Muse coffee shop has such a nice vibe. The interior of the place is so comfortable and relaxing if you are looking for a place to work/study. Staff are really friendly and their white mocha is amazing! I think I just found my favorite study spot.

It’s located in the middle of Portswood so it’s easy to find. The service was pleasant. The decor is of a bamboo garden furniture vibe. I was expecting to see a Panda with it all! Not to everyone’s taste but it’s clean and tidy. There’s even two hanging “egg” chairs if that’s what you want? The coffee was nice and prices are in line with all other high street chains. If you like it fine, if it’s to your taste. I just wanted a decent coffee.

Unlike most coffee chains thier cafe is bright with classy decor and comfortable seats. Jay and Elana took my order and made exactly what I wanted even though it was not in the menu. They were chatty the whole time I was there even though they were busy with an influx of orders the friendly banter and humour made the atmosphere up-beat yet laid back and enjoyable. I also wanted to mention Lilly who bought my coffee over to my table with a warm friendly smile on her face 🙂. It's always nice to see people who love what they do and take the time to interact with thier customers and build a rapport with them. You will not be disappointed if you go here. Delicious coffee and professional, with a bit of entertainment thrown in for good measure ! This place has it all !

A delightful and individual coffee house. The indoor area is fresh pastel hues with cane seating delivering a gorgeous open and, at once, relaxing atmosphere. As usual, nowadays, the order is taken at the counter, unusually the coffee is served to you personally at your table by very friendly staff. Coffee was excellent I didn’t need more than coffee but there’s an excellent selection of everything that I nowadays expect to find and it appeared very appetising, I succumbed to a couple of biscuits. Melting into my chair to, not only enjoy the coffee, but relishing the unrestrained congeniality of Muse. One of my more enjoyable experiences and consequently lingered longer lol. There’s also street seating to allow you to take in the wider Portswood student vibe.

I visited this beautiful and awesome cafe on one of cloudy Saturday. Ordered waffle and tea and both were fabulous and enjoyed thoroughly. The ambience is very energetic and innovative. Service was great in the pandemic that is something appreciable. I recommend to visit this cafe for a quiet bite.

Very nice cafe, the staff were nice and the place fairly priced. They were only taking cash for a short period of time. So we needed to take money out of a cash point. It isn’t far, it does charge you £0.99 per transaction. The coffee was good and my halloumi focaccia sadly didn’t quite met my standards as the halloumi was a bit hard, a bit stale. Other than that the overall experience was great. Also the female bathroom has an open jar with sanitary products for anyone to use which I thought was great :D

Really nice coffee shop, it wasn't too busy when I was there and seemed to have plenty of seating. More importantly though, the coffee was really nice, staff were very friendly and helpful. I didn't use the bathroom facilities, so I can't comment on them, although if the general cleanliness of the venue is anything to go by, they should be good.

The cafe was pretty, coffee tasted okay just average really. The staff that served me was a bit miserable and not very welcoming. The toilet facilities were gross you had to go upstairs into a flat the place upstairs just looked so ghetto.

Not only my favorite local coffee shop, but my favorite anywhere. We tried the new Metrics up the road and didn't like it so much - more expensive and not as cozy. But I wish Muse would improve their furniture, too many of the seats are broken or worn. Plus having a chest as a table, which you can't get your feet under, is just uncomfortable. Said in the spirit of constructive criticism. Still not going anywhere else though.

Such a lovely place. I have visited Muse couple times now whether it was morning of afternoon, customer service is amazing. The people who work there are super nice and always polite. I have had smoothies and they are delicious, always made of fresh fruit! When it comes to food, I have got there breakfast before - sandwich with pesto, chicken, tomato and rockets. It was really fresh and great quality products! I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to visit a place with such a beautiful design and great affordable food!

Interior and exterior of the cafe was nice, coffee was standard and the food I ordered was mediocre, but that is to be expected as there is really not much room for the employees to make anything of high quality. Speaking of employees, they are very nice and pay attention to their customers. However they could be a bit more enthusiastic as the heart of the employees changes the mood of the cafe in a click. Nevertheless, I understand its quite a new cafe and still developing so it has room for improvement but it is a very nice place :)

This has become my colleagues and my regular office day hangout place for coffee and quick bites during lunch, before work and sometimes even after. The staff and owner are exceptionally kind, friendly and generous which is another reason (besides their great coffee) why we keep going back for more. They often treat us to free coffee and extra stamps on the loyalty cards. Ever so thankful to them for this and more! Keep up the good work team! I decided to try this independent place on a Saturday morning for a coffee, a vegan sausage roll and some banana bread. Great quality food but the service was a quite slow and I'll put that down to one guy being on coffees and one girl being on till / handing out food to tables, so they were a little short staffed when the rush kicked in around 10am. It was worth the wait though (around twenty mins) - I'll let them off. I'll be back to my local coffee shop soon.

OK venue, but not keen on the covertly political undertones. Teach your sons!!! Female led business? It's a coffee house!!! Probably 85% of every coffee house is female led. It really isn't that big a deal. Pleasent staff, which was very welcoming at 08:00 on a bright, sunny morning, well priced at £2.20 for a large white coffee. Come down to earth, lose the unnecessary feminism, it might become everyone's favourite coffee shop? That said I wish them every success.

The contents of this cafe are rather delectable and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! The staff are all highly experienced & very kind people + know how to make an excellent beverage (my favourite being the milkshakes). Moreover, the interior of this cafe is very luxurious, from high quality comfortable seating, pretty flowers raining from the ceiling to eye pleasing aesthetics, it's a vibe! I definitely recommend all of you reading this to go to Muse, they'll see me coming more frequently. My go to cafe!

Think the negative reviews are quite unfair. Coffee is great especially with oatmilk. Its a new place so perhaps there will be some teething problems. Decor is fantastic. Delicious cakes (they have great brownies). Miles nicer and more interesting than your standard chain coffee shops. I hope they do well.

After my two teenagers begging me to take them, I finally decided to pay muse coffee a visit and I can defiantly say with confidence that it was the best experience I’ve had in a while!
