True Lebanese food in a casual environment. I knew it was going to be good when I saw the Deliveroo riders and locals lined up for takeaway.
Watching the baker prepare the homemade bread was therapeutic- the bread was even better than I was hoping for.
R. A.
It is about the only authentic Lebanese food in Reading! Ordered mixed grilled & appetizers (small mixed mazza that has humus, mutabal, babaghanoug, 2 grape leaves, 2 falafel - see photos) and mixed grill (kebab, chicken & meat tikka) with chips (French fries). The taste & spices were true to my expectations coming from Oman where the lebanese food is similar.
The price was very reasonable for what you get & compared to others in town.
The place is clean and has inside washrooms. Sometimes it can get crowded but the food arrived quickly in our case. Highly recommended if you are visiting Reading, and it is w walking distance from Broad Street.

Make breads from scratch, which is amazing. The mixed grill platter was amazing. But ambience is not so great and they have only 1 lady who is taking orders, serving, cleaning, washing and a lot more. Not fair. Hence the low rating.
R. A.
The food is really good. We go there often over the past year and we tried several dishes, all tasted delicious. Good value for money. There is a big variety in the menu
S. A.
Ordered through deliveroo. Rice was overcooked and soaking in water. In all honesty, the manager was amazing. He just wanted me to be happy and sorted everything out. Even rang deliveroo and got them to send another batch. The rice was still overcooked but was definitely less soggy. Will probably not order the ozy lamb again and probably should have settled with a full refund. But 5 stars to the manager. He was amazing.

Tasty affordable Lebanese / Arabic cuisine
They have the tastiest & authentic Manakeesh , it brings back so many memories !
We have tried shawarma platter , Lahem bi Ajeen ,Manakeesh jibneh & mixed grill . However , their portions are kind of small.
But a must try place for middle eastern food lovers .
A. N.
Very tasty authentic Lebanese food.

First time going to The Bakery, place is nice and clean and a good selection of food and teas. Located in a quiet place of Reading, but still easily enough to find and the place does halal food. Worth a visit, as I was travelling for work purposes and was a good find on a evening out.

Can't recommend this enough, been to a few Lebanese restaurants band this one outdoes then all! Being culturally close to my countries cuisine I can rate it as authentic ! Would definitely recommend !!
F. M.
Went at a busy time. Seating is a typical Lebanese experience, basic not lush. Service is fast and friendly. The food is authentic, freshly made to order, and delicious. I'll be back for more .
E. T.
Absolutely delicious. Had home delivery sept 2020. Choose veggie options. Aubergine amazing. Bean thing also great. flavours great. Fresh bread great. Thanks!
P.
Charcoal grill very delicious. Fresh Bread very tasty. Serving Staff very friendly chefs and owner also very polite people. 👍👍👍

One of my favourite places to eat at without having to go to London for authentic Lebanese food. We have eaten in and had a takeaway a few times. Food has been top notch. I recently noticed they had kunefe (dessert) on the menu too but it wasn't available that afternoon. I am hoping they do make it because if not, I'll have to go to London again. Hahahahah! Good job, guys.
N. B.
Amazing fresh food a great vegan delight, beautiful salads, fresh flavours, didnt have to wait long for the food. The only thing is parking is limited in the area snd we felt towards the end that we were being rushed away because they wanted the table! All in all a great night!
t. S.
Nice place to eat out and halal food, clean, reasonable prices and organised. The personnel is friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a good place to eat.
G. S.
It's a very nice place to serve authentic Lebanese food.
Absolutely love this place, had food here in dining and take away numerous times.

Clean environment, polite, worth a try

A must go if you are in Reading. Great falafels
N. B.
One of our fav places for some quick affordable Lebanese food. Warm and helpful staff. Highly recommend
A. M.
Tasty food (and good portions), excellent friendly service

A taste from home. I tried the za'tar, white cheese and spinach mana'eish. Preffered the white cheeses and spinach to the zatar that was used when I went. Yummy!
