Reviews of Café Afloat
M. F.
A lovely cafe in a beautiful location. The staff are fun and friendly and the service was very good.
There are hot drinks, cake and simple snack food available which smelled great. The location is great for a walk along the river or canal and there were plenty of dog walkers around. The cafe gave us a key to access the toilets next to the dock so there are facilities available. The dock car park is similar cost to any in Worcester but there is free parking in the local streets (if you can find a space) for a maximum of 2 hours.
Definitely worth a visit if you are local or visiting and fancy a walk with a coffee/cake stop.
We'll be going back. 👍

Warm welcome, plenty of comfy outdoor seating alongside the canal. Absolutely delicious bacon and tomato sandwich, quickly prepared. Good coffee. Lots of other food options. Nice walks nearby.
T. L.
Pleasant coffee and cake from a canal boat in the harbor/marina. And they offer sausages for dogs who come along!

31/7/21 + 01/8/21:
Finally managed to bring the other half out to play and we've had your absolutely delicious Bacon+Sausage on brown with BBQ sauce and Bacon+Mushrooms on white sandwiches, wow best bacon sandwiches ever!!! Oh, the chips were spectacularly delicious too.
The rumours that you did such delicious breakfast, sandwiches, coffee, cakes, icecream and all the rest of your food selection was absolutely true 👍👏👏.
Big Thanks Dave to you and your very friendly and welcoming staff for such a great café and being on a canal boat at Diglis Basin is something else and very special. Glad to see you busy with people who really appreciate something special such as your Café Afloat...
Special thanks to Conor and Lewis for your friendly service and cheerful demeanor, you are both stars 👍👊.
Hopefully see you again soon on our way past Diglis Basin to Stourport. Take care and stay safe...the J's
30/7/21:
Popped in to see if I could get some of their delicious homemade cakes before they closed at 15h30 and luckily I did, woop!
In the end, I opted a slice of the Lemon Drizzle cake and a slab of their Tiffin homemade shortbread/brownies...chocolate with raisins and a secret recipe...
I need to bring the better half here before we set off along the river Severn on our way to Tewkesbury, then Gloucester and finally to Sharpness...phew!
I've heard it on the grapevine that their Bacon butties are delicious and the best around the Diglis Basin area...!
Thanks Conor and all the lads for such great friendly service and hopefully be popping in again before we chug off down the river Severn. The J's 👏👍

Lovely outdoor lunch at Cafe Afloat. Service was friendly and the menu offered a good selection of sandwiches, wraps, jacket potatoes and cakes. Our food was beautifully fresh and tasty. Thank you.
J. H.
Serving from a narrow boat, coffees and toasted sandwiches can be enjoyed at the canal side. It looks like a good place to stop when walking a dog.
S. N.
A great experience for little ones.
There's room on board and under cover for three tables each seating 3 to 4 people. Which is honestly just right, on sunny days most people take advantage of the ample outside seating, so if you have a toddler in the cabin area is safe and something different for them. They'll enjoy peeping out the windows at the boats during their meal.
Very child friendly, there are toys in the cabin eating area for tiny toddlers. Its a family business and its very friendly.
The sausages are not bland cheap super market also rans, they're lovely seasoned proper sausages.
We're going back there again for sure.
G. R.
Lovely cafe, great location. Food always super fresh and wonderful coffee - sadly not open 7 days a week .
D. M.
We had a very nice bacon roll and lovely cup of tea .Luckily I didn't have to order as my mate almost had to get on his knees
M. E.
A lovespot for breakfast a coffee or lunch. You may just need a snack or slice of cake, itsall here Relax in the Diglis and watch the narrow boats.Just a really nice spot..
G. B.
It's a great place for really good coffee and a quick bite.

Our first visit in more than 2 years. Cafe Afloat has a new owner and now offers a great selection of toasties, jacket potatoes, soup, cakes, hot and cold drinks and ice cream. Lovely sitting next to Diglis Marina in the sunshine. Highly recommended.
S. D.
A really lovely floating service cafe with outdoor seating at Diglis Basin. There is a covered area incase of rain, but as all the locals know, it never rains in Worcester.
A comprehensive menu of teas, coffees, hot sandwiches and cakes, all displayed with prices.
I. M.
Cheery, welcoming staff and lovely food.
J. L.

