This café is always clean and the staff are always friendly and professional. I just witnessed an extremely rude family treat the staff abusively and the staff were professional and kind with them regardless. I would not have held my temper like these girls did! They are a credit to the brand and one of the reasons I always return here rather than other branded chains. I highly recommend the iced latte with vanilla syrup, the perfect treat on a hot day!

Splendid experience, always a pleasure to comeback. Best coffe I had in Hanley to be honest so far, always I choose double espresso has a rich flavour and not over burned as many leave it to much which alter the taste! I love this place as it is always cleaned. And staff is friendly and always smiling, even if your day was bad, it will cheer you up. Good job Nero Caffe!

Called in for a coffee and hot chocolate, quickly served by efficient friendly staff. Drinks were lovely, only minus is I felt staff hovering to take our tray and mugs before we were finished. The place was empty so I think they were looking for something to do

I love an Americano, so thought I'd pop in. Really nice staff - great service. Great coffee too. My only gripe, and this is a biggie for me - the medium size cups: what's with the tiny, tiny handles? I've got normal size hands and I couldn't grip it without the cup tipping. The physics is way off. I had to hold it by the actual cup. Luckily I've got a massive pain threshold, and managed to get away with only 3rd degree burns. Still five stars though, as it's not the fault of the one Caffè Nero I visited.

The coffee and cakes at this shop are consistently good and just what I would expect from Caffè Nero. Staff could not be more lovely whenever I have gone in, even when I've dropped cups of coffee all over the floor! What interests me is the location of the shop and the how much the footfall has changed in recent years, matching with the decline of Hanley. This is is only my personal observations and I have no data to back this up, but it is quite noticeable and sad!

Much prefer cafe Nero to the other well known coffee shops. Always find the staff very warm and cheerful. The store is always clean including the toilets. Good selection of drinks and food at reasonable prices.

Always a welcome retreat, after a hard morning christmas shopping. Lovely hot caramel latter with cream was excellent, nice clean cafe with very pleasant staff who go out of there way for customers. Not too busy either since its slightly off the beaten track in Hanley. Will be back, next time the shopping bug bites.

Beautiful little cafe... My favourite place to sit and enjoy a well made coffee and listen to some fantastic music. Service is always amazing. Recommended for any coffee lover who wants some peace and quiet with an amazing drink!

Visit here at least twice a week, coffee is delicious and the staff are always cheery, friendly and prepared to help. I used to drink my coffee at a well known brewery owned chain but once I had tasted the coffee at Caffe Nero that was it!!! Best of all you get a reward card which once full entitles you to a free brew.

Excellent coffee shop. Warm ambience clean and hygienic. Helpful staff. Brilliant baristas(Nero seemed to have cracked this -they have more experienced baristas)-who take clearly pride in their work resulting in consistent great coffees all the time;never have to ask them to remake it unlike Costa/Stabucks which seem to be hit and miss this is reflected by their higher turnover in staff-at all the Neros I have been to(Nantwich,Altrincham Newcastle-under-Lyme and Hanley) you get friendly happier polite efficient staff-special thanks to Lauren. My favourite! Visited again today Saturday 4th August.. Once again flawless service Tanisha and Monica were great. Consistently good coffee ☕ highly recommended.

Went in like always both my wife and I commented on taste of tea. Both pots tasted of a lemon taste. They replaced with two more pots which also tasted of a lemon aftertaste in my mouth, thought we had been given Earl grey. Walked out think I will use Cota a bit more in future

I visited Cafe Nero in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, one of a large chain, which I use about once every week. Mainly for their free Wi-Fi. So I make one rather expensive cup of coffee last for 2 hours, while I watch YouTube and do the useless updates to my Android device, which come up far too frequently. Thereby using Cafe Nero more for their free Wi-Fi than quality of that one cup of coffee, made to last far too long! Coffee has become part of the High Street everywhere throughout Britain where it was a welcome arrival, when the change first appeared. Now, after it has become a familiar sight, we have possibly too many coffee shops on the high street, but that is the nature of the retail environment, where supermarkets have taken trade formerly done by butcher's and greengrocers.