J. R.
Lovely fresh delicious food, friendly staff. Yummy.
S. U.
Service is good, food is good but prices are very expensive.. Small setting arrangement.
u. r.
Nice place have been visiting many times perfect for my family
S. V.
Tasty food, can get busy and could do with a bit more modern furniture and cleanliness
D. W.
Visited July 2021. I got a succulent, well spiced and well sauced Mixed (chicken and lamb) Shawarma for the princely sum of £4.25! Great value for money and a veritable Reading institution, so I have been told.
C.
Delicious, fresh and authentic food, very reasonable prices, generous portions, nice people. No frills, no nonsense, solid meals.
P. F.
A small cosy restaurant with very nice and delicious foods!! Staffs are extremely friendly!
S. H.
Absolute gem of a place! Might look just like your average kebab shop from the street, but sit in and eat and the food will keep you coming back time and time again. Mixed mezze is bang on, falafel so Herby, any of the grilled meats fantastic and the Lebanese pizza things 👌
J. K.
Really tasty mixed grill! Very friendly staff - I would definitely come back to eat again
G. M.
Tasty food, we always love to eat here!
H. O.
A very good restaurant, it has the most beautiful bread you will taste, and the chickpea salad is very beautiful. It also has beautiful cheese and meat pies prepared in the oven, its shawarma is very beautiful, but the grills are not the most beautiful thing I have tasted.
K. I.
A terrific spot for a Lebanese food feast! The taste and the quality of the dishes is just what one would expect of a restaurant in Beirut. The kebabs are fantastic, the pittas are fresh and the ayran is by far the tastiest I’ve had in the UK! Do not overlook this place - it is not eye-catching, but once you sit there, you won’t regret it!
O. B.
Great food, absolutely lovely, service was also very friendly amd quick
O. M.
The taste is authentic. The music a little loud. The speed of the service is reasonable. Really enjoyed the food. The dessert variety is not gr8 and even it was not available. Would go again for sure.
S. C.
The food was excellent. Very nicely spiced. My only comment is there was no lemon juice available form my lamb dish, but it was mentioned on the menu for other dishes. But did not make much difference to the meat.
A. A.
Delicious Lebanese food like Falafel,Kebab,Shawerma etc ...Great atmosphere.Big portions.Bread is freshly baked!
A. I.
This small restaurant *used to be* hands on the best and most authentic in Reading. Unfortunately over the years it's gone downhill. Now it's commonplace to be under served bread (less than the ordered portion), stale bread and often food that is clearly not fresh. I advise the management to address their diminishing standards before this restaurant is reviewed out of service. Thanks
M. M.
Nice to visit. Arabic Lebanon food.
Z.
Wasn't sure what to expect, but the food here was excellent and portions were very generous. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend to others. Atmosphere is slightly dull, it feels too quiet even with music playing (maybe rethink your layout?) and so you feel like you're in focus throughout your visit. Otherwise, a lovely find.
D. “. A.
So good food and great service with fantastic atmosphere.
W. N.
The food is amazing! I have not had any issues in the years I have been going here. Great portions and great service
M. T.
rlly good food, their shish taouk w extra chili extra garlic is the best i’ve had👍🏽
M. F.
Authentic Lebanese cusine, friendly staff and good sized portions. Rightly priced. Name can be misleading, but it's a full restaurant serving lunch and dinner.
M. L.
A gem of a place!
I came in here with friends for lunch, and found it a great spot. The servers were very prompt and helpful to us and the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the Lebanese bread, which is freshly baked on site.
The value for money was mixed- I felt my mixed grill main was not particularly generous in portion size for the amount I paid, but the starter for two we ordered was easily enough for four of us.
If you're a student, make sure to bring your ID for a 10% discount!
K. A. B.
Order from here regularly as takeaway, food is great, good value for money and nice desserts. I like the portion sizes and freshness of the food.
