My wife says "best tuna melt I've ever had that I haven't made myself". So I went and now have been twice. The staff and owners care about this place and it shines through. You want somewhere where you can eat and drink as well as one makes at home but a bit extra. That's here. Small, easy menu, wonderful drinks, fantastic staff. I love it and although don't do town so often it'll be a reason for me to agree to go in. Thanks to everyone, including nice customers too.

What a little gem this is. We asked about gluten free, then they went out of their way to check other possible allergy issues as we ordered. Amazing staff. Food was delicious and the hot chocolate 10/10. Well worth you seeking out next time you are in town!

Lovely Caffe in the middle of the town good selection of plant milk, nice looking food, unfortunately only one dairy free option for costumers. Staff is friendly and nice, place is clean and cosy, recommended. 😊

I brought my friend here for a breakfast and coffee. As usual, service, coffee and food were great, all at a reasonable price too!!! My daughter messed chocolate sauce on her top and when I asked for a wipe, they gave me a clean wet cloth to wipe her down. I've been here a few times now and will keep coming back.

I went to The Hideaway yesterday around 1:30pm after booking a surprise afternoon tea there at 9am that morning, i was told they needed 24hr notice of the afternoon tea but agreed as it was only for 2 they could accommodate us, which I was very grateful for. We arrived to find our reservation was in a quiet spot in the restaurant,and the table was nicely laid out and decorated with a birthday greeting for my sister which i found a nice touch! The afternoon tea arrived, with a good choice of 4 sandwiches, scones, jam and clotted cream, eclairs, mini lemon tarts, trifle (which was great as it is my sisters favourite!) and cupcakes and unlimited tea, but if you wanted you could have had coffee. It was a lovely atmosphere and really enjoyable afternoon tea, we were stuffed afterwards!! The staff were very attentive and friendly.We would definitely recommend going.Heres to our next visit!

Visited this cafe for the first time today. We booked the afternoon tea which was delicious! Very generous with portions & the scones were soft & fresh! Sandwiches were tasty.. everything was just so nice. Lovely touch to have a personalized reservation board on the table too! Best afternoon tea! 😍

What a hidden gem this cafe is! The afternoon tea is absolutely out of this world tasty and Becci went above and beyond to accommodate my booking and ensure we had a lovely time celebrating my friends birthday. Lovely cafe. Been many times. Good portions. I was impressed how quickly they managed to provide 7 different dishes. Staffordshire oat cakes with Med veg and feta cheese my favourite.

There was a lot of choice for the sandwich fillings, along with different choices of breads, this was well presented with a side salad (choice of dressings to go with the salad) and crisps. The sandwiches were delicious and plentiful. We were to full to enjoy the delicious looking homemade cakes, which we are looking forward to trying on our next visit.

A lovely and appropriately named cafe in Burton town centre, they do a brilliant range of luxury milk shakes like the strawberry one which has real strawberries in it. But their toasted sandwiches are the stand out attraction. We had the bacon, Brie and cranberry ciabatta and the chicken, pesto and mozzarella ciabatta, they one with crisps and a side salad with your choice of salad dressing and they are fantastic. And I know you can say ‘well, most cafes sell these’ and you’d be right but they don’t do them as good as the Hideaway Cafe does them. The only down side is the cafe isn’t big so sometimes getting a table is difficult, but they’re busy because they’re good.

This place is a rare find, friendly staff Covid safe and amazing food.I had the pumpkin spice hot chocolate.Mountains of whipped cream and velvety pumpkin spice goodness. The luxury. Bacon,brie and cranberry panini with crisps an salad. No salad cream here baby,have French dressing, have Caesar, your choice honey.Finally a real amount of bacon in a panini! Four rashers leave a tongue satisfied. To round it off, cherry crumble so buttery you fear for your heart but not for your soul. Immaculate. I will return!

So beautiful friendly staff clean yummy food.. cosy place in musk colours. YUMMY CAKES lunch brekky lunch snack and kids menu. There is a step to get in shop so id say no disability access im sure the ladies would come take your order tho.. there is out door seating :)

I popped onto "The Hideaway" just for a cuppa. I had a pot of tea which they offered to refill, and I had a gourgous Bakewell Tart with Ice cream. Anytime iam in Burton again iam going back. You must try this play out.
