Probably the best fish and chips I've ever had. I really enjoyed them. Freshly cooked in front of me and only a 5 minute wait while the kind owner took the time to talk to me . Great food and great customer service.

Staying at the Crowtrees caravan site while taking in the beautiful Staffordshire Peak District we had a delicious Cheese and Mushroom Omelette, Battered Sausages and a Chicken Curry and Chips. All absolutely perfect. Great service.

Was working in the local area and had a fantastic freshly cooked Full English complete with chip shop sized sausage (mahoosife) and a cheese stuffed Oatcake ,I thought I'd died and gone to heaven !!!. Owner and wife very attentive, will visit again.

Stopped on the way back from a walk in the Roaches and so pleased we did. We had the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Cooked to perfection and very generous portion. Older man very friendly but the young lad serving needs to take some lessons from him how to be pleasant to customers.

Got back to the car late after walking eleven miles of the Manifold Way. Googled fish and chip shops and the Riverside Cafe was the closest. Very friendly owner, all cooked fresh while you wait. Busy and popular with the locals, which is always a good sign. Excellent value, highly recommended.

Nice little cafe in a nice part of the country. Clean, tidy and the staff were polite, food was nice, tea was a bit weak for my liking and the bill seemed a bit pricey but I would definitely go back.

We make a special journey when we fancy fish and chips. They are to die for just like the the great chips I remember when I was child. Everything made to order. Well worth the wait. Excellent service and excellent food its a food heaven cafe.

Excellent fish and chip shop with a cosy café. Great food at a reasonable price. Always a warm welcome to locals and tourists. Proper chips with a large menu of pizzas, burgers, full breakfasts available, etc. Really great village chippy. Highly recommended this cafe

After the good reviews thought I would try the Riverside Cafe while staying in Winkhill. All food was cooked to order and had burger, bacon, cheese and egg with chips. One of the best burger and chips I have had in a while. Would recommend if passing.

Bested CHIPS, just like I like them, Crispy and BROWN, Lovely Staff, Helpful and Pleasant , Manner, owner lovely Greek gentleman, always willing to SERVE AND ASSIST, Highly Reccommended, I always call in Waterhouses Chip Shop, when in the Area, and sometimes make special journeys to this fantastic Cafe. We were out walking with the dogs from lower moorend view caravan site. We thought it would be tea and cream cake type cafe........wrong.......it's a fish and chip shop cafe. Can't vouch for the food but on the positive side we did get a mug of coffee and they let the dogs in.
