r. m.The beef pastrami sandwich took my tastebuds to another dimension! The staff are lovely and brought hot water bottles out to my girlfriend (spicy pepperoni panini. Also amazing!) and I sat outside to eat. Love this place!

D. H.I forgot my lunch today so after work I decided to try Fidget and Bob (after a few years) and I got The Caprese Panini. And I must say when the handed it to me it just felt heavy. I wasn't expecting something like that for what was in it. But I gotta say, the sandwich was probably one of the best I've had in a long time. And for the price I was more than a satisfied! I really love the pesto inside and I'd love to know where you get it from!
The staff were all very friendly, they were all still wearing masks, social distancing and it made the place just feel a bit better knowing that they're putting effort in everything (not just the food/drinks) I look forward to coming back again very soon.

L. S. R.We walk the dogs here regularly for coffee, cakes, sandwhiches and other delicious treats. During lockdown they started stocking groceries so we're also able to get Oat Milk and local fresh bread and eggs - an absolute godsend for us in lockdown and now. Especially recommend the breakfast mushroom wrap or hangover sandwhich. The owners always go above and beyond - cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Either drop in, and its very COVID-securely setup, or use click and collect online and the food is always ready right on time and perfect as ordered.
Pastrami sandwich + Carrot & Orange cake is especially recommended for a pit stop!
J. K.We’ve become regulars at Fidget & Bob over the past few months and for good reason. Their ‘Sausage & Egg O’Muffin’ beats anything else out there as does their selection of fresh sandwiches and pizzas. They also stock a great selection of local beers which I’ve been tucking into. Their fresh bread and pastries are all local and absolutely spectacular too. Shuet and Breege are so helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Very highly recommended.

Helpful and cheery staff, USB charging points, good music, a wide range of fresh and locally sourced trad and modern dishes as well as craft beers, ciders and wines. We took home one of the oriental "ready meal" pot soups as well, and it was delicious. A welcome change from the alternatives (e.g. another Costa franchise), so get out there and support your local independent restaurants!
J. B.Fidget & Bob is a totally dreamy place. The food is incredibly delicious (highlights for me are the frankenfurter panini and wonton dumpling soup!). Not only are they an independant, enriching their local area, but they're champions of supporting other Indies. Expect to find store cupboard delights from a range of local and indie vendors alongside F&B's own lovelies. To top it off the entire team are so welcoming and lovely. Perfect for brunch, lunch or dinner (try and make one of their pizza evenings!).

I. M.A renovated and reopened cafe furnished with a mix of locally sourced and hand built furniture. The new owners are friendly and provide an interesting range of breakfast, lunchtime. They have ethically sourced tea and coffee and an interesting range of beer and wine. The business has a policy of using local small suppliers whenever possible. The menu changes weekly and is well worth trying. They have adapted well to the changing Covid19 situation.

S. B.Just popped down to replenish my coffee supplies, and was tempted by a croissant, a beautiful game changer of a croissant, way more substantial and tasty than the majority. Would also suggest picking up one of their home made versions of Pot Noodle, healthy and so tasty, its all about balance, right! They also have so many locally produced products all under one roof.
As always, and I mean always, the greeting was friendly, the place was spotless and the service was faultless.

They even have local beer on draught! If you see their Char Siu Pork on the menu, it’s a must order. You won’t be disappointed. The owners are wonderful and offer such great service.

Their breakfast and lunches are to die for! I would highly recommend .as it is the perfect place to go to with friends or family. The outside space is just as pleasant .

Excellent and affordable wine selection also. I'm currently eating the superb takeaway wonton noodle soup for lunch now and enjoying every moment of it! S. H. L.I discovered Fidget & Bob in between lockdowns when I needed a local place that served good coffee..so the first thing I ordered was a double espresso. The coffee is first rate! Really fresh and a great house blend. This lead me to look at their range of sandwiches. I no longer bring lunch with me on my office days; I just order one of the amazing sandwiches from F&B and Happy Days! Their pastrami, blt and sriracha chicken sandwiches are all really very tasty and full to bursting with filling. I always pre-order through their website to avoid any queues and it's always a pleasure to pop in to pick up when the time comes. Great staff. Great food. Great Coffee. A go to lunch place for me!

There's plenty of food and drink options to cater to all dietary requirements as well. The staff are wonderful and I will certainly come back, even if it is our of the way from where I live and town, it is worth the trip. We need more places like this.
R. B.Dog friendly - there is a water bowl outside. They provided dog treats for a mis-behaving beagle. Rather reinforced the behaviour but it was kind. Really good, tasty yet very economically priced food. I had a fantastic pot noodle, but this wasn't your student bedsit variety pot noodle. Oodles of flavour. Fantastic dumplings. Yum. Yum. Yum. Beer and Cider not so economically priced, but still good value for the quality. No issue just walking up at about 4:45 in the afternoon. No queues and lots of space. Definitely on my revisit list. If you haven't been before, you should.

M. F.I visited Reading for 10 days. In that time we visited London and many of the nearby towns, eating at many different restaurant. Fidget and Bob was by far my favorite. The food was excellent, the people were friendly. When I was there I felt like I was at a home away from home. It was cozy and relaxing. If I lived nearby I would certainly go many times a week.

The friendly owners have done a complete refurbishment and introduced an interesting menu - try the all day breakfast wrap. A great place for locals and visitors to Kennet Island. Also handy for a snack before a match at The Madejski Stadium.
