On the road, it is difficult to find establishments that cater for the needs of HGV drivers especially in built up areas. The moat cafe, is with out doubt, exceptional. The outside of the cafe is spotless, with no litter or overflowing bins, and ample parking for class 1 drivers looking for the best food in the area. The inside of the cafe is warm and welcoming, and well laid out with seating spaced out comfortably. Very clean with a warm atmosphere I was welcomed upon my arrival, and given exceptional service. The menu is wide and varied ranging from the traditional British breakfast to a burger that would make burger King green with envy. All food is cooked to order ensuring a delicious piping hot meal with great value for money Fresh vegetables and delicious meats, make this truck stop one that I will definitely be coming back too, as the service and food is without doubt some of the best I have eaten on the road. There is no overnight parking here, nor WiFi, but if this was added to the venue, and made into a 24 hour truck stop, I am sure that a fortune would easily be made. A superb cafe and trucks top, with the warmth and welcome that mancunians and Manchester is so well known for. Long may it continue for them

Good old fashioned Truckers cafe, proper breakfast at a proper price. Took me back to my HGV days. Will return and reccomend!

A basic road side cafe with plentiful parking space for cars, vans and trucks. Dine in or take away. Friendly staff who cook and serve good value tasty home cooked meals, snacks, tea ,coffee, etc.

Went to a Harley Davidson rally here. Very good facilities and friendly staff. Set in beautiful countryside within easy reach of Kirkby Lonsdale village.

Under new management very disappointed been going there since a child ,very greasy everything soaked in beans and tomatoes had to separate it all plate floated in grease wont be going again

Been using this cafe for over eeerrrr years since when it was a called the Wooden Hut, Yvonne's, Salmonella Sue's, Sizzle Sisters, LA cafe, right through to it now being Moat Cafe.
