***New pictures added*** Back on form with the pastries! :-) Changed from 3 star to 4.
Used to be great, during pandemic…using unhomogenised milk and then they got lazy and began using co-op milk.
For the prices and the organic misc en scene, they should get back on game.
However, pastries are different to the usual ones at other coffee shops and really seem homemade - more bun like rather than fluffy pastry.
I would recommend biscuit factory for the best coffee in reading BUT if you are local this is better than gardens and the collective.

Superb croissants made every morning, fresh and hot. One of the best coffee in town served by friendly and helpful staff. Outdoor seating in the back garden is very nice, quiet and secluded. With their service they make every customer a regular. Love these guys!

Really lovely cafe. Excellent scrambled eggs and bacon on sourdough and good value for money. The almond milk hot chocolate is the best in the area.

Very nice place with friendly owners. We love the walnut-aubergine-pomegranate wrap and the ajika chicken wrap - they are really special, and there is a lot of content in them. Cakes and khachapuri are great, too.

Amazing little cafe, feels like home. Friendly staff with smile. The pistachio croissant is something different should give it a try. The rosemary chai is so nice. I’m definitely coming back

So we went there to have khachapuri and unfortunately they don’t have it after pandemic and they only available for made to order or when they have workshops
And there were limited options as compared to what google shows
Although we had hot chocolate and some kind of cheese pastry cups and they were delicious and the lady owner is so cute to talk
Must try … thumps up

A great cafe turned local artisan store, with contact-free, open air, take-out coffee, cakes, fresh daily sourdough bread, pantry supplies & fresh fruit, veg and groceries. Superb & reliable veg and delivery boxes - order online for home delivery. Delicious Khachapuri – Georgian Cheese Bread - made just like I remember. Delicious! A daily must visit in Caversham!

Delicious pastries, excellent coffee and chai latte. The staff very friendly and helpful really pleased to have this little gem in Caversham.

Lovely spot for fresh, local sandwiches, and other produce. Amazing bread, and fantastic coffee.

I popped in with friends for a light lunch with no expectations and was really wowed by the experience. The team was very warm and friendly and the cheese and mushroom toastie was out of this world. I would go so far as to say the best I have ever tasted. Make sure you have the tapenade on the top! Highly recommended.

Found this little place and there sourdough is just really really good. Go get some! A great little bakery and grocer with a good range of local produce and freshly baked goods. Well worth a visit. Caversham you are lucky to have this little gem in your high street.

What a gem this place is. Considerable care is taken over everything, even the toasties are exquisetly done on sourdough with a range of great ingredients. Have only been twice since moving to the area but it will be my go to cafe going forward.

Very nice and cosy cafe with nice selection of classic and Georgian items. The aubergine roll (badrijani) on sourdough was delicious, more smooth and creamy than the harsh garlicky kind you can get. The bean stew (lobio) looks simple but tasted incredible. The portions are certainly lunch sized, but I hear they have "Georgian feasts" where you can eat your heart out.

Super coffee, amazing pastry's, lovely atmosphere and great staff (Anna was top notch). Can't wait to come back and relax again soon.

Great place, lovely people, the chicken wrap is the best sandwich in reading and the coffee is delicious! Thank you so much to the generous staff, too kind.

Smallish place. Very good coffee. Almond croissants a bit chewy
I. M.
A good local cafe with some unique Georgian dishes, local products and friendly service.
A. H.
Delicious homemade wrap and a great variety of loose leaf teas! Will be back!

I love this place! I often come for a takeaway coffee and I find it hard to resist having a pastry too! They are so delicious! The staff is always nice and friendly, great little local café.
S. D.
Cute place, beautifully designed and the coffee is spot on; not too strong, not at all bitter. The best cafe in Caversham for friendliness, ambience and quality.
M. S.
Great place! Espresso is proper. Aubergine wrap and Georgian chicken were fantastic. So full of flavour. If you're anywhere near be sure to try the aubergine wrap. Set dinners are also a nice option on some days of the week and are also a nice opportunity to learn bit about Georgia and their cuisine. Cafe itself is great for spending some time in. This place also functions as a bakery with good sourdough bread and other nice bakery products. Highly recomended.

Imagine a London patisserie that does groceries, that's GeoCafé.
Excellent quality groceries, coffee and pastries here. The desserts are fantastic.
Pandemic forced many shops to shut down but Geo-cafe instead kept open & made the extraordinary transition from successful café to grocer/patisserie.
A remarkable achievement without dropping it's high standards.

