We went here for a brunch meal and it was great! The staff were very friendly and the food was good. We got tea and toasties (as well as some cake to go) and the toasties were filling and very delicious. The cake we had was amazing (jammy dodger and salted caramel, I think). Will definitely come again, might try the afternoon tea next time (though it is a little pricey). Very good atmosphere and love the decorations.

Absolutely amazing afternoon tea, we had two adult ones, two small children ones and a larger child's ones and all 5 of us took a doggy bag home. Everything was fresh, tasty, presented beautifully and the service is absolutely fantastic!! Everything was explained to us in detail around what we could/couldn't have and what the cakes and scones of the day were. I can completely understand the wait list for this place and I cannot wait to go again!! Thank you for a brilliant experience and being so sweet to the kids.

Well this place is fantastic would give it 10 out of 10. Had afternoon tea with friends and we all agreed it was great. A quirky Alice in wonderland themed cafe . Visited here with a group for a baby shower. The food was divine and the staff so friendly and welcoming. Absolutely wonderful little place that I can't recommend highly enough. Hands down best place in Stoke. Called in to kill time and ended up extending the parking! Terrific food, all home made or locally sourced, and incredible selection of tea from Gunpowder to Gin and Tonic flavour! Would go back again in a heartbeat. Absolutely nothing negative to say about this place at all! Decor is amazing, atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the food is great value for money. Visited with my mum and sister and we had 1x savoury board and 2x afternoon tea between us and we all had food left to take home. Tea or coffee is bottomless and made from proper tea leaf which is just delicious (I had the earl grey and vanilla; gorgeous). Staff are so friendly and attentive and I think they really genuinely care about the service. The creativity in the baking really shines. I would have no issue recommending this place to anyone. Keep it up rabbit hole, you should be very proud!

I visited the rabbit hole tea room this afternoon with my husband for an early Valentines day treat. My husband had the ploughmans lunch and i had a sandwich and cake. The food was beautifully presented and tasted lovely. We have visited here on many occasions sampling a variety of dishes from savoury treats to a full afternoon tea and have never been disappointed. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, well done Lee and Sarah xx

Spontaneous trip to the Rabbit Hole Tea Room for cake, tea and coffee! Great place to celebrate a birthday. The staff are very welcoming and helpful they even told us the history of this place and showed us their some antiques. The decor really tells the story of Alice in Wonderland even the cups where themed. The cakes where were wonderful with a huge selection that was baked on the day. 10/10 would reccomend you booking a table.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We left an overcast stoke to enter a magical world straight out of Alice in wonderland. Aside from the beautiful decor and crazy upside down shelves the food was simply to die for. I stumbled across this place while wandering through Stoke after a football match, and I'm so glad I did. It's an Alice in Wonderland-themed tea room and they've really gone to town on the decor - the walls are filled with clocks of different shapes and sizes and there are images of rabbits everywhere, and copies of Lewis Carroll books on the shelves. The atmosphere is very welcoming and cosy, and the staff were extremely nice. I had a lovely pot of tea and a warm fruit scone served with clotted cream and jam, and it was delicious. I'd recommend checking them out if you're in Stoke, although the girl who served me said they are often booked out so I was lucky they could accommodate me.

Came in on spec on my own but they were fully booked. Nice setting and vintage music makes you feel liked you've stepped back in time. But nothing very different from other tea rooms around SOT. Did feel a bit cramped and a little noisy. They had a sofa at the back where I could have a sandwich and drink. But it wasn't really an appropriate place to eat. Ate at my lunch on my knee, the coffee table was to small.There is back area which also had great decor. It had 2 tables one had a post in front of it. It's also away from the main dining area. Service was ok but nothing amazing. Am disappointed, but will try again and ensure I book a table in advanced. Reply to owner - I'm sorry that my comments have disappointed you. The comments are superficial and observations. I dont think my 3 star rating will deter people from coming. This is not my intention. I'm no guru, you're a small, young family business but please see this as more of a learning curve. The service recieved was standard and lacked personal interaction. Yes I was advised the sofa is suitable for tea and cake, however I was hungry and I asked if it was possible to have a light lunch. To which you said yes. Maybe you should have no. Having sat there i dont think its even suitable for tea. I did feel out of place. I came in for the decor and dining experience, regardless of where I sat. Isnt that what a cosy tea room is about? The back area looked finished and even had diners there. I was just puzzled as to why the post wasnt painted in full since everything else seemed perfect. You only asked me if everything was ok when i came to pay not during. I would have gladly given some feedback but it was my choice to have lunch on the sofa and thought it was my fault (in which your reply suggests it was,) that I didnt receive some attention. But on reflection, you should be ensuring I was comfortable, especially knowing that this isnt the best place to eat. I hope that this explains my 3 star rating. Some personal attention, not just the standard 'was everything ok' at the end would have maybe got you 4 stars. I'm in full support of local businesses and whilst my first dining experience wasn't the best I will come again. The decor, food, music was great and your prices I found reasonable. I would have liked to have read some acknowledgement of my return in your comment for encouragement and that you'll ensure that I have a table in the main dining area when I book, instead you've focused on defending yourself.