Recommend the Shish Taouk, Manakeesh Jibneh and the mixed Baklawa.
Thanks for the great food! :D
A. W.
Very disappointed with the whole meal.
All the grills were burnt dry, and very bland. although the mixed Shwarma was decent.
The waiting staff were polite and pleasant. I do hope they improve their food as this is not how Lebanese food should be.
A. T. (.
Love this place. Food is delicious. Falafel's amazing, so's the hummus. Don't even get me started on the bread.
Proper local gem
M. B.
friendy staff
good value food

We ordered the Lamb Shawarma Hot Sandwich and it was absolutely delicious ! Nor shy on the portions and lots of tasty filling 😋 We have battled to find a good shawarma since we moved to Reading. I highly recommend this. Deliveroo delivered and arrived really fast.too 👍
D. A.
5 out of 5 when eating in- Amazing food and always great service! Ordered 3 x3 starters with friends to try out new dish. everything was delicious. Every single dish was mouthwatering.
3 out of 5 stars takeaway - I ordered for takeaway, a week later, the portions where not as big and bread with cheese only came for 4 small slices, didn't add up to a full size bread.
Overall
GREAT FOOD YOU GOT TO TRY IT.
f. D. M.
Best hummus in town.
Really good falafels/halloumi/boneless bay chicken
P. S.
The absolute best bargain meal you will find in Reading! Outstanding Lebanese cuisine served by friendly people. The only negative if you could call it that is that they don't have the largest seating area, so it isn't a place for you and 30 friends to go after work. Something I really love is their mint tea, it really is outstanding! They add spearming mint leaves (I believe) to the peppermint tea bags and the tea that comes out is so much more rich and delicious. I liked their mint tea so much I have started doing the same at home.
The Bakery House has outstanding food at quite affordable prices. The set menus for 4 people are so amazing. You would not believe how much food they bring you - it is like a Lebanese version of Dim Sum! I cannot recommend The Bakery House highly enough!
R. R.
Fantastic chicken shawarma. Not a big fan of the lamb one but this could be down to personal taste. Great prices.
M. H.
One of my personal favorites in Reading. The food is so tasty, portions are large and definitely great value for the price.
I recommend trying out many different appetizers!
A. A.
This restaurant is the best restaurant serve a middle eastern food in the United Kingdom. It has a Fantastic food and variety of compensations; the food was so tasty. Also, it has friendly staff smiles and so polite. The restaurant is very clean. I have been on many restaurants around the UK and US but this one is by far the best. I highly recommended Bakery House :)
N. T.
One of the best takeaways/restaurants in town. A lot of amazing, tasty food that isn't too expensive either.
Great for veggie/vegan options and I hear the meat options are really tasty too. Can't recommend enough.
R. Q.
Wondered why it was called the bakery... It's because they make their own pitta breads.... And they are great. I've eaten here with the family a few times, and I've picked up a kebab on the way home. Every time, the food has been great. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back
L. H.
I commissioned these guys for a Birthday Party 2 years ago. They were brilliant!!
Now, however - having gone back for family meal ( I recommend the place to everyone) we found the service really poor. The waitress was extremely forgetful, serving the main meal while table was still had all the starter plates. She forgot the drinks, and totally forgot the side dishes. Shame. Food ok, but now feels overpriced due to shabby service. I Felt let down quite badly since I recommend them 😐
J. S.
I went in here for the first time today to get some lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. I had a lamb shawarma and it was beautiful. All the sauces tasted incredible. I've never even thought about Lebanese food before but I will be going here whenever I can.
J. ..
Great fresh food, large portions and great flavour to everything I've had from here. I'd advise booking to sit in as its small and is generally always busy. Take away is a great option too. I'd definitely recommend the fresh bread rolls and hoummous too!
j. s.
Lots of fresh tasty dishes. Like tapas only we were very satisfied! Helpful staff. Didn't rush us. Good relaxed atmosphere. Lots of chatting and laughter.