This is best bread I have eaten. This place has stopped me making my own!! As a child I lived on the Med ( part of our old colonial past,) and the bread I ate there has stayed with me, and never bettered. But...Geo Cafe has brought me back to that wonderful sourdough that I remember from 60 years ago. 5 Stars for bread, but you need to be down to the shop before midday. They do provide an online booking but that is not always convenient. However, this place is a wonderful addition to our Caversham shops.

We enjoyed a really good breakfast here. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. We tried a skillet meal and a wrap, both went down really well. The baked goods are very tempting so we will have to go back and sample those! It is very much a community cafe with lots of on-going events and has a good feel to it. Cosy!

Food was really fresh and tasted great. Had the chicken wrap and it’s was lovely. Nice little garden to sit in out the back and really friendly staff.
I. S.
Love the local eggs, local cheeses, and overall healthy, fresh food. Coffees are great too, service is always friendly and attentive. Can't wait for Covid to be finally over and have these guys open as a sit in cafe again, other than just takeaway. But even as takeaway they've been a great place during Covid!
M.
My favourite café in Caversham! I love their chai lattes and my girlfriend says their cappuccinos are the best. We also buy our bread and pastries here every week. This is a local business that we really need to support!
D. B.
Amazing lunch, today. Tasty and fresh. Thanks very much.

Lovely cafe/bakery/restaurant in the heart of Caversham, picking up from where Nomad Bakery left off. Lots of traditional hot & cold Georgian food on offer, as well as quality coffee, cakes, pastries and fresh bread. Fantastic service and regional knowledge from the owners, who also run workshops and taster sessions on certain evenings - booking probably required. Small but lovely courtyard seating area to the rear. Large pay-and-display car park to the rear, but much easier to access on foot or by bike.

As an espresso drinker I can tell you that I taste actual coffee (rather than disguise with milks and flavours). This is literally the best coffee in the entirely of Berkshire, let alone Caversham.
Not only that, but immediately after lockdown GeoCafe transformed into supplying the area with veg boxes, flour, yeast and bread to those isolating. They are astonishingly good people who know their food! This is not a cute hobby enterprise! A great place for foodies and the best coffee.
P. B.
I cannot recommend this place enough! Always friendly and welcoming and their toasties on sourdough bread are FANTASTIC! It's a very small and cosy space, often packed, but if you're in the area definitely do pop in for a cuppa, cake or some food - it's all great! They also sell local produce like honey, eggs etc.
N. C.
Great staff, great coffee and delicious bread, not to mention the various snacks and cakes.
Been going here 3 or 4 times a week all pandemic, don't see that changing when we reopen.
N. N.
My boyfriend and I visited geo cafe a few times before lockdown and it was our go to cafe if we were ever in Caversham. Since lockdown, we’ve been to Caversham less but we can see that it has been completely transformed and is now a shop selling absolutely everything from honey, eggs and milk to delicious sourdough bread. The owners are brilliant and I have so much respect for how they turned it around during a really tough time and are still going... keep it up, you are crucial to our community!
S. S.
One of very few places in Reading where you can get high quality food, cake, tea and coffee. Many veggie, vegan and free from options and locally sourced products including great, fresh sourdough bread. It's got tonnes of character and very friendly staff.
L. E.
The coffee is probably the best in Reading and the bread and other yummy things in the shop are fab. It's just a shame the service is unfriendly and they charge a ridiculous amount extra for milk alternatives. Because of this I usually go elsewhere.
N. L.
What a fantastic place! Coffee is great and the carrot cake is to die for. Stopped in while visiting family and had a wonderful time. All the staff are fantastic and as a vegan they had good options for us.
C. B.
Group of us took over the whole restaurant. Food was good, quite different, tasty, varied. Would definitely visit again. Staff were friendly and happy to talk about their food, to explain the origins of the flavours. A great evening!
M. R.
Nice set up, good to see an independent place to rival Costa around the corner. Service bit slow but nice coffee.

An incredible find - Caucasian hospitality in Berkshire. The coffee is great, my espresso macchiato was creamy and sharp, but hiding in the kitchen is so much more. Georgian food isn't so well known yet in Britain, but with places like this popping up that will soon change. Perfect lobio (a comfort food to rule over all others) and tea from a country everyone in eastern Europe knows is an underrated gem. There's also great fresh bread and baked goods to accompany, and occasionally the greatest elixir of them all, Borjomi mineral water. I'm sorry I don't live nearby as I'd definitely be a regular here. Go here and start planning your next holiday, in Georgia.
