Great cappuccino with oat milk and hot dark chocolate. Nice spacious room, so there is a lot of space between tables. There is also a big outdoor sitting space . The food took 30 min, but the avo toast and the full English breakfast were really nice. The avo toast was quite spicy , lots of chilly flakes.

Great coffee, milkshakes and brunch! The staff are really friendly and the tables/sofas are all comfy. I've eaten dinner here a few times and everything they've messed up my order. It's happened a lot at brunch too but the staff are so nice I've not minder though I'd always choose brunch over dinner here.

It was a good experience because the of the value, taste and location but I won’t give 5 stars because sofas and carpet didn’t seem clean to me. A beautiful place like this at such important location must be clean and sparkling all the time. Interior requires more decoration and of course, cleanliness. I could be happier with a little more warm welcome but it’s okay as there’s no such thing as perfection. Took photos of menu for reference as it may help others.

My wife, daughter and her husband stopped off here for a quick coffee after eating out at Southampton's Banana Wharf. The coffees were really nice, presented nicely and was delivered to our table by a very pleasant waitress. I haven't eaten here personally but my daughter and her husband have taken their children here for breakfast on the odd occasion saying that the food is extremely good.

Visited for first time this afternoon for a bite to eat. Certainly not disappointed!!! Loved the choice of music, the smell was good! Lots of seating to choose from and the service was too notch. Cakes looked delicious also! Loved that it was a small menu, so we knew the food must be tasty. Recently came in for a full English and decided to pay the extra for a large. Probably the best breakfast I’ve had in 2021. All items were cooked perfectly and the coffee was fantastic. Staff were attentive and friendly. Great location and the free parking is fantastic. Been a fan of Mettricks since they opened near me in Briton Street.

Perfect place to visit after a Saturday afternoon walk along the coast line of Weston Shore. The food is good, too. The only thing that stops it earning a full five points is that the service, even on coffee, can be a tad slow when it's busy. But if you're not in a rush it's no trouble.

I have visited here a couple of times and it seems to be quite popular. The coffee is very good and the menu although basic has variety. Could do with more lighting as it seems a bit dark and dingy in the winter months. In the summer you can sit out on the terrace which is very nice.

Food was good but ordering was a faff and drinks came well after the food even though ordered at the same time (which you understand when it's busy, not when only 3 tables occupied). The menu could be a bit clearer as you don't have waiting staff to ask, for example the list of burgers don't say what they come with or that you have to order sides separately, which we had to guess....

Space inside and out with views of the Itchen. During the day its nice and quiet, not been at night! Find a table then go to the Covid friendly counter to order and pay, Parking available close by. Wheelchair friendly. Rapidly becoming a favourite and heading towards 5 stars. Definitely one Mettricks I would recommend.

Food was very nice, sofas and chairs falling apart. Crazy because I was half way through my meal, I asked a waitress if I could have another latte and was told I had to queue and order another which meant my food would have gone cold and the drink I did have was brought over long before my food. I don’t really call that service!

Pre-pandemic was excellent! Since we went again last week all has changed. Ordering some through an app that deletes your basket after signing in—useful if you’ve already put your order in! Wait was about 20 minutes and it wasn’t all that busy, management need to put more staff on and streamline the ordering system or they’ll be left with lots of unhappy customers. Coffee very good.

I like visiting here on a regular bases, its a nice place to sit, eat, drink, catchup. The food an drink is always good the atmosphere (although sometimes very noisy) is fantastic. the furnishings are very rustic and really make the place what it is. The only reason i have given 4 rather than 5 is purely because I feel the team here can give so much more to make the experience so much better. Service can also be quite slow at busy periods.

Not the biggest fan of Mettricks overall but this one especially is amazing. The location is awesome and its near to the Woolston beach. We've got mums and babies meeting every week there and the staff handle all of us (more than 10 mums with pushchairs) always with smile although we do mess with the babies. The place is huge and there is everything you need. Changing room is very clean, big and nice. Pet friendly also! Very good for big groups.

Wonderful coffee shop overlooking The River Itchen and beyond city. Fantastic coffee, delicious food. As I live round the corner it's the perfect place to stop by for real proper coffee. Nice, dog friendly place on the Woolston waterfront (finally being developed!). Had pancakes (3 small ones for £5) with bacon (£2 extra) which were really nice. Some cocktails are 2 for 1 but you have to have the exact same cocktail which they should change. Worth checking out.

Bit disappointing for a Saturday night. Kitchen shuts at 9pm even though menu stated till "late." Then we were told that bar was shutting at 10 and they even turned the coffee machine off! Manager no where to be seen and the young staff were left struggling on their own. When we booked for my friends 40th birthday, we were assured that it was open late. It was not. Overpriced and very disappointing visit.

Located on the quay side, the terrace afford pleasant views of the Southampton harbour. The light and airy contemporary interior, with an eclectic mix of furniture and exposed light bulbs, was warm and inviting. The menu, like the interior, is contemporary in nature. A fusion of traditional menu items with a modern hipster twist, such as "own beans" and vine tomatoes. There are several considerations for veggies, vegans and those who prefer gluten free. Table service is kept to a minimum, orders are taken at the counter, but then served at the table. I opted for the Full English with poached eggs and a latte. The coffee was excellent. Rich in both colour and flavour and served in a glass rather than a cup or mug. The breakfast itself was also very pleasant, full of flavour and well presented. For example, the vine tomatoes still on their vine. The poached eggs were perfect, nice and runny, just how I like them. The "own beans" were also good, but being a littke bit of a traditionalist, I must admit to yearning a little for good old Heinz (other brands are available). Toast does come pre-buttered, so if you'd prefer to do that yourself, perhaps best to ask. Service was also excellent. We were well looked after by all staff, but especially a very tall Scottish guy. His manner was warm, friendly and relaxed. The restaurant as a whole was very clean, the toilets are unisex, well stocked, wheelchair accessible and with baby changing facilities. Overall, it is a place I'd recommend.

I ordered the Beef Wellington, it was divinely delicious. Tender quality cut of meat. The filet was so darn tender ... melt in your mouth tender. The duxelles was prepared well with hints of sherry. The pastry was flaky and held well to the filet. It was served with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. The BS' were cooked perfectly, not crunchy raw or mushy. The BW was one of the dinner specials and is not on the regular menu.

Mettricks has become my default place to grab a coffee in southampton. The Woolstone Mettricks has a large seating inside and out. I would sit out the back because great view of the harbor. The breakfast muffin was to die for. Cannot wait for my next visit.
