A. D.Love visiting this cafe on the marina. Was introduced to it last year and now visit at any opportunity. It is my venue of choice to meet clients for my consultancy business. Thoroughly enjoyed a full English breakfast this morning - great service, wonderful food and lovely surroundings. Well done Boathouse Cafe for providing such a great experience.

L. A.Really loved my trip here! The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and really good portion sizes. I tried the mackerel patè which was homemade (amazing!) and the fish & chips and beef burger were also great.
The place is quaint and beautiful, would love to come back in the summer to make the most of the outside space. Would absolutely recommend a visit!
K. S.Not sure what is happening here. Definitely doesn't feel like part of the Ideal Collection family! Lovely place to go for a drink but the last few times we have gone for food, sadly its not lived up to expectations.
We went back recently because we thought maybe previous experience was bad luck but unfortunately the food was terrible.
We had to ask for drinks order to be taken and waited quite a while, then they were wrong. Our burgers got sent back as they came back completely burnt and dried out. I'm not sure how a chef can actually let this out of the chicken! This was the same for the Ponzu chicken we had had the week before. Way too overcooked, although the salad tasted lovely.
To be fair to the manager, she did sort out 2 more burgers and they were much better and our bill was adjusted accordingly.
This is a really lovely location and obviously popular but we would probably only come for drinks and the view. Staff are lovely.
C. D.We had a lovely meal here in a great setting. I had the best burger I've ever had. I would have given 5 stars but we were charged twice for one of our drinks, as after ordering the waiter came to tell me they didn't have it, so I chose a different one but we were charged for both which wasn't discovered till we left. Disappointing.

B.Lovely atmosphere and surroundings ...very friendly staff ...however wasn't impressed with the vegetarian brekkie .....spiced sweet potatoes and avocado and goat cheese ...no thanks ..I just wanted a veggie sausage with all the normal trimmings ...ended up ordering a bit of sourdough bread with a small poached egg and a mushroom...
D. H.Lovely, casual and relaxed marina side dining/drinks. Jo (Manager) runs a great team of friendly, professional staff. Reasonable menu and prices. Recommended.