E. S.
The food was so delicious and authentic! I love the place it combines quality, price and friendly staff! I love everything about bakery house! I would recommend it to everyone one who is in Reading-London area! 5 stars all the way!
G. B.
Food was okay however portion size for mains is quite small for the price you are paying. The service staff was responsive and well mannered. Menu options should be more flexible, not so fixed. Lastly £3 for some pickles and or some extra sides is just ridiculous.
D. W.
It's ok. Having heard good things I finally was able to try it out.
Lools like a takeaway, small seating area (quite cosy) cold restaurant and busy waitresses meant service was slow.
Set menu for 2@£20 each. Lots of starters, a main to share and a coffee and sweet. There was enough food but not as much as I thought for £40.
Quality of the food was ok, most seemed fresh, not the best quality meat (fatty/gristle/chewy), but good flavours generally.
J. W.
Absolutely superb - heard about this place for years but only got around to trying it last night. Portions are very generous and I am sat enjoying my left overs for lunch just as much, if not more, than I did last night.
Guys working there are nice and the food was quick. 100% recommend and I will be back.
R. D.
Best Lebanese fast food place in this neck of the woods outside London. The mana'eesh are awesome. A piece of Lebanon in Reading. Hopefully it will always remain at this level of quality and service.
Edit: I've removed 2 stars as its gotten more expensive and portions got smaller.
Edit 2: Re-adding 1 Star for original bigger sandwiches.
a.
I found this Middle Eastern resturant on my way to work along historic London Street. took a bar seat and ordered some warm bread, plain and decent. never had a Lebanese coffee before and went for that.the first thing you have to learn is that you have to wait.apparently there is an amount of grinding involved for your drink. the coffee was small, fragrant, somewhat floral. had more of a filter fell than espresso.served in a modest cup on saucer. reminded me of home.
P. A.
Beautiful Lebanese food. Full of flavour- absolutely recommend the Shawarma. No spice, so even Grandma can enjoy it (tasty sauces available for those who like a bit of heat).
S. K.
Love it here. Especially the vegan food options. Best falafel in town. Great quality food, good price and friendly staff. Gets VERY busy at weekends so can be a bit of a wait for take away but worth it.
J. S.
Loved the food, and the quick service. Lots of options and very reasonably priced
G. B.
The place itself is pretty basic, but the food is amazing. You cannot go wrong with the mixed grill. They prepare everything in house. You can taste the freshness and quality. The breads are really good as well
F. H.
Fantastic food, this place is a hidden gem! Service is friendly and honestly, this is one of the best places to eat in Reading. The food is fresh and every component is so tasty, from the juicy chicken to the warm, freshly baked bread. There aren't many places we go back to time and again, but this is one of them.
A. P.
Houmous and fresh breads are out of the world. You can not get breads any fresher than that. Lots of veg choices, price is also reasonable. Only thing I noticed is lack of staff which results in some delay. React all is good. I will surely is it them again.
D. W.
The food was the best thing I've ever eaten. I had Pho with chicken and it was delicious and filled me up. It was quite cheap as well!
Y. S.
Bakery House is one of the best things about Reading! They have the best moutabel I've ever had, and their home made bread is incredible.
B. D.
I was looking for a place with good bakery products in Reading, and my was I not disappointed. The chicken soup was heavenly and I'll be going back for more. The grilled chicken was an amazing mixture of flavours and the homemade bread reminded me of my grandma's! Absolutely recommend this place <3
S. H.
We had a beautiful meal. The service was great, food was delicious and everything was made fresh. They paced bringing the food out which meant we are everything whilst it was still warm. Will definitely be coming back here regularly.
O. K.
Amazing food, amazing prices! The atmosphere not amazing though, but considering the fact that it's a takeaway place mainly, it's alright. More as a place to grab a bite, not for a proper dinner out I guess. But it's definitely worth eating here!
S. S.
Love the chicken shawarma from this place. Great prices. Parking is a problem but not a fault of the shop.
