Most if the other reviews are spot on but no one has mentioned that you can no longer go into the cafe without paying the entrance fee for the gardens and so will be an expensive lunch if you aren't interested in going to visit the gardens too.

Very small and not much choice on the menu, mainly jacket potato or soup for mains. Fine for a cuppa and cake, not so much for lunch. It was cold in there as well (visited in winter).

This tea room is situated within a large garden. Lots of outside seating for eating or drinking. Not a lot of indoor seating. Gardens are situated around a private residence. Gardens are really worth a visit
