Reviews of The Thirstea Co

After a very hot walk I was able to purchase a very refreshing strawberry milkshake. Which when all other food and drink tastes horrid due to chemo milkshake is my life saver. The staff were wonderful and Lou thank you for your shoulder to cry on. It had Bern a hard week and you were so supportive. Thank you.
J. R.
Incredible ice cream on the edge of a great swimming beach. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Baby swallows nesting in the bathroom and free drinking water fill ups #plasticfree. Would recommend!
M. B.
Fabulous place , great value and Fabulous quality in a beautiful location
j. f.
Nice selection of sandwiches, and drinks, perfect café for by the beach or if your enjoying the long coastal walk. The portions were small though for the price you pay and I did leave feeling a little hungry! But it was delicious nevertheless.

Very good place to visit.. staff very professional..cream teas excellent..watch out for some very funny one liners from a male member of staff who shouts out your order number aligned with what you ordered.. brilliant!
J. P.
Superb café and position near the Trowan beach on the south West coast path. Great food and top, friendly service!
J. S.
Fabulous baked goods, fresh hot pasties, and truly excellent coffee (and hot chocolate!) On the beach. Spotless and welcoming, with excellent covid safety measures in place. What more could you ask for?!
H. B.
Perfect for refreshment (hot drinks and ice cream in tubs, plus small edibles) after a walk, with friendly service. Be aware: it's just a van and several picnic benches with umberellas.
G. B.
A pleasant walk along the sea coast, but the beach was not attractive.
C. G.
Lovely cafe in a great location. Cream tea was ace

An excellent find. A nice place to eat after walking the coast

Called in for a quick cup of tea, so glad we did, friendly staff excellent service, and sat and watched the swallows.

Great place to unwind and have lunch after walking the salt path all morning. The soup of the day with fresh bread was warming, spicy and the ciabatta had that perfect combination of crusty on the outside and soft open texture on the inside....keep coming back😉🌞

Great little cafe. Lovely family running the show.

This place was great - right by the beach, a tiny detour off of the coastal path. A really appealing selection of cakes, drinks and light snacks and a lovely courtyard seating area. The owner/ manager was very charismatic, keeping those sat in the courtyard amused. I hope he puts that voice to use by more than just calling out tea and coffee orders!

Lovely place, nice people good food… and prices kept low !

Fantastic friendly service, dog friendly, super toasties and coffee. 1 min walk to Towan beach.
J. C.
Nice place for coffee and cake. The beach nearby is great. Friendly owners.

Very nice location behind Towan Beach. Good selection of drinks and eats and very green, so much so it is a bit of a puzzle what to recycle where with a plethora of recycling points - but no complaints about that. We should all be doing this at every establishment.
S. P.
Great place to stop and have refreshments after a nice walk along Towan beach
B. H.
Must stop on way to Towan Beach or pop back when settled.
Good cappuccinos, tuna sandwiches and lemon drizzle to die for.
Seating outside, ordering inside and collection from the window, trying to safe distance.
Helpful and friendly staff.

We visited here on a Sunday around midday. It’s a small vintage van parked in a picturesque farm courtyard about 50m from the beach.
They sell pasties, filled rolls, cakes, scones, teas, coffees, cold drinks and ice creams. Everything appeared to be locally made as much as possible.
We ordered pasties, cold drinks and ice creams and ate at the picnic tables in the incredibly peaceful courtyard. The pasties were excellent, with soft, flaky pastry and great quality meat and vegetables.
Highly recommended, we will visit again.

Wholesome, tasty and indulgent cream tea in a beautiful spot. Indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent value and just what you need before and after your lovely walk... heartily recommended!
M. S.
Brilliant tea/coffee shop with the most delicious selection of cakes etc. The toilets were a welcome break (and immaculate)after a long walk.

Great little beverage wagon! I was particularly impressed by their recycling values - did you know you can get water in re-sealable, easy to recycle, tins? No plastic bottles here! Excellent idea and thanks to these guys for encouraging a more green approach. Oh - nearly forgot to mention the lovely selection of cakes! A great little find.

Great stop while completing a round walk from St Anthony Head to Towan and back via Place. Lovely cakes and coffees and it was really nice to be able to use our reusable coffee cups. Thanks so much :)
K. F.
Top quality hand made cakes and biscuits....local pasties and superb tea and coffee. Ensure every coast walk includes this cheerful van and his occupants!....A year later just as wonderful. Delicious pasties and cakes....and a wonderful welcome
B. R.
Great little cafe with a wide choice of snacks. Clean, tidy and well managed in the current circumstances. Pity some customers choose to ignore covid guidelines.
S. P.
Tea, coffee and cakes. What else needed after long day on the beach.
J. H.
We were very glad to find this van serving upmarket teas and snacks after a stroll around St. Anthony's Head. I can't pretend my taste in tea is particularly adventurous, but I always like to see any business which tries to raise the bar in whatever field they're in - and would much rather see this than a cynical attempt to extract as much cash from unwitting tourists as possible with a lazy lowest common denominator offering.
They're situated in a nice little courtyard setting, with a few picnic benches and little tables, and it made for a very pleasant spot for elevenses.

Decent coffee and great quality snacks/cake on the counter. A very nice addition to a favourite beach
K. S.
A fabulous find just off the coastal path between Portscatho and St Anthony's head. Lovely setting and delightful cream tea served by a friendly team.

A review in the style of the orders entertainingly bellowed from the serving hatch: ONE excellent coffee bar located in a modern wood shack, ONE hundred yards from the beach, TWO friendly servers including ONE theatrical-voiced gent freshly energised from a swim in the sea. Get your top-quality barista COFFEE here, with caffeine or with all the buzz taken out, with milk of the cow or of the oat. Don't even think about skipping the SCONES of the plain, fruit or cheese variety. Thank uuu. [Highly recommended. Park opposite in National Trust's Porth car park, currently £2/day. ^SW & KC]

Clean loos. Staff with real personality lovely place to stop on the coast path. Free car park for national trust members
K. L.
Nice cream teas. Very over and chatty. Really impressed that everything is served using compostable/recyclable materials. Even jam is served in plastic looking pots, made out of plantstarch! 100% compostable.

A favourite spot to stop on our coadtal walks. Hope the renovation and fitting out works are going well prior to there reopening.
Much preferred to the Hidden Hut

The best cafe I've visited during a walk..not least for the great location and service but to the owner held my camera which had been found and left in their care.. many thanks to whoever found my camera and was honest enough to hand it in. Hope you read this ..