T.
We always try to come here when we travel to reading from basingstoke. Fantastic food, fantastic prices and good service! The broad bean and okra starters are lovely, and the shish taouk and chicken shawarma mains are delicious. The front is just a kebab shop and there is a dining area at the back, but the most important thing is the food, which is highly recommended!!
S. P.
Fantastic Lebanese restaurant. The people serving have stern faces but kind hearts. I saw a table spill two drinks and they happily cleaned up twice. Food is very nice and healthy and the Lebanese bread is just addictive.
R. W. (.
Cozy little Lebanese restaurant. Great food, really good value. The mixed Sharwarma was piled high on the plate, the bread was delicious. I will be going back to sample the deserts. The staff are friendly and efficient.
C. G.
Tried this place on basis of other's reviews... and would agree: food is great. Good value for money and very tasty. Place itself is clean but not fancy- like a diner . Staff fine.
W.
What a treat you will have if you choose to dine here! Fantastic food and lovely staff will leave you feeling full and wanting more the next day. I recommend the platter for 2 to share although it is large! Great place
N. A.
Very nice food. The staff wouldn't win any service awards but their not bad. The seating area is very tight to be comfortable.
Overall this is a good restaurant.
A. S.
Nice small place with really good food. The owner is always really helpful as well as staff. However sometimes they look bit stressed out... I'm guessing as is always busy. Definitely will be back and can recommend.
M. N.
Grewt place for authentic Lebanese food
J. K.
Excellent food and portions
L.
Ordered through deliveroo and was really impressed by the flavor and quality of the food. Generous portions, freshly prepared, authentic and delicious. Will be ordering again!
S. e.
It was much better before..
Salads and pastries were really tasty and delicious
Soup wasn't as creamy as before and mix grill was dry and not juicy
Portions are less than before and price increased. My husband got his dish before all of us, so he had to eat before us as his food would turn cold.
Hope it gets better as it used to be
R.
I really like this as an authentic Lebanese place and good value for money.
I think the Kebbeh could be a touch more flavorful but I generally prefer pine nuts in mine. My husband's 'main' was a little slow to come out but that's probably because they may have assumed that we were sharing the mezze when actually, the mezze was pretty much for me and my husband wanted the chicken, this is why I have only given 4 stars.
When the main did come out it was very enjoyable.
I also love the Lebanese puddings which are hard to find.
A. G.
So don't be fooled by the fancy looking pictures that they've posted on here, I don't know if the pictures are old but the pictures aren't really representative of how this place is a simple Lebanese takeaway with seating. But it's about the taste, and with everything that I've tried, this place is an easy 5*.
A. M.
In comparison to the Middle East and most Mediterranean restaurants in London, the quality of food is average and their shawarma sandwiches are standard. In house service is often slow, with serving sizes being smaller than expected for the price paid
O. H.
Great, affordable, delicious. Service with a smile. The desserts are worth the visit alone.
N. B.
Ordered this via deliveroo. For some reason deliveroo had shown it delivered when it was not, and there were no riders left as it was past midnight. Although I was given a refund by deliveroo. One of the staff from bakery house brought the food to me personally on their way home. The food was excellent despite being delayed because of deliveroo. It is easily better than some of the best known Lebanese eateries in London. Highly Recommended
C. F.
Lovely food, decent service and good portion sizes. Wasn't sure what to order and over ordered accidentally but could bring it home in containers. Gorgeous meat on charcoal. Lovely breadcakes. Make sure you visit!
T. W.
Nice Lebanese cafe with lots of veggie, vegan and gluten free foods as well as meat dishes - all delicious, lots of different things to try out - fast and friendly service too. quite busy so best to book.
F. T.
A very popular Lebanese restaurant close to Reading town centre. A little busy during lunch times, but a great selection of foods at a reasonable price and very friendly staff. Recommend the mint tea!
d. a.
