D. C.Just discovered this absolute hidden gem of a little shop! Perfect for a tea, coffee and a snack (eat in or takeaway). It also offers a selection of household essentials, flowers and self-fill/refillable cereal, pasta, rice and popcorn!
A. S.I have just had a delightful breakfast at The Village Hamper. A bacon sandwich done just the way I like it, a British berries smoothie and coffee. Very pleasant team running this cafe-cum-shop. Highly recommended.
T. S.Lovely pick-me-up during our walk along the Thames. There was one small table outside which was ideal on this warm day.
The person serving was lovely and welcoming and looked after us well. The cakes were delicious, cappucino ok, tea spot on 😊
R. B.Popped in here for an excellent cup of tea after a walk around Sonning. Lovely little café and shop. One comfortable room inside with about 6 tables and 3 or 4 tables outside in the garden. Also toilets. Very friendly staff. Try the bread pudding!

S. M.We had a wonderful visit here on Sunday. Ordered coffee and croissants and made to feel so welcome by the owner who invited us and our three pooches to sit in the pretty little garden in the sunshine. We were given extra dog treats to keep our furry friends happy (I ordered some to take home as a customer in front of me said they were fab). The service was excellent, drinks and croissants were delicious and I cannot wait to return.

The sourdough bread we had for lunch came from France and was so delicious I bought some to take home. Staff so friendly and helpful too. Will make a trip back to sonning just for this place, recommended!

Gotta emphasis that the cakes are absolutely tasty as ever and reasonable on price I feel. The brownie is my personal favourite, very rich and smooth :) coronation chicken sandwich is also 👌
The fresh bread is very tasty and they sell essentials such as fresh loose vegetables and household basics.
I personally love the nice positive messages displayed out the front regularly also :)
Really can't recommend this spot enough if you're passing through Sonning.
