It was my first time to visit this place today. I was looking for a cosy cafe in quiet place to enjoy a decent cup of coffee. I landed at this place and I say it was great. Coffee was rather nice and flapjack cake thingy was delicious. The woman behind the counter welcomed us with beautiful smile and positive energy. Lavatory was clean. Chairs were of random theme so sit on a corner sofa or just casual wooden chairs- your call. Prices were bit high I must say but it was worth the value. Entire experience was good. I would definitely recommend. 5 stars.

Very friendly staff. Absolutely delicious gooey chocolate brownie. Efficient service, and not hurried, my friend and I sat chatting for about an hour and were not rushed at all. I had food envy when the people on the nearby table had their lunch delivered, so will definitely be back for lunch another day.

Wow, such a lovely place to relax or chat with friends and family! I’m personally not a coffee lover or even vegan but the baked goods offering is delicious as well as being so eco-conscious- it’s refreshing! The staff especially are super friendly with fantastic customer service. A good all rounder for a lazy weekend morning, a quick stop on the way to work or the way home and a chilled social! 5 stars xxx

Lovely little vegan coffee shop. Took my two kids with me and no one batted an eye at an excitable, cake-fuelled 3 year old. Coffe is nice, food is decent. Staff have good vibes, man.

Always very impressed with the staff in here! Super friendly when you come in. And I LOVE the brownies on the counter! Also, I don’t drink coffee but my partner tells me that the coffee here is really really good!

They get 5 stars from me, as my wife acknowledge the coffee is good! 1st star: overall the shop is a clean and good vibe. Easy nearby car park available next to the shop. 2nd star: the staff is friendly and welcoming. easy to place your order and get it at an acceptable time. 3rd star: the food is nice. But the highlight is their coffee. Can be considered one of the best in the Southampton city area. We try flat white and latte. 4th star: they provide a nice selection veg menu. 5th star: overall, it is worth a visit and we highly recommend others to visit and try them.

Popped into the Happy Bean for an after work pick me up! Had the most amazing raspberry chocolate brownie and latte. Found the service to be really friendly and enjoyed sitting outside and watching the world go by on Bedford Place. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stop here.

We went to visit on the first day it opened as we were excited to have a local veggie coffee shop! It was great to see the range of vegan cakes and we tried the blueberry croissants. They were AMAZING!! Highly recommend visiting whether you are vegan or not.

We had a coffee and a simple lunch here on the first day we were able to do so after Covid lockdown restrictions were eased in the UK. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and pleased to see us. Disabled access to the cafe area was good, though toilets are currently downstairs. The 19th Century building oozes history and has a lovely bow window at the front, which it is possible to sit in and enjoy watching the passers by in Bedford Place. There is an outdoor seating area too. If you are visiting Southampton, this is an easy walk from the City Centre and a good place to add to your itinery.