Clean restaurant and friendly staff and most importantly delicious food
S. M.
The food is delicious! The service is ok. It could be better, but it's not bad enough to stop me from going there. As long as you're not in a rush to get in and get out, it's a great place for a casual delicious bite.
M. O.
Excellent Lebanese food, friendly, casual service and great value.
We came here for a midweek supper with a small international group and everyone loved the food. Everyone everyone enjoyed the mixed vegetarian mezzze, then the meat eaters dived into spicy chicken livers and roast chickens while the veggies tried the falafel wraps and lenses"Lebanese pizzas". The consensus was that these were probably the best falafel in reading.
All washed down with Ayran (a yogurt based drink somewhat like an Indian lassi) and mint tea to finish.
We all left with take away boxes as the portions were larger than we expected but no one could bring themselves to leave any food behind.
The final bill was smaller per head than seemed reasonable for the food we'd eaten (and planned to take away) and we all agreed to make this a regular meeting place.
s.
Food was spot on and fresh, highly recommended and will definitely go back next time I'm in Reading.
D. F.
Some of the best lebanese good I have ever tasted, would recommend to anyone
R. G.
Food was good, similar to what you would find at most middle eastern places in London, nothing special. Service was predicatably slow and inattentive as seems to be the norm with this cuisine. Not cheap either.
B. w.
This is a first for me eating Lebanese food and finding this place and must say I did enjoy it very much. I've since been told it is very busy at lunchtime so it must be doing something right and I certainly will call in again.
V. E.
Fell in love with the taste of food here. One of the best foods out there with such a great price.
c.
The grilled sea fish was good
R. H.
No veggie mains but loads of options in hot and cold mezze - particularly recommend the moussaka. Food was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff, food came out in dribs and drabs.
H. F.
Lovely mixed shawarma on my way to the station. Bread is soft and light.
E. O.
We are in and found a great choice of food on the menu that tasted delicious with warm and friendly service from the staff.
Will definitely be back again.
A. s.
Nice restaurant with reasonable prices
A. F.
Delicious food and good service.
a. n.
Very nice food will visit again
K. A.
Absolutely fabulous food, very relaxed environment, nice staff and very reasonably priced. They make their own bread on site (pida?) Hence the name.
E. R.
Great Lebanese food in a cafe style restaurant close to town centre. The food was great. We reserved a large table for a group and were well looked after.
P. S.
One of the best kebab shops in reading. The meat is really meat and not this fake meat that other places offer. Highly recommend to try the home made bread. Just amazing!
M. H.
Only had pastries. Acceptable quality, prices are above average in comparison to similar restaurants in London.
There is plenty of space for improvement.
L. S.
I really enjoyed the meal I had with a friend for lunch. The mint lemonade was very green and very good. The only criticism would be that it was quite difficult to pay!
M. D.
If you like ME food try this place. Not expensive at all and also delicious unless you want to drive to London
w. o.
Great shawrma, very authentic.
One of very few places that I enjoyed eating the original shawrma .
A.
Quality fresh food at a very good price😋
In fact, remembering this place makes me want to visit again!
K. S.
Didn't really rate the mixed grill, meat was tough and I have had much better Lebanese food. Bread was good
J. M.
Can I please give this place more than 5 stars?! Some of the best food and value for money in Reading. Always delicious! Highly recommended if you've never been.
C. S.
Really nice food. Ginger drink was fab. Will be back.
M. N.
The wraps in here are amazing! Such a nice clean restaurant! I normally get a take away from here, but occasionally sit down too! The service is second to none.
S. W.
Fantastic food and service - I would highly recommend the hummus and the mixed grill was delicious. 10/10 one of the best places I've been in Reading!
S. H.
Excellent food, reasonably priced and a one of the few good Halal restaurants in Reading to catch up with friends and family. Spaces are limited but nicely decorated.
