Reviews of Mr Eddy’s Tea Rooms
R. S.
Excellent lunch, though not a huge choice of dishes. Sensibly priced and generous portions. NB you can visit Mr Eddy's without paying to go into the gardens.

We had a snack and a drink there as part of our visit to Exbury Gardens. Motorway service station prices, but good quality.

Very pleasant tea room, lots of outside seating to take in the view and reflect on the gardens. Prices were on the high side, but they have less trading hours than most other similar outlets. Staff were friendly and gave good service. Food was good quality and well presented.
P. S.
Part of the gardens ,just mentioned, managed to provide a fast service for the visitors, plenty of room, staff are efficient and welcoming. Very good for families; food of good quality. Conviences are good and clean met a squirrel, who seem to be indignant at me, for disturbing its foraging activities.

You can use this cafe without needing to go into the Gardens. Good selection of lovely cakes. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A little bit more expensive than some other cafes in the area.

The food is fine and the service but can get a bit hectic at the busy times. The prices are a bit steep, there isn't anything else around to go too so go in enjoy the food and go back out and go around the grounds again and walk it off.

Under new management I think so time will tell - first impressions were good with friendly staff and efficient service.
J. S.
The soup was good but the bread rolls were very dry.
P. K.
Delicious coffee, very clean and covid safe. There's plenty of seating inside and outside.
My only criticism is that the young women serving our coffee handled the cups at the rim where you have to drink from. A definite poor hygiene practice. I think they have a training issue.
I don't understand why they don't accept cash, it's card payments only.

We stopped in at Mr Eddie tea room for refreshments whilst visiting Exbury Gardens. And whilst everything we purchased was very enjoyable we did however have reservations over the prices that they're charging for some of their items. I mean is there really any reason why they should need to charge £5 for a hot Cornish pasty? Apart from profiteering the answer has to be no.

Clean. Tables cleaned between customers. Bran burger & chips about £6.50. Chips about £3. But small cup of soup & a roll £5.50- which was a lot for what it was.

Nice food after a long walk around the gardens ! Not too busy and COVID measures observed - made us feel safe , thank you
S. H.
Exbury gardens are incredible, Mr Eddys tea rooms are completely the opposite, couldnt complain about the facilities themselves but the choice of food was poor, few choices of sandwiches or pastrys and not so hot coffees, considering the amount of people even during these hard times was not overly impressed, picnic next time

A lovely coffee before entering the gardens.

J. W.

Lovely service and nice fresh food. Would definitely come again and recommend. Very clean and picturesque.

Great coffee and lovely food.

Very nice food but menu on display needs to be more explicit. Every one in the queue needed to be verbally informed as to exactly what went with what which was irritating and quite confusing and subsequently delayed everyone getting their meals. Type of Soup of the Day also needs to be displayed - saves asking! Please help us to make informed choices.

Expensive and the hot drinks took ages! Need to get some more proactive staff, and two people on the coffee counter!
L. W.
Awww I just loved everything about this place, not just a beautiful location...
Great foods and drinks (slightly pricey)
Warm and friendly service...
I'll be by again - I didn't get to try the homemade sausage rolls - they looked amazing!
J. M.
Great selection of food and drinks, especially with the current circumstances, good value and quality and very friendly staff

Busy cafe with a great selection of afternoon teas and light snacks. Good outside area.
Staff are friendly and accommodating, baby food warming was no problem.

Very crowded and somewhat chaotic. Cappuccinos only passable very milky with little coffee. Come for the beautiful gardens not for the food.
T. J.
Expensive but tasty couldn't afford to eat if you had a big family or even 4 of you really .
h. c.
Fine but there's a Vegan Gluten Free hut across the way which is serving up delicious healthy food. Go there instead!