S. T.
Lovely coffee great service looking forward to going back for breakfast.
F. B.
I took my son, daughter and mother there for lunch today. We had 2 x tuna sandwiches on granary bread, 1 x jacket pot with cheese and beans and 1 x sausage sandwich. We had 1 x coffee, 1 x apple juice and 1 x can of blood orange pop. This was £21 and ? pence. We then had 4 x freshly pulled icecreams with flakes that were £11. In my opinion we got our moneys worth as all the food is fresh , the service is lovely, the atmosphere is relaxed and there's music in the background. The sun was shining too. Seating and chairs were available too. It's my second time there but most definitely not my last. !!!!
M. R.
Good friendly service. Had a very tasty bacon and mushroom sandwich with tea and sausage and mushroom sandwich with coffee on board the boat. Absolutely lovely.
と.
Great location and fair prices all things considered.
The soft-serve / Mr whippy ice-cream machine isn't the same quality as you would get out of your traditional ice-cream van which was slightly disappointing.
The rest of the food looks decent though!
E. J.
Nice coffee and breakfast sandwich in pleasant surrounds
J. D.
Had a lovely cuppa with a friend they offered my dear doggy a sausage..
Her's came out quicker than ours no charge. What's not to love ..
Thank you very much.
M. R.
We loved our first visit to Cafe Afloat . The service was top notch and all the staff were attentive , friendly and although they were all very busy , took the time to have a chat with us .
Coffee n Walnut cake was some of tastiest I've had and our drinks arrived quickly . A little gem in the Diglis Basin which I'm sure we will be visiting again soon .
Thanks guys .

Great place to visit ! Nice location and setting to enjoy some food and drinks off the barge.. Had a full english breakfast and it was fantastic!! And didnt have to wait long at all for it ..Very friendly welcoming staff highly recommend !!! 👍
C. P.
Warm welcome, lots of selection and very reasonably priced. Grandparents love it here and the nice day to day chat Dave and his team have with them. Highly recommend!
D. W.
First visit today and won't be our last! Really good coffee, good selection of cold drinks and delicious food. Nice seating outside by the canal basin.
S. R.
Super little place. Owner really patient and friendly with the kids, even taking the time to show them around the boat. Will definitely be back!
J. H.
A welcome reprieve from painting our barge. Has to be one of the best bacon and sausage baps we’ve had, great coffee and delish choc brownie 👍
S. K.
Great place to sit with a coffee relaxing looking at the narrow boats!! Great hot chocolate!! Good coffee and best bacon butty around! Friendly staff!
K. K.
Busy! I'm pleased that cafe afloat is still in business. Turkey, brie, cranberry & stuffing brunch with a flat white.
Nice spot in Diglis basin to stop and watch the world go by for a bit.
Tables & chairs for outside seating.
Plus, they sell swan food for the #swanfoodproject.
M. E.
You will always get a very warm welcome here and the coffee is the best in town. If it's cold sit inside the boat which is absolutely beautiful and treat yourself to a hot chocolate. The sandwiches are to die for, fresh bakery bread and top quality ingredients. The tea cakes are the tastiest ever and i know they have been very particular with the recipe from their bakers.
If your on a walk with your dog stop by and when you place your order ask for an Alfie - a cooked sausage for your dog! Best little cafe in Worcester without doubt!
L. “. d.
Had a lovely breakfast with family at Café Alfoat a few weeks ago on the bank holiday. The barge has seating available on board and tables and chairs outside, and is in a beautiful setting. We sat on board and enjoyed the view through the porthole windows, watching the fish and ducks swimming around. The breakfast was very good, and served with a lovely big mug of tea. The staff are very warm and friendly and we all left feeling nicely full and really relaxed and chilled . If you're visiting Worcester and fancy a bit of lunch or breakfast, or a coffee with a bit of a difference, Definitely pop down to Café Afloat!
R. C.
Great service although very busy! Our order didn't take long at all!
A. M.
Cafe looks amazing after it's paint job, love stopping off for coffee and cake, ideal situation
E. R.
Very friendly staff. Great place to stop off for a drink and snack if you're in the area eg River walk. Only criticism is the coffee cups are on the small size and not everything for sale is listed on the board. I had a fabulous toasted tea cake but it wasn't on the menu so could have missed out!
M. F.
Good coffee, good efficient service! Perhaps a tannoy system is needed to attract the attention those too deep in conversation to hear their food/drink are ready.
A. A.
It is a very enjoyable place to eat
J. D. (.
Great coffees and smoothies, and really tasty vegan sausage sandwich (defo add the hash browns!)
I. T.
A warm welcome for those people (& dogs) looking for a drink and something to eat after walking along both banks of the River Severn, which is unusually located on a narrow boat in Diglis Basin, Worcester. Well worth a visit & great to support a small independent.
C. G.
Drinks and food from a Barge moored on the Canal. Plenty of seating and friendly staff. Wonderful views of the locks and other boats.
P. S.
I ordered tea and cakes for a volunteer group. Everything tasted great, was on time and was excellent value for money. We'll be using the café again!

Great location on the Diglis basin. Food & drinks quite good. Reasonable prices. Lack of outside seating and very hot inside the barge are the only minus points.