A. L.
Excellent lamb shwarma lunch deal for less than £10. The entire menu is full of authentic Lebanese street food. Yum
A. B.
Had takeaway from here, very impressed. Definitely deserves the rave reviews, the baklava was a lovely surprise. And good portions all around!
S. R.
Great find. Really good food vary fresh and tasty. Very busy on Saturday night but service was good - worth booking.
F. A. R.
Delicious foods and good prices.
D. F.
The food was great. The service is quick and friendly and the prices are reasonable. The menu offers a wide choice of statrers, mains and drinks.
J. E.
Food was ok, chips could do with an upgrade, bread was really soft, service was great, starters were quite oily, humus was nice, meat was good, portions are not too large or too small in fact more euro-size you wont feel bloated- , a little more expensive than usual, nice lebanese coffee to finish off with, oh and nice fresh fruit juices I loved the carrot juice - I would recommend this place.
J. “. G.
A hidden gem in Reading, I would highly recommend sitting in a going wild with the menu as the food was great, service was ok, but they were busy on the night we went so that can be forgiven. A must try for Reading foodies.
L. S.
Their lamb shawarma is to die for. Would definitely recommend.
N.
Delicious food with authentic flavours, absolutely delicious bread made on site. Friendly staff and overall good experience. Will definitely go back!
A. W.
Visited here with family. Small, friendly place. Accommodated my requests (have a food allergy) professionally. Food was amazing. Will be coming back!
J. B.
Good Lebanese food at an affordable price in a cosy environment. Traditional Lebanese starters and main dishes are served. My favourite is grilled chicken.
R. T.
Really tasty Lebanese food here. Great value. We reserved a table and it was just as well as there were none free.
M. M.
The food was OK. A little more bland than I might have expected. Nice hummus. Service was pretty slow, even though it was almost empty.
A. S.
Very authentic Lebanese food, good atmosphere,
. Shame they increased the prices as soon as the place got popular. It tend to get very busy at the weekend and booking in advance is recommended
N. S.
Great food, full of flavours. Been there a few times. Their meat dishes are great as is the sharing starter platter.
M. S. K.
Nice food, big portions. Limited seating though. Falafel and lamb kofta are very good. Grilled chicken is great too!
B. C.
Consummate Lebanese cuisine - all the dishes were delicious but the sausages and pizzas really stood out. I recommend the drinking yoghurt - it's homemade!
T. L.
Good Lebanese food at reasonable prices. No drinks, sadly. Good service and also good for takeaway. Note, no sandwiches allowed for dine in on weekends.
A. A. A.
They have viraty of delicious food, good prices and very friendly staff. I think it will be the best choice to taste oriental food in Reading. I recommend to make advance booking.
A. M.
The food is fantastic the menu is a little confusing but I am so happy I have found this place. Lovely food and friendly staff I can't rate it highly enough it was such a surprise
M. J.
Looks like a cheap and tacky cafe but oh my goodness, the food is divine. Freshly cooked, extremely tasty. Try it once and you will be back again (and again).
N. E.
Great Lebanese food. Nice for family outings and weekends nights with friends. The place is a bit small, so it will need a reservation for large numbers
M. A.
They were great when they first started. Manager is arrogant. Sandwiches are now bland although they are very pricy. But still have a wide range of starters.
C. H.
Great little middle eastern joint, does take away and has a seating area to the rear. Fantastic juices, middle eastern cuisine, salads, mezze and kebabs
S. N.
Delicious food, great service and friendly staff. We had a relaxed Sunday family dinner. Thank you all, at Bakery House!
m. A.
Food is amazing. Service great.
Not that much space but wasn't packed when I came so no issues
S. H.
Great authentic Lebanese food at a very reasonable price. Lamb shawarma is fantastic and the hummus with fried lamb on top is amazing
T. M.
Come here for the falafel and mezze. It's the best in Reading, best I've had compared to London too. Avoid if you're super sensitive about customer service
J. R.
Took my family of 5. Bill came to around £70.00. absolutely loved the food, just wish it was bigger.
