutely love this little place for a treat. You will not be disappointed!

I went yesterday morning with my husband and very active puppy. I had a veggie breakfast and it was delicious and my husband had a non-veggie which he enjoyed. Visited the cow shed for reakfast this morning. Lovely warm welcome and great menu on offer. Nice to see they also offer a menu to accommodate dairy free diet (as well as other dietary requirements ). We ordered hot drinks and the farmhouse breakfast and were not disappointed! First visit to "The Cow Shed" in Penwortham since they started doing hot food. Very busy and the staff were very friendly. I had black pudding which was delicious my friend had home made soup and the kids had sausage and beans on toast. Not a huge menu but the other choices looked quite interesting definitely go back again.
