Really good coffee
Friendly service. Pretty exterior colour theme. Planet friendly takeaway cups for their hot drinks. Good size and comfortable outdoor seating area.

Friendly service with a lovely smile, decent coffee, well priced food. Disappointingly though, everything came in disposable cups despite us sitting down outside. Cute and compostable ones at least. Also no toilet, which is pretty shocking for a cafe.

Its an absolute joy to have this wonderful coffee shop in Old Town to add to our growing cafe culture! The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are fabulous. I love the seats out front - feels like you're in Bath or in France! the staff are all very helpful and friendly. I love purchasing the fresh bread when I'm passing and the brownies are extremely popular with my girls. Well done Mabels!

Was looking forward to trying Mabel's. I arrived around 1.30pm and there were only two varieties of rolls to choose from. Both meat, which luckily I do eat but still- if you're vegetarian or vegan not great. No proper cups or plates even though it was sit down as opposed to takeaway. If you're paying café prices, it would be nice to have proper crockery. Chocolate cake was delicious and the staff were very friendly.

We were really excited to come in and try your freshly baked pastries. Just to find they weren't fresh at all. Pain au chocolat was very stale, dry and hard. Tasted like it was leftover from few days ago. Croissant wasn't much better, very chewy and not falling apart like freshly baked croissant should. Overall disappointed considering we drove across Swindon to come in for breakfast. The seating area is lovely and this cafe has a great potential, however first impression wasn't a 5* for us.

Very much enjoyed my experience in Mabel's this morning. The interiors are warm and welcoming and the breakfast bar seating provides a pleasant a spot from which to watch the (strangely comforting) waves of traffic wash by. Outside, there is Parisian-style cafe seating. The customer service was friendly, but not over the top. There is a very wide selection of cakes, biscuits and pastries, all of which looked delicious. In terms of coffee, the blend on offer is an unpretentious Illy Classico (Arabica). Mabel's doesn't pretend to be anything it is not. That's to say: Mabel's isn't 'speciality' coffee... but it is a feel good cafe experience that I'm sure the Old Town punters will enjoy for some time to come. For doing what it says on the tin, Mabel's, it's a 5* from me.
