I can’t wait to see the development of this little gem of a coffee shop. The interiors are gorgeous and the crockery stylish, which pairs delightfully with the fantastic flavours of their coffee. Seriously, it’s very good! The food is limited at the moment to cakes, sandwiches and soup but what they do offer is very tasty indeed. I’m so excited to see this place grow and become a regular spot for coffee lovers and musicians alike!

Could it be the best new coffee shop in York? Busk is fabulous. It’s delicious coffee and a neat selection of tasty treats served up by lovely people. I had a coffee a brownie and a chat, and I’m now looking forward to seeing how the live music space behind the counter develops. I’ll be back to check it out!

A wonderful, newly opened cafe, so friendly and happy to help. Simple breakfast of coffees and crumpets done perfectly. We left just as brownies were being taken from the oven and the smell was divine! Might well pick some up on the way past later (if any are left!)

Had a beautifully made flat white and a slice of their lemon crumble slice which they bake in house. Sooo nice and way better than the frozen stuff from the big franchise coffee shops. Lovely, friendly staff and most importantly doggo friendly!

Busk is my favourite coffee shop in York. Everything they serve is a really nice quality and a really decent price. The staff are so friendly, the experience is lovely. It is light and open too, which is great on a morning. I'm telling all of my friends about it and dragging as many with me as possible.

I absolutely love this coffeeshop - it’s such a hidden gem! The coffee is really good, there is a great choice of tasty breakfast, brunch, sandwiches, homemade cakes, salads etc and the service is absolutely fantastic. What I really like about the place is that it uses local produce wherever possible. I always feel welcome and comfy straight away!

Time and again you get a warm welcome from the friendly staff. The coffee is good and the food tastes great (particularly the sausage sandwiches). Well worth a visit. The only downside was that it was hard to get a table but that's better now they have opened the back bit.

Excellent. Went for a music event. Lovely venue. So nice to have a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks and lovely tea and cake at the interval. Coffee smelt gorgeous and apparently tasted great too. Good service.

Excellent coffee, fabulously delectable pastries, good breakfast fare (with simultaneously the most simple, accurate and subversively cheeky name) excellent ambiance, excellent prices, a brilliant loyalty program and the shining star of it all: the owner and staff. Sophie and her team are SO friendly and kind and GENUINELY know their customers and care about them. Busk has added so much to the community spirit of the area and really brightened up the neighborhood. This is a model for what a successful, community-oriented business should be. Seriously, the coffee and cakes make me recommend Busk every time someone asks... but its one of the only places I return to because I genuinely, honestly like the people.

Coffee was good and a reasonable price for York. Ambience is relaxed and slightly 'hipster'. Service wasn't hughly friendly though - didn't get any warm smiles from staff whilst serving. I don't look very middle class, studenty or hipsterish and did feel a little like I wasn't their 'usual' clientele though.

This is a lovely little coffee shop in Fishergate. They have good coffee that's all made, as well as a number of other drinks and they do food such as toasties. There is a good cake selection and a decent number of seats as well as WiFi.

I love the salami toasties here and the cornflake cakes are gooey delights. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the cafe is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. I'm excited to enjoy the new seating area.

Stylish new coffee shop on Fishergate. The coffee, from Roost in Malton, is excellent and the bacon butties large. The staff are very friendly and it was exceptional value for money. Looking forward to the seating area opening in a few weeks. Dog friendly too.