Visited for Halloween afternoon tea. The tea rooms were busy but this did not impact on the service. The afternoon tea was adapted for the children and it was nice that we were able to choose the filling we wanted in our sandwiches and the cake we wanted to accompany it as well as which flavour scone we wanted. First time I have been, lovely theme, bit cramped but friendly staff, I was expecting proper scones with been after tea but I think we had rock buns which crumpled when we sliced in half to put jam and cream on, hence 4 stars.

We were given a Voucher for this place for a wedding gift and managed to go for a Halloween theme tea for two. one word.... WOW! the place is great with it's Alice in wonderland decor but as it was Halloween it was with Harry Potter themed cakes and drinks. we were surprised how much you get as we had 3 tiers of food and cakes. the staff were very friendly and helpful. this place was so good we're going again. There is a very good selection of drinks, cakes and food. Ok a few tips 1. Its a small place so booking is needed as its closed Mon-Wed 2. It's very easy to walk past it without noticing it even with it being on a busy road, plus the entrance is from the back of the place which is via the Car park. 3. the most important.... don't eat anything before you go, the amount of stuff you get is huge and give yourself 2+hrs for the visit.

If you have not visited this place then fix that ASAP! This beautiful, whimsically decorated "Alice in Wonderland" themed tea room takes you away from real life for a bit and the fresh made sandwiches and desserts are to die for! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Due to a health condition, I am on a gluten, dairy and sugar free diet. I’ve never been able to find an afternoon tea that could cater to this but I came across this business and saw that they already did gluten free and vegan and so thought it was worth asking if they could also do sugar free. I received EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and was told that they didn’t but to leave it with them and they promptly came back to me explaining that they’d done some research and were happy to give one a go! WOW, I was genuinely overwhelmed with how much effort they went to to research and create an afternoon tea for me. My ‘free from’ afternoon tea was honestly delicious, I loved every part of it! I expected one small sweet dessert due to the restrictions they had but mine seemed no different in quantity to my boyfriend’s standard afternoon tea. I was AMAZED and couldn’t tell they were ‘free from’, which I normally can because I have such a big sweet tooth and was always a dessert person before being on this diet! I felt like they WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND and it really did mean a lot. The CHEFS ARE CLEARLY EXTREMELY TALENTED as ‘free from’ baking isn’t always easy! I thoroughly enjoyed it so THANK YOU SO MUCH! I will definitely be a returning customer!

What a little gem this place is! The staff could not be more helpful and even brought a plate of plain white bread triangles for one of the picky eaters in our group of children. This is THE place to go in Stoke on Trent.We have been with several groups of friends since they opened.We have held 2 special occasions here with groups of 15 and 24.Nothing is too much trouble.The food is divine.I used to be in catering and their standard lacks nothing.They cater for vegans which is fabulous for us.Lee and Sarah and the team work long hours and it shows in the organisation, welcome, customer service and food.The decor is quirky.I have recommended The Rabbit Hole countless times and nobody has ever been anything other than delighted.How anybody can give a poor review is beyond me.To be honest they treat you like family.Lee your scones are amazing .Thank you so very much and see you again soon.Julia

Lovely atmosphere but savory meals aren't very good very fatty meats and unseasoned. The sweet menu is much nicer and more well made however the cakes often have a lot of buttercream that's overpowering. Overall a nice place but needs better quality for the price Edit: Thank you for your response you run a good place and I'm not trying to upset you or others I'm simply being honest after I had collected my thoughts. The meat at the time was fatty which may not be the same for most of the meat you use but was in that case Buttercream is very sweet and I just felt there was too much especially on the smaller cupcake I really do wish you the best but sometimes customers can't collect their thoughts immediately after eating

