Oh my goodness what a great find whilst out with my 2 year old today! The staff really couldn’t do enough for us, and even tailored a meal just for my little girl with all her favourite foods. Such a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning!

We had a very nice lunch here. Food was tasty and the service was quick and friendly. We sat outside and the street was nice and quiet. They got our drink wrong but they apologized and we just had the one they brought out which turned out to be very nice.

Gem of a cafe, they serve the best lattes in York, the coffee beans are made locally, (I think they are from "the dancing goat" company) sorry if I got that wrong, the lattes were hot, tasty and served in a mug, lovely! We had a slice of the carrot cake too, delicious! A 5-10min wait to get a table but that's not surprising, it's very popular. The servers were polite, prompt, well presented and really friendly.

A lovely place that has an out of town feel even though it's in the heart of the city. A relaxed atmosphere with a great menu choice. Made us feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. We stopped by for a cooked breakfast and it was just perfect. Quality ingredients and cooked just right. Would definitely recommend.

Very delicious sandwiches and perfectly baked jacket potatoes. Delicious coffee with a homemade biscuit. The salad was fresh and the balsamic dressing was lovely. Clearly a lot of effort is put into making food as fresh and tasty as can be. The prices are very reasonable and customer service is really lovely. The atmosphere is really cosy. I would recommend to a friend!

Beautiful cosy place, lovely food with gluten free options. Friendly staff who take your order, check dietary requirements and provide recommendations. Didn't disappoint. Gave 4 stars due to having nowhere to dry hands in lavatory.

We took our little sausage dog in and they brought him a bowl of water and gave him lots of cuddles! The food was delicious, the crispiest panini I’ve ever eaten and yellowest scrambled eggs we’ve ever seen! Fabulous! 10/10 would recommend to anyone coming to york.

Two of us popped in for breakfast late morning on a Sunday, the staff are very friendly and the cafe was really clean. During our breakfast (which was amazing) various sized groups came in and the staff went above and beyond to try and accommodate them. I will definitely be going back again.

Fantastic little café with friendly and helpful staff. The brownie I had was absolutely amazing, one of the proper gooey ones. The BLT was very nicely presented with nice sized portions and fresh salad. Both iced coffee and cappuccino were lovely. A little hidden gem!

Our daughter took me and my wife to Bruks for a joint birthday celebration. The cafe is clean and comfortable. The menu is varied especially for gluten free items. This place gets busy because it is soooo good. The staff are wonderful, the coffee is great and the cakes are out of this world. I did had a daddy-daughter date on a Saturday morning. The lady got a colouring book, a letter for her to write to Santa. She had a hot chocolate in fox mug with lovely ginger thin biscuits... Daddy enjoyed an unbelievably good salted caramel shortbread. One of York gems of a coffee shop.