A most impressive selection of fine teas, light snacks, sandwiches, and an assortment of boards, each containing a different selection of fine savory snacks, cheeses, and sandwiches. A wonderful selection of cakes are on offer, and are of most generous portion sizes. A reasonably well priced establishment, fantastic decor that transports you to times gone by. A warm, heartfelt, homely feel makes for the most perfect of environments for afternoon tea with a friend, or loved one. Book in advance to avoid disappointment (although, I'm sure they would be able to squeeze you in without a reservation 😉). I can't recommend this Tea Room enough!

Amazing afternoon tea and great service. We visited as a party of 18 for my sister's baby shower. The sandwiches were fresh and the bread was super soft (which us a rarity for afternoon tea), the cakes were delicious and plentiful - in fact there were so many that we each took a bag home. We were delighted that the tea was on tap and the staff were quick to replenish our pots. I would highly recommend here for special occasions, it really is a very special place and the owners should be proud to have created such a gem in the heart of Stoke. I'll be back soon!

Had a lovely Sunday afternoon tea treat. Took my mum for her birthday and also my daughter. We had the full afternoon tea... Sandwiches with chutney and salad and crisps, followed by a choice of scone (with jam, clotted cream etc), followed by by the largest slice of cake I've ever seen 🍰😋. All of this is accompanied by other little Rabbit Hole treats, which I'm not going to spoil the surprise with here. Very, very nice. Needless to say we couldn't manage it all, so we brought cake home for supper. Copious amounts of fresh tea. The tea rooms are lovely, with interesting and clever decorations through out, all themed around Alice in Wonderland. All to be complimented with a lovely selection of teas and cakes. Anyone who enjoys Alice in wonderland will enjoy the rabbit hole tea room. It's nothing like I've ever been to before. Sweet on the Alice in wonderland theme with upside down clocks, a mishmash of bone China cups, plates and teapots. The sandwiches are exquisite with gorgeous cakes and fruit too tempt to after your sandwiches. I use a wheelchair and there is access at the back of the property. Nothing was to much trouble. The staff were lovely. All in all a perfect place for a girls get together, a baby shower or birthday. It's magical and a memory that will stay with you. Xx

We were blown away when we stumbled across this stylised little oasis tucked away in the MOST unexpected part of town!!! In retrospect, this is actually in-keeping with the experience this wonderful, secret, little ‘jewel in the crown’ tea room offers!! We just dropped in one day and luckily they were able to seat us, but did advise that normally they are full and recommended booking ahead in future, to ensure a table. I could see why. The atmosphere was relaxed, calm and unrushed, even tho it was virtually full to capacity. The proprietor took the time to chat freely with us at the end of our stay, answering our questions about the concept for the tea room and explaining that it was still a work in progress. So when we next return, maybe there may be even more delights for us to feast our eyes on!!! The girls both had the Children's Afternoon Tea & I had the Adult's Afternoon Tea. Both represented amazing value for money. Everything was homemade & absolutely delicious. The decor was mesmerizing & the staff were lovely and the service impeccable. We didn't manage to finish our cakes so they were beautifully packaged up for us to take away & enjoy later. I bought mu aunt a voucher for Christmas. Yesterday we went for our afternoon tea as it was her birthday. It was really lovely. The place itself is a joy for anyone to see. Young or old (my aunty is 83). Wherever you look there is something interestingly quirky. The staff were do helpful. Nothing was too much trouble,even giving us cushions for our chairs. All of the food was delicious. From the taste little sandwiches with home made crisps (and a salad which contained fruit that made it very tasty.). A choice of scones next. We chose blueberry. Then a slice of sponge cake ,lemon and blueberry. On the top three tiny fancies and s tiny glass of elderflower pressed with a tint of blue. With this I had a pot of Earl grey tea. Although I drink it all the time this was extra tasty. I asked if it was available to buy but they had run out of the retail packs. The owner put a few spoonfuls intoa bag for me at no cost. Absolutely love the Rabbit hole, the decor it unique and quirky, the staff were so friendly and very accommodating and the afternoon tea was amazing, I would highly recommend it, but book in advance as it gets full quickly as you will understand if you go, well worth the visit you won’t be disappointed.
